Very nice small hotel by the lake. I got a good size room with a lake view. I took one star off because the black chandelier in my room had dust over it and some of light bulbs were not working. Other than that overall very clean. The property does not have a lift and so make sure to request first floor room if you do not want to use stairs. This cute hotel has electric car charging station. Overall very nice experience!

I absolutely love this gem of a hotel and restaurant on the lake. The room is pristine with an extremely comfortable bed and quite spacious. The restaurant is excellent and the staff is friendly and accommodating! The restaurant design is gorgeous and the pool and jacuzzi are charming and open 24/7. The complimentary Tesla charger is a plus! I highly recommend The Chateau and Melange restaurant! Charming, classy, cozy, relaxing…my new favorite getaway!!

Jose and rest of staff are best ever with their friendliness and desire to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The only improvement they need to make is to regularly clean the out door seating and replace torn and ripped seat materials that are visible and off putting. Bird poop everywhere on seating spots outside when you want to enjoy the beautiful lake.

Hotel is lovely. Restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesdays. Pool is closed currently too. Very nice room and pretty setting close to everything in La Quinta.

Lovely lakeside retreat in the desert. Quiet, charming, near restaurants. Pool & jacuzzi are in the back of hotel in a walled in area. Pool lounges need an update. Room was comfortable. We had a lovely patio with lake view. Light breakfast included.

Staff was good. Beautiful relaxing environment on the lake. We requested a lower floor which open towards the lake and was given the room requested. we traveled with a dog. The hot tub was very convenient right outside our door by the pool. We would stay here again for rest and relaxation. Breakfast was OK. Need to add some protein food or at least protein breakfast bars. Some of the coffee cups were dirty in the morning on our last day. We recommend that the staff clean up the dishes, left outside by others for two days, noticeable.

We've loved staying here over the years, however now the place is pretty run down. The pool and pool area have old dirty run down chairs and it is npt cleaned daily. No towels are available anymore for pool use. Also only continental breakfast, which is sad because the restaurant always had amazing food. Fixtures need updated in much of the hotel. The rooms are still very nice and comfortable but older. The staff is phenomenal every time and will handle your every wish.

This is a beautiful building with lots of charm. It does feel a bit neglected in the outdoor spaces. Pool furniture is tired and needs pillow replacement. I am fussy about cleanliness. On the surface things looked ok. However, if you look closely, the rooms need a serious deep cleaning. We didn’t use the patio outside our room as it was full of leaves and the chair pillows were not clean. The location was convenient for us and the room price point was very reasonable. We would highly recommend if the improvements listed above were possible.

I booked the Superior Room specifically because the listing on Hotels.com showed rooms with hardwood flooring, which is important due to my wife's allergies. However, upon arrival, we were given a room with old, dirty carpet that hadn't even been vacuumed properly. I have photos to document the condition. The balcony was also very dirty, making it an unpleasant space to sit and relax. While the view was nice, that was unfortunately the only positive aspect of our stay. Even the pool was not clean, and we ultimately chose not to use it. Overall, this stay was a disappointment and felt like a waste of both money and time. It's a lesson learned-we won't be returning, and I'll be sharing this experience in reviews so others can make a more informed decision.

The room we were given was not cleaned, the room needed maintenance as there is extensive water damage on ceiling/wall above patio door, the shower has mold in all of walls grouting, all vents in room are clogged with dust/debris,& complete carpet in room needs replacing as it has stains throughout.

This place was extremely disappointing. I have been eyeing this place for a few years now and finally had a chance to stay a night with my wife. 1st, out room was of course right next to the entry/lobby and we could hear every thing going on outside the room. The bathroom sink was clogged The towels had a strange texture that didn't dry but almost repelled water The TV was broken, screen had a bunch of bright dots on it, had to use 2 remotes for it to function, and the mount was partially ripped out of the wall. The patio was dirty and unkept. Both lamp shades were damaged and wouldn't stand straight. The floor and walls behind the furniture were completely filthy and probably haven't been cleaned in over a year The patio door drapes were also filthy and stained, bad paint touch ups everywhere Flying insects all over the ceiling and in lamp shades Patio doors barely shut with poor seal A shotty room at Best As usual, the pictures on hotels.com paint quite a different place than in reality. Pool was dirty, unkept Maybe they put it us in the worst room, but I don't know how all the praising reviews aren't doctored I've stayed in cleaner and better kept Best Westerns.

We stayed in a Bungalow room. I wish you could see the actual room you booked. The room was nice, with a great lake view location and a patio over the lake. My only complaint is with the TV set up and lack of getting local channels. The hotel staff did not know how the TV system worked. We did get Netflix, Prime and MAX thanks to the previous guest not signing out their accounts. So, if you log into your streaming service, don't forget to sign out. The staff were excellent (hotel and restaurant), and the restaurant was a great location for a peaceful meal—a small but nice pool and spa. This is the place if you are looking for a small, relaxing hotel. Kids would be bored, but it is an excellent place for adults to unwind in the desert.

Very nice hotel, beautiful views! Very convenient location. The only negatives were that the Wi-Fi would not connect to the internet, and the free continental breakfast consisted only of toast, fruit & coffee/tea. I was expecting more for what was paid for the stay & from a nice place that had a full kitchen on site.

The room was very spacious with plenty of storage for clothes. Two end tables that doubled as dressers in addition of a large dresser. Also, a closet for hanging items. The ‘backyard’ looked out over Lake La Quinta with two chairs, and a table, for sitting. The bed was comfortable; although when driving to our destination we bring our own pillows. The bathroom was large, and spacious, but had no door; except to the commode area. There was a shower and a bath and a double sink vanity. The towels need to be upgraded to a higher quality. The continental breakfast was fruit and rolls. A little pricey at $500.00 + per night but overall I would give it a B+ for a score.

The Château is darling from the outside. And at first look, it seems great on the inside until you look a little deeper. The rooms are tired. Our curtains were broken, so couldn’t block out the exterior light that stayed on all night. The bathroom fan was difficult to work, the coffee maker struggled. There were no amenities such as ice, wine opener, fans, or anything to circulate air much in the room. Deck was small, but enjoyable, except chairs had not been wiped off so needed to do that ourselves.

Absolutely loved this hotel!!!! It was prefect to celebrate our anniversary. I loved everything about this hotel, the room, the patio, the view and bathroom decor was stunning. The giant tub was an amazing way to relax. Definitely marked this hotel down and one of my favorites. Plus, the price was very reasonable. 5 star from me!

Room was good. We were expecting a first floor room but I was told it was not available even after I requested when booking. I called a week ahead to let the property know that we were celebrating an anniversary, they stated they would have a complimentary Champagne at our room but that was not the case. View from the room was great. Room was clean. There were a few minor things that we thought the room needs updating like a mirror in the room, we had to depend on the restroom mirror all the time. Lamps can be updated to have usb plugs. Overall good room, peaceful.

Cute place. Bed was comfy. Air conditioning did not work. (Glad it wasn't crazy hot, but the room was mucky) It would be nice to have a floor length mirror in the room. View of the lake was awesome. Will try this place again in the future. Only had drinks at the restaurant on site but the service was great.

Our room 107 shared a common wall with the Dining room, which played pleasant background music. The outdoor speakers were disturbing when trying to rest. Staff was understanding and cooperative, turning the outside speaker off, but the indoor speakers still bothered me.

Beautiful views of the manmade lake are very nice for the desert. The staff is nice and welcoming, the restaurant was better than expected for dinner. Overall totally fine place to stay and enjoyable. Areas for improvement - gluten free options at the free continental breakfast like yogurts or oatmeal would be nice aside from muffins and bread and bagels. This place was extremely disappointing. I have been eyeing this place for a few years now and finally had a chance to stay a night with my wife. 1st, out room was of course right next to the entry/lobby and we could hear every thing going on outside the room. The bathroom sink was clogged The towels had a strange texture that didn't dry but almost repelled water The TV was broken, screen had a bunch of bright dots on it, had to use 2 remotes for it to function, and the mount was partially ripped out of the wall. The patio was dirty and unkept. Both lamp shades were damaged and wouldn't stand straight. The floor and walls behind the furniture were completely filthy and probably haven't been cleaned in over a year The patio door drapes were also filthy and stained, bad paint touch ups everywhere Flying insects all over the ceiling and in lamp shades Patio doors barely shut with poor seal A shotty room at Best As usual, the pictures on hotels.com paint quite a different place than in reality. The service was poor to say the least. The room was not cleaned the entire time we were there with no clean linens or toiletries provided. Additionally, I had requested an extra bed in the room, but when I arrived was told they had not received the request. I was assured at check in that they would accommodate my request, but it was not provided. Also, there is no elevator or escalator in the property making it very difficult to transport luggage to/from the room on the 2nd floor. Not recommended.

All in all, the Chateau at Lake La Quinta was good! We arrived late at night and were very unsure about the property. No one was at the front desk and we thought we were entering at their restaurant. We finally found the person on duty and he was very kind and welcoming. The hallway was dimly lit and the door knobs old school. The room was spacious, very quiet and the bed was comfortable! The bathroom sink was very slow to drain and there wasn't any hand soap. Otherwise, the restaurant downstairs was fantastic!! The view is really pretty and the staff friendly!

The location of this property is fantastic. The check-in staff were hospitable and friendly. I loved the surprise champagne. We live in hotels as we travel for work, and as an owner of an incentive travel company, event planning company, and previous travel agent, my expectations are different than most people. Hotels are our home. When I book hotels for clients, I expect them to deliver exceptional service. With all this said, this is a solid hotel. It's quaint, although understaffed. We didn't get our room serviced and I later read that we had to put out a notice on the door to get service (no hang tag in our room). The restaurant is closed on Mon/Tue. Lovely setting on the water makes for great room views. We particularly loved the French music being played throughout the hotel the night we checked in. Glass of sparkling wine in a chilled flute at check-in was a nice touch. Pool/jacuzzi area is quite small, with seating for only 10 people total. Continental breakfast was underwhelming. Parking was easy and close to rooms. We enjoyed the outdoor fire tables in the evening, as it was a little chilly outside. Wish the bathroom had a tub. Facility could use some sprucing up. I absolutely love this gem of a hotel and restaurant on the lake. The room is pristine with an extremely comfortable bed and quite spacious. The restaurant is excellent and the staff is friendly and accommodating! The restaurant design is gorgeous and the pool and jacuzzi are charming and open 24/7. Such an amazing location and beautiful lake views! Enjoyed a charcuterie board from the restaurant on site on our 1st floor patio - so yummy and relaxing! Staff were all so polite and accommodating. Only downfall is the new ownership changed to a new no pet policy.

The Hotel offers breakfast included in the rate. But at arrival they tell you that it does nor apply on Saturdays and Sundays (most touristy of days..) they say it is not their fault that Expedia has been informed and has not changed it. It was a turndown as our plan was to stay in during the mornings. Not a Good experience and management only said “sorry” but did not offer a solution at all.

Went to La Quinta for a quick one night stay, stumbled upon this hotel, and what a wonderful surprise it was! So charming and cute on a little lake. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We had the pleasure of staying in a bungalow room, and it was huge! We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which was absolutely delicious! Robert was our server he was so sweet and friendly and helpful, I absolutely adored him! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the La Quinta area!
