This property was terrible. Not only is there noise from all the trains that are nearby, but you can also smell the exhaust within the whole building. The bathrooms were also not cleaned very well. Also, we were forced to cancel our stay here the same day we arrived due to a strike from the local railroad and Machu Picchu workers. The hotel did not offer any partial or full refund for the incovenience. We had to rebook and leave immediately because no trains would be running possibly for several days and we would not be able to leave Aguas Calientes which is only accessible by train. No cars or taxis can access this region. REALLY TERRIBLE

Decent place but could use a little touch up and modernization. It’s located all the way at the southeast end of the lower tracks. The map on Hotels.com is a bit misleading. Staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Good place to stay if you are budget conscious.

It is very well located, where the train arrives. Close to where the buses to Machu Picchu leave, places to eat and the craft market. Room 108, which I was assigned, has a very nice view of the river and appears to be well presented. However, it has poor air quality, since the air does not circulate and there is a strong sense of humidity. I couldn't tell if it was from the wall (it was recently painted), or from the mattress. I couldn't sleep because of it.
