An old fashioned pub with a few rooms upstairs. Facilities old but adequate and the only problem was the very hot weather and only a small fan. Friendly staff. Just outside the Canary Wharf area and safe in daylight, probably also OK at night

There was a mess up when I got there as the room I booked was already booked for someone else. Lucky a double was free so Alex let me have that one. The room was ok but there were still people in the bar until 1.30 who were still talking. Also I had to close the window on a warm night because of noise from the houseing block at the back.

A little gem, steeped in history… the staff are amazing , friendly and welcoming … thanks to Alex and Saffy for looking after us… basic room but had what was needed… close to the train station, quick and easy travel into Euston. If you do visit , go and speak to jack who will tell you the history of the area and how’s it’s changed through the years.
