The location was great. Friendly service at the front desk. Several issues wrong with the room. The refrigerator in the room didn’t work, the toilet seat was not properly secured to the toilet and kept moving. Pinching hazard. The carpet was old, spotted and very disgusting. The shower was filthy and didn’t seem to be cleaned in a long time. Dirt stains on tiles including mold in the bottom tiles. There was never a mention of endless steep stairs up to our room!! When the issues were reported, there was nothing corrected. The price for our room was way over priced!! Low end Hotel!! Not fit for dog and we will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone!!

We enjoyed our stay. Good location. The front desk attendant was very helpful. Very quiet and dark for sleeping. Recently renovated room with modern but small bathroom. Two minute walk to Grand Canal and 5 minutes to St. Mark’s Square. However, the bed is very uncomfortable. Very hard. Also very steep stairs.

It’s a great hotel in the City. When we checked in we were greeted by a very nice man (Michael I believe) who gave us suggestions on where to eat, and visit. The room was clean and relaxing. There is a little sitting area on the roof which has a nice breeze. We enjoyed that we were right in an active area of Venice. There is a great little coffee shop to the right of the entrance door. The room we had was on the 5th floor, and there is no elevator, but great views of the city. We loved our time there and would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Lanterna di Marco Polo. It was initially a bit confusing as there was no check-in staff for our arrival around 6pm. However, we did receive an email with instructions to help us get access into the building. The staff member the next morning was very helpful & kind—thank you! Room bedding & decor is quite outdated, but the room was clean & the air conditioning was great. There are no elevators, so if I were staying here again I would request a room in a lower level especially if one is traveling with heavy luggage &/or has a hard time with stairs in general. It’s conveniently located within a 3-4 minute walk to water transportation. Everything is fairly walkable in Venice, and we found excellent restaurants & shopping within minutes of the hotel.

Très bon accueil bien que la réception ferme à 15h. Directions pour arriver à l’hotel tres clairs. Hôtel très bien placé à 2 minutes de Rialto et 5 minutes de St Marco dans un quartier animé. Côté négatif : faudrait faire quelque chose pour cette moquette dans l’escalier et la montée en général - ça donne très mauvaise impression ! Besoin d’une couette sur le lit puisque la couverture et trop mince en hiver. J’étais obligée de monter le chauffage le soir pour regarder tv etc. Avec une couette ce serait pas nécessaire - et vu le prix de l’energie actuellement.. Pas de rangements dans la salle de bains: un ou deux rayons suffiraient.

I booked a room last minute for one night. The location was very convenient. The front desk staff was lovely and very welcoming. The room had a historic look/feel but was comfortable, private and nice. The bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated - very nice. I would stay here again!

Fotos and description not matching the reality. Dirty and filthy. Carpet disgusting stains. Door to the room was marked as „Privat“?? Bathroom not in the room but on the floor - extremely small. No tables in the breakfast room. Coffee machine was marked with „out of order“. Reception was never occupied therefore a personal complaint was not possible. The most horrible experience with a Hotels.com booking! I expect a full refund. Remove this hotel from your website and app!

The rooms were good. The bed was not that comfortable but the air con was a nice reprieve when needed. Bathroom very good and location was great, espscially for Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Bascilica.

Hotel is a historic building so it was old but the room is updated. The wifi in the room was very weak, I think that's the only down side on this property. Other than that it is a great hotel.

Lovely host and traditional interior in the room. Everything you need is in the room and a comfy bed! Fantastic location close to Rialto Bridge and St Marco square. Note that the aircon doesn’t work until the start of May.

Great location, close to the Rialto bridge! Very friendly staff that so graciously made restaurant recommendations and reservations for us! The only downside was the beds were VERY firm, and caused us not to get much sleep during our stay.

Office is only open until 1:00 pm but I was sent several messages from Anna on how to get in the property which was straight forward and easy. Michael and Anna were extremely helpful throughout our stay and the hotel is on the Centre of Rialto which was walking distance to everything. The Rialto bridge is a 5 minute walk. Great location and super helpful staff.

Esta muy bien situada. Es un hotel tranquilo sin mucho ajetreo. No tiene casi servicios, excepto la habitación. Pero lo peor es que nos quisieron cobrar otra vez la tasa turística que ya habíamos pagado con la factura. Es decir, intentan timar al huésped, así que ojo con eso.

Lovely room, super clean, great air con, comfy bed, modern bathroom, coffee machine in reception and central location for a really reasonable price. Plus Michael was super friendly and recommended places to eat for us. Definitely staying here again if we ever return to Venezia.

Great location, close to the Rialto bridge! Very friendly staff that so graciously made restaurant recommendations and reservations for us! The only downside was the beds were VERY firm, and caused us not to get much sleep during our stay.

We enjoyed our stay. Good location. The front desk attendant was very helpful. Very quiet and dark for sleeping. Recently renovated room with modern but small bathroom. Two minute walk to Grand Canal and 5 minutes to St. Mark’s Square. However, the bed is very uncomfortable. Very hard. Also very steep stairs.

The rooms were good. The bed was not that comfortable but the air con was a nice reprieve when needed. Bathroom very good and location was great, espscially for Rialto Bridge and St Mark's Bascilica.

Lovely host and traditional interior in the room. Everything you need is in the room and a comfy bed! Fantastic location close to Rialto Bridge and St Marco square. Note that the aircon doesn’t work until the start of May.

We enjoyed our stay at Lanterna di Marco Polo. It was initially a bit confusing as there was no check-in staff for our arrival around 6pm. However, we did receive an email with instructions to help us get access into the building. The staff member the next morning was very helpful & kind—thank you! Room bedding & decor is quite outdated, but the room was clean & the air conditioning was great. There are no elevators, so if I were staying here again I would request a room in a lower level especially if one is traveling with heavy luggage &/or has a hard time with stairs in general. It’s conveniently located within a 3-4 minute walk to water transportation. Everything is fairly walkable in Venice, and we found excellent restaurants & shopping within minutes of the hotel.

Fotos and description not matching the reality. Dirty and filthy. Carpet disgusting stains. Door to the room was marked as „Privat“?? Bathroom not in the room but on the floor - extremely small. No tables in the breakfast room. Coffee machine was marked with „out of order“. Reception was never occupied therefore a personal complaint was not possible. The most horrible experience with a Hotels.com booking! I expect a full refund. Remove this hotel from your website and app!
