Check in, we had to wait 10 minutes for staff to arrive as no one was around and no bell to press. I asked for a quiet room away from the lift but was given 141 which was next to the galleried area and we could hear the reception phone going off at night time and people checking in at all hours as it was overlooking the reception area and the noise just echoed loudly. It was really disappointing that the pool was closed as we didn’t realise it was out of season in mid April even though the temperature can get quite hot there. It was our mistake as we hadn’t read about the pool being closed but we booked it especially thinking it had a pool. The room was lovely though very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice but extremely busy and the poor only staff member there had to constantly fill up and re stock items, she was working really hard. So much plastic was used at breakfast as plates, cutlery and cups all were disposable. Even disposable in the rooms too which is such a shame as plastic is so toxic to humans and the environment. Overall a pleasant stay but would choose a hotel with a pool that was open and request a better room next time. We had a fabulous time though and visited what we planned, Lake Powell, Horseshoe bend and Antelope canyon.
