Convenient location. Very clean and well appointed apartment. Excellent if, like us, you prefer self catering to staying in a hotel. Secure underground parking. We drove down from further north so somewhere safe to keep our car was essential. Also very easy to find whether travelling by car or public transport.

Check in was easy. Our flight arrived at 7am and we were able to lock our luggage away until our room was ready. We were party of 5 adults. Apartment was spacious and clean and modern. Only item we needed more of was toilet paper which we easily got asking at front desk. Staff were nice and helpful with any questions we had. Location great…easy walk to restaurants and 15-20 minute walk to the castle. We would stay here again.

Clean, and in a great location with a 15 - 20 minute stroll to main attractions. I used this as a base when taking part in the Edinburgh Half Marathon and the location was great for strolling to the start area. The apartment itself is very well furnished with everything expected from a self catering apartment for up to a week. Despite being central Edinburgh it is still relatively expensive and additional fees for parking or late checkout bump the overall cost even more. The apartment itself was baking hot due to what I think was underfloor heating in the corridor and there is no option within the apartment to change the thermostat setting. Additionally the small freezer section in my apartment was completely over-iced and the door could not close as the catch was broken. It needs defrosting and in this current state is totally unusable which wasn't a problem for a 2 night stay, but would be an issue if staying longer.

Having the kitchen and separate bathroom is convenient when staying for more than 2 nights. However, the kitchen counter in our room is damaged and the freezer door doesn’t close properly. Also no housekeeping unless you stay for 7 nights or more. Nice to have own washing machine even though it takes forever to do one load. It’s a bit far to the Princess Street and still need to walk to bus stations so, not convenient for people who have difficulty walking. We however, walked everywhere within the city without issues.

Overall the stay was a good standard. However, the shower leaked water which had damaged the base boards and kitchen floor. There was also a smell of damp in the shower.

This property is not suitable for families! The queen bed they provided is double bed attached and they keep split. The bathroom has molds and they do not have basic amenities like cleaning liquid , washing detergent.

The location of this property is great-it is close to bus lines and the train station (Haymarket). The property itself is not the newest or the cleanest but it works. You get a small apartment with plenty of room to move around.

Property is in need of refurbishment (linoleum peeling up in bathroom and missing large chunk of kitchen countertop). Lighting is very poor and not placed where you can see in a mirror. Mold in shower. Bed like concrete.

Nice and cozy flat with all the utilities we need. The location is excellent, and it takes only 15-20 mins walk to the city centre. We stayed for 2 weeks but there’s no house keeping service as arranged, not until we checked with the reception staff, but they are really nice and helpful. We appreciated their prompt actions.

I did not have hot water for my entire stay. The first night I did not have heat as well. I notified the staff the following morning. The heat was fixed, but the water was not. I was traveling with a toddler who I could not bathe because the water was ice cold. The room also did not look like the pictures. There was carpet that was dirty and ripped in the living area/kitchen. I also did not receive any additional amenities (shampoo, conditioner, water, etc) except dish soap and a sponge. The rest of the apartment was clean and the hotel was located near public transportation which was convenient.

I love the staycity branch. I did not like that they didnt have Air conditioning in Edinburgh. It gets hot in a crowded room and the fans did not help. The staff was helpful. They were all amazing. After staying in Dublin at a higher end Staycity, this was a bit of a let down. Dublin had breakfast, and a bar that closed at midnight. In Edinburgh you are on your own. This is not a wheelchair safe space. The shower for handicapped is outdated. If tou can't walk, tou can't shower. Overall I loved my room, but it was not a good fit for my family.

Well, there are no stoppers on the doors. Once you open the door it closes and it makes a very loud sound ,so if someone goes to use the restroom at night, the other people lose their sleep .I paid close to $500 for this room there were only two sets of towels. I had to go down to get more towels. I have stayed in stay city hotels in London Heidelberg. This stay was the worst.The staff was not obnoxious, but not friendly either. I made the reservation and my flight was canceled. I asked for the refund they refused to pay me citing some hotel policy. I have not seen anyone in any industry that swallows your money and do not provide the services. It’s like the surgeon charging you for gallbladder removal and does not remove the gallbladder. Something needs to be done about this horrible business practice the grand theft of these companies. people trying to accumulate money by stealing lying and cheating, and there is no control over this industry.

I love the staycity branch. I did not like that they didnt have Air conditioning in Edinburgh. It gets hot in a crowded room and the fans did not help. The staff was helpful. They were all amazing. After staying in Dublin at a higher end Staycity, this was a bit of a let down. Dublin had breakfast, and a bar that closed at midnight. In Edinburgh you are on your own. This is not a wheelchair safe space. The shower for handicapped is outdated. If tou can't walk, tou can't shower. Overall I loved my room, but it was not a good fit for my family.

I highly recommend this property especially for extended stays in Edinburgh. Great location close to all the sites, the tram line, Haymarket and Waverley Stations but a little bit off the main road if you want some quiet. Great neighborhood with lots dining choices. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. I will return

Our stay was truly wonderful. The staff were all quite friendly and helpful and the included amenities made us feel as if we were at home. Our unit had everything we could have wanted, from included wifi to luxurious bed linens, a clothes washer/dryer, a fully-stocked kitchen with dishwasher (even including dishwasher tablets and washing-up liquid), large soaking bathtub with a rainfall shower head plus a handheld nozzle, and blackout curtains that were very welcome for the long days of June in Scotland. They even had umbrella rentals in the main lobby. It was our first time in Scotland and the staff offered plenty of assistance and advice. We were in town for just a handful of days for the Eras Tour but, thanks to our central location, we were able to see just about all of the sites we wanted to. We were a short walk to the Haymarket tram stop, multiple grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, and shops. A leisurely 20-minute walk east brought us to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, and the same distance in the opposite direction brought us to Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium. I have already started planning our next trip to Edinburgh and we will definitely be staying here again. I honestly cannot recommend Staycity Aparthotels in the West End enough.

Suited our needs well. Good, quiet, safe location. Shower excellent- washing up liquid and dishwasher tabs provided. Enjoyed shower gel and hand wash. Easy to get around on foot or via bus and Haymarket station close by.

All exactly as anticipated. Very pricey due to it being the Edinburgh Festival but that is to be expected unfortunately. Overall it was well located and very spacious. It was great to have the kitchenette facilities which was handy for grabbing a quick breakfast before going out and viewing back to back shows and performances. It certainly ticked all our boxes!

This area is undergoing fast transition from industrial past to hip, gallery-, good cafe-, unique vegetarian restaurants area. 20 min walk to center and to great food and less touristy Bruntsfield area.
