Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort - All Inclusive

Nice rooms, especially in new hotel section. Nice options of all inclusive, great service. Reservation for dinning must be performed every two days and only at front desk (outdated and inconvenient process) Beach cannot be used to swim (Sargassum). Other hotels have better beaches. Internet access is for one device per person (additional daily charges apply if you want to have internet in a different device) eg a computer, this is ridiculous.

If you’re looking for clear water or nice beach, look elsewhere. Hotel is nice, good restaurants-Dolores Market was the most variety and the Hacienda Mexican and Koto Hibachi were great and room service was provided. This hotel Ventus Ha is across the street from the beach, and most of the events and restaurants but golf cart rides are provided upon request at valet stand. The hotel is very clean and cared for, but there are wild animals running around like raccoons and coati. The beds were soft and the water pressure was great, with nice bathrooms. The seaweed was a bummer but not hotels fault. The pools were relaxing at Ventus Ha, the rooftop pool (adults only) was awesome. The Main Marina pool was super fun and exciting with the games, volleyball and jumping rock and slides. The drinks were always delicious and delivered poolside. Overall a great choice for food and service, but would stay elsewhere for a nicer beach.

This property is actually one big complex of three resorts. The Ventus Ha is across the major resort road from the beach. The food was great at El Cid, and it's kid friendly. Drawbacks: spread out, no food at the pools, no food options at bars. Entertainment in the evenings was good and engaging for kids too, but seems like an afterthought since they just put chairs out in the grass. Also get your dinner reservations asap because there were not enough for all guests. Plenty of lobby and deck bars. The dinner buffet is good, but some of the other restaurants were outstanding. I will describe all three resorts here: Ventus Ha: on the lagoon side of the property. Includes: two large, quiet pools with zero entry, large hot tubs, no shade. One breakfast buffet, one full-service lunch, two full-service dinner, one rooftoop bar with pool. Ventus: large quiet pool with a zero entry area, two bridges, two waterfalls. Rooms with their own swim out pools facing the main pool area. Beach (more seaweed happening at Ventus than Marina, but they were working on it). Adult only pool with infinity edge facing beach, adult only hot tubs, deck, bars. Fitness center, spa. Kids club with fun activities. Pickleball center. Lunch food court that serves most of the 3 resorts'patrons 12-5. French restaurant. El Cid Marina: Dinner buffet. Main pool with resort entertainment & swim up bar, waterslide & jump. Rooftop bar. Watersports & dolphins available. Mexican and seafood restaurants.

We stayed at Ventus Ha from June 21-28 and it was incredible. The three resorts are easily walkable, even though there are many golf carts for you to catch a ride. It's about 90 seconds from Ventus Ha lobby to Ventus lobby, it feels like all three are one hotel so don't worry about that.

We stayed at Ventus HA for 9 days. Great resort with lots of restaurants, clean rooms and nice pools. Easy to get around three hotels with golf carts service that they provide. The only thing that wasn’t as nice is the beach but for the price and quality of the food I’d say it totally worth it.

Overall a great 6 night stay. The beach is an underwhelming part of the resorts but overall a fantastic stay.

Friendly staff, nice big property with a lot of pools, even rooftop adults only ones. A lot of bars and great drinks. You never go hungry. Food was great and a lot of variety. Our room was really nice and got cleaned everyday. Property grounds are kept clean and plants trimmed. Golf carts are available for transportation. Pool bathrooms are kept real clean and stocked up with toiletries.

The property and staff is amazing. ALL the restaurants serve great food and each has its own vibe. Delores was our favorite with all the different stations they have. The pools were all great and the big hot tubs felt great to relax in. The adults only bar was very enjoyable. Our child loved the kids club and the kids club staff kept us well informed of the activities for the day.

This property was real quiet. Nice pools. Good food. Feel free to explore other El Cid properties when you are there. Room Service 24/7 with real delicious food. Everything was good except the beach was full of seaweed and they are doing a lot to keep the beach clean.

We really enjoyed our stay- it was clean, air conditioned in many areas, the bars, food, and amenities were great! The property is split in two - Ventus Ha on one side and Marina El Cod/Ventus on the other- they have golf carts to take people around but we never used them, the whole property s very walkable. The beach area is small, not a huge place and only a few chairs . We enjoyed the pool more- lots of space! There’s a free bike tour to puerto morales we enjoyed - the bikes are not like mountain bikes, so bear this in mind - you need to maneuver the bikes a lot. Highly recommend this resort!

I have stayed at this hotel before. This time I tried their newest hotel. The room was not as clean as for my previous stay. Found hair on floor and sink. Floor had some duty spots as well. The whole outside had a foul smell Used their gym, the first day couldn’t use the treadmill because it was not working, called for some assistance but no one never showed up.

It’s was just okay, room was dirty upon check in.

Everything was just Amazing. the staff was outstanding and anything you needed they can do it. Very clean rooms and hotel staff are always cleaning something. A lot of restaurants options and delicious. I’ll be back next year for sure. 5 stars all the way.

The hotel was not very accommodating or empathetic when we had bed bug concerns (over 40 bites all over) and required us to go to the lobby multiple times to get it resolved. Once we were moved to a new room, the room did not appear to be cleaned very well (hair ties, rags found, dirty floors) and lights in the bathroom were not working. The maid also never came to clean the 2nd room we were in. We would not stay here again.

Rooms were always spotless. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had to switch rooms due to some loud neighbors but the hotel fixed the issue immediately. The food was inconsistent. One restaurant would be great (french) and the next would be just ok (italian). Lots of options for food. Best part of the resort is the amount of pools and space. You can always find a place to hang out and relax.

Everything was clean, and the staff was very kind and supportive. I had a suite, and it was huge and very spacious. My favorite spot was the rooftop pool. I will definitely recommend Ventus Haat to friends and clients.

We were in the newest building 32 but our washroom always smelled, we tried to keep the door closed but couldn’t tell if it was the sinks or not that smelt like sewage. Pools at Ventus ha are very quiet and lots of empty chairs. We were mostly at Marina pool with cliff jump so would stay on the marina side next time as it closer to activities we wanted. Also disappointed that through expedia they said we only get 2 Wi-Fi codes instead of the 3 we needed and didn’t want to pay over $100 usd for another. Great for a 10 and 13 year old. They had a blast

Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful resort, food at restaurants tastes amazing. Cons: No entertainment, no music, activities or food at the pools. You have to go to one of the restaurants or buffets even for a quick snack. The private pool access rooms at building 26 have mold & algae on outside walls by the pool area and room smelled moldy. The resort is in downtown Puerto Morelos, 30 min from Cancun. I wouldn't stay again, my stay was boring.

We upgraded and wanted ocean view at the Ventus property. We’re told not available. Stayed at the Ha. First arrival a/c didn’t work. Said they fixed. Didn’t. Hot first night. Moved rooms. A/C didn’t work. Fixed the second day. Didn’t. Froze. It stuck on. Aromatherapy wasn’t done early enough so we missed out a night. Special pillow wasn’t available. View was of construction workers building the unit across from us. Heard banging. Asked to be moved to ocean view. Didn’t need butler but wasn’t offered this option. Paid for it. Was reimbursed 1/2 of our upgrades but still didn’t need the vip. Moved to ocean view 4th day (downgrade) according to their pricing but wasn’t compensated the downgraded price. Was offered 2 30 minute massages then was going to take it away for giving us the view we wanted. I refused that. She said we could keep it. They were very reluctant to have us off the Ha property for some reason. Much happier at the Ventus side beach side. Still didn’t NEED the butler vip service. It was nice but we don’t drink top shelf. We didn’t use the complimentary snacks at the platinum rooms etc. once we were told our desired room wasn’t available we looked in their website and they were always available so we were betrayed and deceived. I would not stay again from our experience but others said they loved it. We are not high maintenance people. Just wanted a view and to relax. Not keep moving around from room to room. I am waiting on a better reimbursement from Expedia

The room smelled like mildew. It was an extremely confusing resort to get around. Poor signage and easy to get lost. The beach smelled like sulfur and the water was not blue. Terrible beach which broke my heart. Lovely pools and bars.

Normally I'm hard to please but this resort was very good. I always judge the cleanliness of these equitorial resorts by the balcony. It's my first stop when I get to the room. If the balcony is clean, we're off to a good start. Ventus Ha, the premium family room was spotless outside and in. Beds were amazing. Pillows were great. Staff was friendly. Amenities were very good. Whole resort was very clean. The food was hit and miss. Of all the meals, restaurants and buffets, our daily fave was lunch at Hacienda Aricife (I probably misspelled that but if you're there, you'll know what I mean). Surprisingly the golf carts were all around to take guests anywhere but they are gas powered, noisy and smelly. We could hear them driving all night outside passing our building. The 4 platinum clubs were hit and miss as well with broken coffee machines at 2 and empty/not restocked international drinks for cocktails. Ours ran out of Bailey's on our second day and never had khalua. Another one had a sea of khalua and yet another was stocked with Bailey's all the time. If I wanted a B52, it would be like a poker boat-run. Food in the platinum lounges was also not frequently stocked and very limited in quantity and selection. Presentation was always nice though. Be pool people to enjoy this resort. The pools are all unique in character and clean but the beach was awful. Lastly, there was some construction on the roof (6th floor) superloud in our 3rd floor room ALL WEEK and limiting the Ruf bar

The food was great at Kobo and Aakat. The pools always have good spots to have some rest. Rooms are huge and well clean.

This resort is absolutely lovely, from the accommodations to the staff. The rooms are clean, modern, and fully stocked. The staff were ALL kind, attentive, and welcoming. We could not believe how wonderful every single person was to us. The food was delicious at each of the five restaurants we visited. Room service was a very nice touch. We went as a couple celebrating our anniversary but plan to return with our children.

The Ventus Ha by far has the prettiest lobby. Our room was clean, large and very comfortable. The food options and restaurants are very good. The beach is not the greatest but there are plenty of pools to choose from.

It can be a bit challenging to get dinner reservations for the time you want. Overall, this is a five star property, depending on your accommodation. The food is amazing. The staff is very accommodating.

I wouldn't recommend this place, especially for families with kids. First off, the staff had zero energy and weren't helpful at all. We had to use their shuttle to get anywhere, and we'd be waiting forever. Even when we smiled and said hello, they wouldn't really care, they'd just come up with, "What do you want?" And it was an all-inclusive resort, but besides the tips, we were still charged these weird, random taxes on top of everything. The food wasn't good, and some of the fruit even smelled off. The worst part was our room was full of bugs and mosquitoes. I'm pretty sure it's because when the housekeeping cleaned, they just left the door wide open to the outside.

Very nice stay, except for the fact that you have to pay for wifi and the not-so-professional receptionist. We booked a room for 4, and they gave us only 2 codes for wifi. We had to pay $30 USD each for a 3-day wifi access code. The receptionist was not professional either; she didn’t tell us anything about the dining options or activities on our first day there. We had to come to the lobby ourselves the next morning to ask for the details. Overall the place itself was wonderful with many restaurants, pools, and activities (e.g., bike tours, kayaking, and shows). If you missed the dining hours, you can always order room service. They have a variety of food for you to choose from, and it would take around 45 minutes to prepare. You can also book tours like Xcaret ($210 USD) and Xichen ($170 USD) with the hotel staff (meals and transportation are included). The tour persons were friendly and helpful and we had a great time with both tours.

Staff was very dismissive at check in when I had questions about my reservations. I traveled with 15 people and had 8 rooms booked. The carts that transport between resorts are slow, and operator attempted to put other guests ahead of us multiple times. Hard getting servers to understand our wants at restaurants. Food was good. Rooms are nice size with comfortable beds. Queen size Murphy bed in every room. Carlos and crew at the Rooftop bar was very good and accommodating. Best vibe on the resort. All in all for the price, I would definitely stay again. I just know what to expect.

Despite being asked about allergens, every time you walk into a restaurant by both the hostess and your server, I was served allergens at plated dinners on three of the seven nights I was at this resort. The food service manager did not take this problem seriously and it had to be elevated to the manager of platinum butler services. Getting dinner reservations in the first place, even in low season and with a Platinum club upgrade, was a tremendous hassle. We couldn't get into certain restaurants at all, and were offered dining times of 4:30, 5:00, and 9:30 at night. Every meal reservation was made in the name of one of the five clients I had brought on this trip, despite the fact that I paid for everything and communicated with my butler to make these reservations and the male client was never involved in any way. The grounds were immaculately maintained, the staff were kind, but these basic operational problems were shocking.

Rooms were not clean at all, the food was below average, the service was ok but expected a tip every-time they helped you. The drinks were terrible, unless you like bar mix. There is always someone trying to sell you something. The most painful part was the “not a time share” presentation. If you want to go on an excursion you are better off paying the non-discounted cost and save yourself 2.5 hours listening to someone with a bad attitude trying to sell you something which very much looks and talks like a time share.

Whilst we had a challenge during our check in due to what appears to be a miscommunication between Expedia and VENTUS Ha, we had a great time during our stay. The staff were friendly and the property was well kept. The staff do their best to get everyone entertained and for us the Italian restaurant was won the restaurant best restaurant out of the 9 competitive restaurants. Overall, our 4 hours of stressful checking time was worth it even though we felt our welfare wasn’t considered as a priority. I wouldn’t factor this in my review because I think is not fair on the hotel. However, I would recommend they prioritise the welfare of their clients over money.

Staff keep Ventus Ha, Ventus and El Cid impeccable. The grounds are kept in great shape, pool is always staffed and provide helpful safety instructions. Our family really enjoyed the cliff jumping and the many pools. We had a great time watching all the wildlife, enjoying delicious food and incredible service from the many waiters, David and Gregorio stand out in our minds but there were many other attentive servers.

My stay at Ventus Ha Hotel was overshadowed by the extremely poor room service. The food took nearly three hours to arrive and, when it finally did, it was cold and unappetizing. On several occasions, room service never showed up at all. The menu had very limited options, which made it difficult to find anything appealing. Additionally, the on-site dining areas were constantly overcrowded, with long lines and extended wait times. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected much better service and efficiency. Sadly, the dining experience left a lot to be desired.

All of their propertiea are next to each other or across the street, which made it very convenient to visit each resort and enjoy all the restaurants, bars, and pools. The port is so close, a 5-10 minute walk, which made it easy to book a catamaran ride with snorkeling and interact with dolphins on the port.

It’s was ok for an all inclusive. They say on the beach but it’s a big property. You have to either walk or get a ride on a golf cart. I also didn’t realize how far I was from everything.

Lots of pool locations to choose from. Big bonus was at one of the pools has a 'mountain' that the kids (7 & 10) could JUMP off of into a 12ft pool - the jump was about 10ft high! And a slide that was pretty fast! Lifeguards were supervising. Pool activities were fun to watch. Drinks were great! Room service is INCLUDED! (and super good too!) They did a wonderful 4th of July celebration - a huge spread of BBQ foods and activities! Couple of things we wish we knew before booking: the Ventus Ha is across the street from the main dining options - buffets and most sit down restaurants. The walk was about 5-10 minutes from our room to get to anywhere. No clear explanation of the dining locations at check in. Took us an afternoon of exploring to figure out where all the dining options were. Just need to plan accordingly or you will do more walking than necessary! (You definitely get your steps in no matter what!) You only get 2 devices on their WiFi for free - anymore than that, you pay $60 a device for the week to get on their WiFi. We didn't know that when booking and we were a family of 5. Ended up using our cellphone international plan for the others. And you couldn't hotspot to the other devices and couldn't screencast to the TV or to other devices.

The new ventus ha is a beautiful resort. It’s on the jungle side but walkable to the beach on the other side. The other hotels are a bit dated but still kept very clean. The staff is amazing! Overall great experience. I went solo, as an almost 40yesr old women there wasn’t very many people in my age range…so if your looking for more activities and night life this is not the hotel.

Great quiet retreat close to Cancun.

Love the relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of Cancun. Beautiful jungle property. Good food. The room was nice, but very humid so it was musty and bothered my sinuses. Cleaning room and turn downs were spotty. Naha rooftop pool and bar were awesome. Main pool at Ventus Ha was excellent. Don’t go here if you want constant entertainment and partying. It’s a chill resort.

This facility does not take food allergies seriously! I wish served allergens at three consecutive dinners, despite the fact that every hostess and every server asks you about allergies at each and every meal.

Pros: Great variety in dining options. Koba Japanese restaurant is the best! Very safe and secure. Clean modern amenities. Excellent value. Access to the other attached El Cid properties and all-inclusive amenities. Nightly entertainment. Good complimentary WiFi access across the properties for business travellers. Amazing staff!!! Cons: Beach access is about a 5-minute walk from Ventus Ha through either the El Cid Marina or El Cid Ventus properties. Wifi is limited to 2 devices. Overall, we were impressed and will definitely come again!

Nice hotel but very unfortunate that we were not able to do dinner reservations anywhere we wanted to because they were all booked (the 4nights we stayed) we were stuck doing buffet and room service only.

The staff will give you golf cart ride the 1st day if you are a regular member, no one tells u that u need to sign up for dinner reservations. I went a few days without dinner. No one tells you that you can get free transportation to your hotel or youll emd up paying over $100 usd for a taxi.
