Holiday Inn Express & Suites Killeen - Fort Hood Area

Overall this is a great place to stay. We have family in the area and visit often, so we have stayed here several times. Room is nice enough and breakfast is pretty good. My only "knock" is the upkeep and maintenance that seems to be lacking. Over the last 9 weeks we have stayed 3 times. Ice machines have been out of commission every time. Hallway where elevators are is in disrepair and has been for all the past three visits. And outside is just sad. Landscaping has almost all died and flower beds are weed filled and unkept. Not very welcoming. Staff is always very pleasant and helpful. Just wish maintenance would keep pace

Parking was available and easy to access.

Definitely would NOT stay here again. Property is not kept up well. Views are of storage building and low budget hotel. Not an ideal area. Hotel has no wow factors to it. Had smell, front automatic doors would not open or close automatically so they stay open for the most part. Trash throughout lobby and areas. Broken shower rods, ceilings repairs very visible and eyesore. Linen stained. Caution tape on doors, wallpaper peeling, borders/trim coming off the wall. I was so ready to go, definitely considered booking another hotel and just letting this one keep my money. Low budget Holiday Inn Express. Close to stores, food places and right off the interstate.

The pool was cold but the kidos loved it

Property needs outside repair, painting etc. the bathroom has no water pressure in the shower. The light in bathroom for mirror was broken. Staff was awesome!!

located close to freeway, shopping and restaurants. For some reason my bathroom fan was not working which made the room dank and humid. The pool needed to have some sort of shade, the hot Texas days are brutal.

Property was very nice. The only issue I had was I first went to the wrong one but was told it was a common thing cause they are a block from each other. The front desk staff was amazing and very friendly. I will be staying here again when I go back

The overwhelming stench of the air conditioner was almost unbearable. The room was moist with humidity, making the bed almost feel wet. The air conditioner smelled like dirty socks, and mud. We both experienced sickness in our respiratory. The room was in shambles tile, coming off the walls and toilet paper holders, falling off the wall, the shower had Barely any water pressure? I asked for a fan for the room, but there wasn’t any to give out. The breakfast was mediocre. The pool was dirty and full of people all the time. Overall, the stay was very bad. I didn’t take any pictures, but we stayed in room 206

Everything was good, pool, room, bed was amazingly comfortable and slept great. Boyfriend did not even snor!!! Pool was clean and relaxing. Kiss the morning chef, the breakfast was full of flavor, delish and filling plus all the variety of options. Will definitely stay there next time we are in Killeen.

Over the last several months we have noticed the beginning of several repair/repainting projects near the main lobby that never seem to be completed-just patches and missing floor boards waiting to be replaced. The ice machines have not worked in months. Breakfast was a little "off" this time. Sliced bread and bagels were offered, but there is no toaster available. Pancake machine was out of order. No fresh fruit options. And no bottled water. Folks are very nice, but maintenance seems to not be too important at this location.

My first room#226 I was in it looks like it was under construction and not cleaned up. There was plaster all over the walls and ceiling, looked like the work wasn’t complete. Went to front desk and asked for another room she tried to give me a room next door, I asked to be moved to the third floor, so that room was no better. I was wiping things down like I normally do and when I went to wipe down the toilet as molded

The first room that we received had mold along the window. It wasn’t a little mold it was a lot. The second room we received, the bathroom door was extremely rusted and the main door seemed as if it would not lock, extremely easy to push the door with No key.

Clean and perfect for a quick trip.

Run down and smelled of marijuana and noisy walls too thin can hear talking in the next room

Rm 124 toilet paper holder is half off the wall. Kids running and jumping on the room above us. Those are the two negative. Everything else was positive

The sink stopper broke and the plunger arms was lying under the sink. The mirrored light did not work.

Holiday Inn Suites on Gateway Drive, Killeen. Checked in no problem..Room 216. Tv would not work- no signal and tv said check antenna connection. Checked tv and cable antenna from tv to wall plug was missing. Hotel front desk mgr brought a cord up to me which I connected and got reception..Tried to call front desk &Phone was unplugged from wall plug to phone. Room was above main entrance and old curtain in middle to block view from below. Great location near restaurants, HEB, WalMart and freeway. Quiet area. Would stay there again,but not in that room. The lady at the front desk was very courteous and helpful, and resolved my issue. Breakfast was good and hot. Location was 5 minutes from my meeting.

Our stay was better than expected. We booked a suit room. However upon check in, we were informed that they did not have a suit available, and offered us two double-queen rooms instead for the same price we paid. Which we were fine with it, since it had enough bed for our family of five. The front desk lady that checked us in was very professional, courteous, and very accommodating. This was our first time staying at Holiday Inn and will give them another visit next time we’re in Killeen to visit our military child.

The front desk receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. Has no business serving the public. Worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. And I do travel a lot.

Worse check in experience. Made a reservation on 10/19 for my wife and my 6 month year old son. Contacted the property right after making the reservation to let them know the name of my wife and to let them know that she would be checking in after 1am do to the arrival time and a the receptionist “lady” said that was fine that she would add a note to the system. My wife arrive at hotel around 2am with my 6 month old son, tired after driving several hours of o rest at this holiday inn and the most unprofessional person on this earth did not allow her to check in and stated that she was marked as a no show!!!! How in the world can you say it’s a no show when I specifically spoke to your receptionist not even 10 minutes after making the reservation!??? Reservation was fully paid for in advance. I do not wish for anyone to go through this experience. This employee does not deserve to be providing such an experience like this to anyone!! Of course I screamed at this individual over the phone after not allowing my wife to check in and she had no option other than to drive 3 more hours to her destination…. I have been an Expedia member for many years and this has been the very first time I experience this at a holiday inn! !! This is not fair… I even asked to speak to a manager to find a resolution and he neglected to transfer me and pretty luck told my wife to f*** offf!!!

The morning staff on Friday was helpful. She rectified the problem with professionalism and understanding. She moved us to another floor and room. I give her five(5) stars!

Very nice Hotel. Would stay there again Highly recommended Breakfast was great.

Room had a very stale smell, shower soap pump was broken, very limited breakfast selection.

Great location check-in was very fast room was clean housekeeping did a excellent job , continental breakfast was delicious had a little bit of everything the gal working kept everything full didn’t run out as hotels I’ve stayed in the past that has happened . Will definitely stay again when in Killeen 😉

Property is maintained. Front desk person(Shannon) was very helpful and pleasant. Please offer your patrons an Herbal Tea selection, as well as Herbal/Decaffeinated Tea. The dining room had a sign for pancakes, but I saw only pkgs of syrup. The dining/kitchen attendant was very hospitable.
