Great location, rooms are compact but ok. The hotel sought to cancel my booking on the day of arrival unless I provided an alternative card for payment. The hotel also essentially becomes a nightclub on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Overall ok but doesn’t justify the cost.

Very small room but did the job for a one night stay. We could hear the rooftop during the day while we were at the hotel, was definitely loud. We just weren't at the hotel until late so it wasn't a problem for us, but had we been at the hotel earlier it might've been. Rooftop access wasn't available when we went (private event) so that was a bummer. We had a corner room so we couldn't hear neighbors. No privacy with the bathroom, beware if you're a new couple or relatively private. Sink, toilet and shower are all separate and the shower and toilet are just frosted doors so you can practically see through. Just a few things to note if you plan to stay here.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights, and it was a perfect location with access to great restaurants and transit. The rooms are quite small, but very functional. Storage space under the bed can be utilized for suitcases and hooks on the wall for coats and clothing was a nice touch, too. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and quiet. The only issue we encountered was there was only one elevator working for two of the three days, which meant longer waits and a very cramped space inside the elevator. It would have been appreciated if management addressed this issue sooner, or the very least posted a sign indicating that they were aware of the issue and taking action.

The hotel is located in the heart of Brooklyn. The parking that the hotel suggested was really far. We noticed there were a couple garages closer. There was only one working elevator, which was shared by guests and staff who had carts and cleaning supplies.

The hotel itself was lovely, clean, good sized room, good amenities. My reason for a poor review is that they have very loud music playing from 14:00-04:00 Friday and Saturday and 14:00-00:00 Sunday. We had to check out and move hotels. They handled it well, but we wouldnt have booked there had we known

We were so excited to stay in Brooklyn for the first time, but the Moxy left much to be desired. Check in was fine, and the room was comfortable, but we had a hard time sleeping. Our room was located on the 10th floor near a storage closet and we were met with not only the sounds from the rooftop club, but near constant slamming of doors which left us unable to relax even with a sound machine. We tried to use the rooftop twice and were denied entry due to two different private parties, so do not expect to be able to use this amenity. We ordered drinks at the bar, which were great, but then we were charged an extra $45 which we were only notified about on the summary sent to us after the stay. We have tried 2 times to call the hotel and get this reversed, but they keep forwarding our call to the bar where no one picks up. We loved the location and the view from our room, but for the price I would definitely stay somewhere else next time.

Really liked the vibe of this place. Great view of the city, a few bar options within the hotel. Hip and modern place overall in a great location. But when staying on the 10th floor, there is a nightclub above you. That was very loud until very late at night.

Paid 900$+ for the night/single bed room. The room was a size of a walk in closet. With min to no furniture in. Poorly cleaned. Asked for a clean wine glass(empty) in the bar downstairs around 8 pm was told that “none were available at the time”. Poor sound isolation of the rooms. Bathrooms in common areas had no soap in none of the dispensers since early morning to late afternoon

Good: Convenience of bar/restaurant at hotel lobby, somewhat near subway line (need to take bus or walk 10-15 mins), a lot of food options if walk down Broadway. Needs improvement: Cleanliness (pillows and towels had stains), need better sound proofing (heard very intimate couple next door), destination fees should be optional. Also, I get that breakfast bar can be busy in the morning but we had to wait 10 minutes before servers even acknowledged ylus and took our order, and the macchiato I ordered was only half full- definitely did not make my morning....

Excellent service from all staff. Comfortable beds, very clean room. Facility is modern and location is great. Close to everything including train lines. The only downside of this hotel is the size of the room. We stayed in a king room which had no desk and not much area to hang or store clothes. Space is limited in NYC, so this is probably the norm.

The room was really small. I would say the minimalist design like in Japan. My only issues was that there was hairs left in the shower and on the floor from a previous guest. This issues was taken up with the hotel manager. He removed the destination fee for both days.

Location was excellent. Easy to walk to subway, restaurants, etc. The room was very small but clean and the bed was very comfortable. I liked having a restaurant and bar onsite. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Lovely hotel with really nice room, superb cleanliness, a wonderful location and easy access to a few different subway stops for travelling around New York. If you’re looking to break away from typical Manhattan-based break, this is the ideal spot for a much more relaxed feel. Williamsburg is a fantastic spot with good bars, restaurants, shops and a completely different feel to the Times Square madness. Hotel staff are helpful, the bar is nice, place is very well looked after, and it’s well worth making use of the free tickets to Liberty cruise and Brooklyn Museum and $15 per day credit - helps you feel the end-of-stay tax isn’t too painful. Worth noting rooftop bar is only open two nights per week so you won’t be hanging out there much to enjoy the view.

The staff was so friendly and the overall cleanliness and vibe of the hotel was great. They were so helpful with little things I needed to make our stay easier as we were celebrating my sisters birthday. We enjoyed the location, close to a lot of restaurants and bars. About 8 min walk to the JMZ train and 15 min walk to the L. Fairly easy street parking around the hotel too. They offer free ferry or museum tickets each day of your stay too which I felt to be a nice touch. We enjoyed the lobby bar and had hoped to enjoy the rooftop bar but it was much too loud/club like when we went up there. Rooms were pretty small but that’s expected in NYC. Overall enjoyed our stay and would come back!

The hotel is well-located, clean, and the service is great. The reason for the 3-star rating is the uncomfortable bathroom. The shower stall and toilet area have no privacy due to the glass enclosure. Additionally, you have to step out of the shower into the main room to dry off and get dressed. Just not a well thought out design.

Loved the location. BEWARE the rooms are not Traditional. No real closet space. Bathroom concept too modern for my liking. (Opaque doors to shower and water closet. Sink in main area of room. Lots of Hooks to put things on but I\'m not into the "messy" look. Staff needs to give out better information as to what\'s available on site and explain the destination charges and where to use them.

Good location in Williamsburg. Clean rooms. Nice staff. Unfortunately, you can barely move around in the room it was SO SMALL with no room for our luggage. The transparent shower and bathroom doors were the worst part though. I’m confused, are you not supposed to travel with anyone else but your partner when you stay here? Why is there no privacy?

They were so helpful with little things I needed to make our stay easier as we were celebrating my sisters birthday. We enjoyed the location, close to a lot of restaurants and bars. About 8 min walk to the JMZ train and 15 min walk to the L. Fairly easy street parking around the hotel too. They offer free ferry or museum tickets each day of your stay too which I felt to be a nice touch. We were so excited to stay in Brooklyn for the first time, but the Moxy left much to be desired. Check in was fine, and the room was comfortable, but we had a hard time sleeping. Our room was located on the 10th floor near a storage closet and we were met with not only the sounds from the rooftop club, but near constant slamming of doors which left us unable to relax even with a sound machine. We tried to use the rooftop twice and were denied entry due to two different private parties, so do not expect to be able to use this amenity. We ordered drinks at the bar, which were great, but then we were charged an extra $45 which we were only notified about on the summary sent to us after the stay. We have tried 2 times to call the hotel and get this reversed, but they keep forwarding our call to the bar where no one picks up. We loved the location and the view from our room, but for the price I would definitely stay somewhere else next time.

This is my second stay at Moxy Brooklyn. The location is perfect for my needs, I can walk everywhere I have to go. The rooms are simple, well decorated and very clean, without the unnecessary amenities clutter. I appreciated the constant free coffee on offer at Bar Bedford as well as the excellent workspace. The rooftop bar is great. I will stay at Moxy Brooklyn again.

I wanted to show him the rooftop bar that my friend and I had enjoyed in February. Every time we tried to go to the rooftop and we scanned our key in the elevator, we couldn't get there. Cozy hotel in a wonderful location, surrounded by bars, restaurants, and nice shops in the heart of Williamsburg and 5 minutes away from the Domino Park, where you can have a magnificent view of the skyline of Manhattan. The facility is new, and the rooms are very well organized, with the shower separated from the WC. The only downside: the rooftop bar only opens at weekends... a real shame!

I was just staying one night at Moxy, the people on reception were a little cold. There’s no room service, no fridge in the room, no mini bar etc. Just warm bottles of water that were $5 each. I booked because of their rooftop- despite it being summer, it’s only open on the weekends. Rooms are small and the shower and toilet door open into the bedroom w the sink on the bedroom wall. Would be cramped with 2 people. The neighbourhood is nice though and you can walk to domino park- this was the best part! They did however give me a free one hour extended late check out till 1pm. I’d however expect the fore mentioned amenities for £220 on a weeknight.

I would definitely stay here again. You get a $25 credit per night to use towards food/drinks and the calamari is AMAZING. I was there for my birthday and they gave me a free drink and shot. They also give you a $30 credit for laundry. The rooftop party next door was so much fun and overall a wonderful experience.

It’s New York, so the hotel rooms are not huge - but my kids enjoyed the novelty of the bunk beds. Highlight though was the staff - they were great, and very friendly and accommodating - had an amazing surprise set up for my daughter who was celebrating her birthday. Would definitely stay here again if we’re travelling as a family.

Staff was excellent taking care of us while we unfortunately had to wait for check in but they did everything they could do to make it right and then some.
