The gym there wasnt enough to get a proper lift, but they have some partnership with a gnarly underground gym a few blocks away and gave me day passes every day, which was rad. Had a great time.

This hotel is super cool and definitely a party hotel. I travelled with my business team and we chose this for the fun atmosphere. I was only disappointed that the rooftop bar was closed out for private events on two of the nights we stayed there. The rooftop bar was a huge factor in choice of why we stayed there so we were all frustrated about that. Good food and fantastic drinks. Just know that the Moxy policy is to charge a $30 a day fee in which you can use on food in the lounge or cafe only. It does not add up in bulk and has to be used per day. I can see how this would be frustrating to a lot of guests if they do not know in advance. Be nice to the staff, and they will be nice to you!

Everything about the stay was Amazing! The vibe! The people! The energy! All of the staff were just great and always made us feel welcomed. Door man Alex made a HUGE impression on my group he was our Out of Town Uncle with nothing but love and care at what he does! If you need anything you let him know, he will point you in the right direction! The Bartenders and Front desk were amazing as well! The area is perfect with enough food choices and bars etc. Subway stations are 1-2 blocks walking distance. The rooftop at this hotel is BEAUTIFUL! We got to catch 2 sunsets and all I can say is WOW!

The hotel is really good. We stayed over New Year and it’s far enough out to be good value for money but close enough via the subway to be well connected to the key parts of Manhattan. Room cleaning was missed one day during our stay but that’s the only negative I can record. Staff were very helpful. Drinks and food we had were good. 3 minute walk to Grand St station. Caution around the area at night as there are some pockets of homeless people that can be intimidating to walk through but we kept to the main streets and generally had no issues.

It was dirty. We requested housekeeping, we didn’t know it needed to be requested, they change towels and made the bed… did clean the floor at all.. we called front desk , they did have housekeeping at the time… never came back.. 5 days no cleaning .

We (my adult son, adult daughter, and I) loved the Moxy. The security of using the room key to access the elevators to our floor made us feel very safe. The staff and doormen were friendly and answered the questions we had. We had a quick bite to eat in the lower level dining room, and the food and service were great. My only complaint was the lack of our room being cleaned in a timely manner. We arrived on a Thurs. afternoon, we were out of the room from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Fri. to return to our room without the beds being made and no fresh towels. When we asked the front desk to have our room cleaned, we were told someone would be coming up; after 45 mins., I searched the hall and was to grab a cleaning person to get clean towels as we had a time commitment for an evening wedding. No one cleaned the room after that, and the used towels were now piling up. We did receive maid service on Saturday. This is my only complaint.

Bed was comfortable, shower had great water pressure, and the room was relatively spacious for a NYC hotel room. The location was also great in terms of having several nearby subway stations, which made getting around the city super easy. Special shout-out to Alex, the door man, who greeted as every day as we left and returned to the hotel. My only complaint, which is not really the fault of the hotel, is that my room was on the second floor on the side of the building where there was a night club next door. This made it very difficult to sleep as the club played loud music until about 3:30-4am. This hotel is great for all the reasons I stated above, but light sleepers beware!

For the most part this was such a great place to stay. The front desk staff was impeccable and so helpful. The room was unique and had despite being small made the space work great. My only complaint was that the ice machine was absolutely filthy and there was visible black mold growing on the dispenser. Huge health issue.

Our room’s air conditioning didn’t work and it was 80 degrees. Brought a fan and was supposed to have engineering check it. Not luck. Had to go back to the desk a third time. Finally changed our room. Other than that, it was a nice hotel. Fun atmosphere.

Really cool property with great staff. The jazz bar and rooftop bar are nice too. Didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant, but it looked great. There’s a destination fee that you get back in credits that you can use for coffee and snacks at the breakfast bar. Can be a little noisy on the weekend, especially if you stay on a higher floor because of the rooftop bar, which plays music until 4 a.m. We were on the 13th and could hear the subtle hum of the bass. We had a corner city view room which had a king bed but was otherwise a little small. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the room so it worked for us. the view was great. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Grand St. station which made catching the D train to midtown or Brooklyn very easy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

The hotel was conveniently located close to SoHo. The room was small but good for a weekend stay and the bed was comfortable. Be advised though, that there is a lounge on the top floor from which you can hear throbbing music until about 3:00 am. Also there is a 30 "Destination Fee” charged for every night of your stay.

The Moxy was a cool property to stay in. Very sexy bars and sitting areas. It has a club and rooftop and basement bars so we didn’t have to go far for a good time. The room service is a bit different. They don’t bring extra towels and things to your room. They actually have a closet that they store things in for you to get yourself. Sometimes they run out tho. And I’m assuming it’s a New York thing but the room was Tiny! I thought upgrading to the corner room would help but it didn’t. My boyfriend is 6’7 and I’m 5’6 so we had a hard time moving around the room that had no storage or closets to store suitcases. If you aren’t very comfortable with your mate you will be after this stay lol…the toilet and shower are kind of connected in the corner so you can hear everything when you’re in the room. The sink is right by the bed so not much privacy to do makeup or do a little wash up. Other then that the place was cool.

I booked a standard room and was surprised at how small and poorly designed it was. When I entered the room, I practically bumped into the sink, which is in the hallway. The floor plan was so tight that there was no space where I could open my luggage. I ended up storing it right in front of the door, which probably was not safe in case of an emergency. The room left me no other options. There was also a loud nightclub that woke me up. Otherwise, it is a nice hotel.

We loved our stay! Pros: - Every staff member was amazing and helpful. Special shout out to Alex, the door man who extended his graces every time we left or came back to the hotel. - Close proximity to subways/food, Chinatown, SoHo, Noho, Little Italy. - Cafe on site Cons: - our room was very tiny. After walking around the city, there was no way to enter the room and take your shoes off without being in front of the sink in the room. Very hard for 2 people and luggage despite the luggage rack. While in the room, you had to sit on the bed - all the time. - I am from a big city so I know big city trouble. Depending on which way you went exiting the hotel, you were met with 2 different worlds. One side (Chrystie st) is a well used park but there are a lot of individuals under the influence. The gentleman don’t bother you but it did impact what we did in the evening. The smell and trash was +++. If you went the other way, it was trendy, lots of shops and places to eat. - ask for a mini fridge. I only knew that this was an option on the last evening. I just figured there was no fridge in the room and didn’t want to complain. I would go back (but with a bigger room and fridge.)

The Moxy is a cool & hip hotel, but the room sizes are a complete joke. It is the result of corporate greed and squeezing every last penny out of a square footage. The bathrooms were ridiculous & connected by sliding doors, the sink was in the main entryway. It was an uncomfortable stay for my family & I. If I knew that the rooms were similar to Aloft, I would never had booked this room.

It was a nice property on the border of a sketchy area, but close to little Italy. The room was just micro mini and the shower was like part of the room and not separate so that was kind of bizarre. There was little privacy.

Chic little hotel w/ a tremendous amount of nightlife every evening - if that is your thing. Unfortunately, our room was the smallest room we’ve ever experienced in NYC. Most rooms are small, but we had to take turns moving about the room in the mornings to get ready. As I lay in bed typing this, I am 100% sure the king size bed is shorter than a standard bed.

The staff here at Moxy are just exceptional! I stayed here in November, and I’m writing a review now in March because I just haven’t forgotten what an exceptional stay it was. There is also so much beautiful entertainment around. There’s a highlight room just to walk away, and a jazz room attached to the hotel. I absolutely loved the bar in the lobby. The bartenders are the sweetest, and the DJ… She is exceptional and has such cultured/phenomenal music taste! I can’t wait to go back. I absolutely loved my stay here, and the staff went above and beyond. I forgot to mention that the hotel itself is absolutely stunning. My room was beautiful… Just absolutely spotless and we had a nice view of the city.

Overall my experience at the Moxy was ok. Pros: Front desk staff was friendly, easily accessible to eateries and prime shopping. Doormen were extremely helpful. Cons: Rooms incredibly small, I noticed our room wasn’t cleaned as well as it should have been (dirty base boards with food splatter). My biggest turn off happened when me and friend were sitting downstairs in the business center at night. The two original bar tenders were supper nice and was more than happy to make me some tea since it was super cold outside and I was feeling under the weather. Fast forward about an hour I went back to the bar to buy more tea and it was a new male bartender. He acted like he did not want to service me and even once he acknowledged me he was rude and lied and said the tea machine is down. Tea is hot water and a tea bag. When my friend questioned his response he then changed his response to there’s no more tea tonight. Keep in mind I picked from a whole container of tea an hour before. Completely turned me off from ever staying here again.

We found the billing system to be very confusing with the daily rates and taxes, to be taken daily from the saved credit card, very hard to keep track and unclear what was to be paid on checkout. We had to get a manager to help us settle the bill. Food in the bar was very poor

They charge a huge resort fee but tell you that there is 30 dollars a day included to spend in the bar. This way they oblige you to spend your money in their establishment.I felt ripped off spoke to other clients and they told me they felt the same way! Service is not very good either, lots of talking in between bar staff and no eye for the customer. Overall I would not recommend for the amount they charge. Location is great

The hotel itself is great! The staff is very friendly. The room is small but efficient. It is pretty close to a subway if that is your choice of transportation. It does take some time to get to places like Time Square and Rockefeller Center etc. We like China Town and enjoy the restaurants and feel of that part of town. However, homelessness and mental illness is definitely more prevalent than in the areas we’ve stayed at before. Of course, the hotel has no control over that. I would recommend this hotel overall.

The Moxy Lower East Side was a great place to stay in Manhattan. Love that it was walking distance to Little Italy with lots of dining choices! It is also a couple blocks from a subway station. We had no trouble getting around. It’s far enough away from the hustle & bustle of midtown & Time Square, yet close enough that you don’t feel “out of the city”. The design of the hotel was hip and tasteful, great vibes and mood. Only down side was the room was small with very little table/counter space and no closet. That said, the beds were extremely comfortable! I slept very well. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location for exploring China Town, Little Italy and the Villages. Not on a particularly appealing street but felt safe. Would definitely recommend for a NY stay. Small thing but reception was very noisy and a bit chaotic. The room was comfy with a great view but a few small details could make it better - false fire alarm woke us up (scary), hairdryer cutting out after a few minutes, cleaner coming in unannounced, no info in room on basic stuff like checkout time, a few belongings that resembled rubbish taken away (shower cap, water bottle). We wanted to see the view from the roof but were intimidated when we got up there by the party atmosphere - such a shame for residents are not to be able to enjoy it with a coffee or a calm cocktail.

Great location, near Little Italy and Soho, also to subway. Small room but clean, my door was one inch short at the bottom so I could here everything in the corridor. The scandalous thing is the « continental breakfast » this is a joke and lie. There are only on the bar a few yogurts and apple juice+poor coffe. The plave is not set upp for breakfast and they don’t clean-up.
