Silver Beach 601

We have stayed in this particular condo approx 5 times over the years and intentionally booked this year for my husband’s 72 birthday celebration. As we arrived with our luggage, and for the first time, others staying there notified us that the elevators were not working. So, at that time and every other trip to and from the beach, dinner, etc., we climbed 5 flights of stairs. We received an email from Southern Vacation Rentals offering 40% off additional nights stay. We asked for 40% off for the nights we stayed but no response. So, I called to speak with a representative regarding the discount. I then called the primary contact with Vacasa, the Homeowners Association. Perhaps discounts and refunds are are not granted but with the voluminous communications about our stay, someone could have made us aware, as a courtesy. Apparently, the elevator had been out for several days prior to our arrival and per contractors onsite stated the necessary parts to repair the elevators were on order and should arrive well into the next week. It is unfortunate that maintenance of the property and elevators (not just one) is not maintained for the benefit of the homeowner and the guest. We made a decision to leave after the 2nd night rather than the 3rd. It is unfortunate that we found a particular condo that we traditionally booked and enjoyed but courtesy of notification was absent. Despite the number of hands in the mgmt and charges, the guests should matter.

The unit was nice and the complex is right on the beach. We had a great stay.

My husband and sister was in my group, very nice condo, we love silver beach and love the upgrade to the elevators. The condo was clean and describe accurately. Will stay again

Super comfy and great setup/layout for a family. Great location. Pool was clean and inviting. Short walk to the beach. Check out time on listing was inaccurate. We arrived 15 minutes before check in to 100+ degree weather and had to wait for checkin 🙁. Listing says bring your favorite spices, if you plan on cooking, bring all spices/condiments! Otherwise we had a wonderful stay!

Booked last min. No regrets. We needed pet friendly and were pleased to find the listing for Silver Beach. It is centrally located. We loved the beach access and proximity to food, activities and shopping. There we team members around all weekend keeping common areas clean and moving trashing to dumpsters daily. There was only one elevator working but everything was fine. We all were patient and trips went quick. The unit itself was very clean. There were no funky pet odors. Outside there were multiple places to walk your dog and everyone cleaned up after their pets. There is a nice outdoor grill space if you want to BBQ. The pool area is nice and pool well maintained. The rental co checked in via text frequently. They were responsive to call and text. No issues. I would definitely stay here again!

One or both elevators were out for 5 of the 7 days of our visit which made it very difficult to go up and down 5 flights of stairs with luggage, groceries, etc. There was also a fire alarm problem on one of the days which meant everyone had to evacuate with their dogs down the stairs. On the first day of our visit there was broken glass on the bottom of the pool and we were told by security that he had reported it the day before. We won’t be staying at this condo facility again. It was very expensive to be that miserable. When I complained to the rental agent I was told that it was not intentional and that the HOA and elevator company was working on the issue.

Our family of 5 plus our fur babies enjoyed a much needed week end break. The beach was clean and the view was wonderful. The outside of the property was clean and fairly well maintained. We were a little disappointed with a few inside cleanliness issues; dirty doors in the bedrooms, dirty kitchen flatware, dirty condo floors. The elevators were very hot and the "aftermarket" fans had been rigged with plugs brought from the ceiling to service makeshift outlets. We most often used the stairs to climb to the 5th floor. We paid $60 extra for late check out. 1.5 hours before we were to leave, several members of the maintenance team arrived at the door and traipsed through our unit to evaluate the balcony for water leaking into the unit below. Under normal circumstances I might not have been so bothered by this interruption but for this trip my very nervous terrier was with us and had we not been in the unit she would have run out the door. We were unsure if the team would have entered the unit without our presence but this thought greatly concerned us. We specifically rented this pet friendly unit. We were concerned that the team arrived with no warning and we felt that this inspection/ discussion could have waited until after our noon check out. The cleaning person arrived 30 minutes early and though she was extremely nice we were not ready to leave when she arrived so she waited outside until we got our stuff out of the unit.

Leak in upstairs condo Mgt company only allowed use of 1 bathroom for all condos below unit for 2 days. Elevators not working all the time. Condo complex is dilapidated and need of repairs. We will never go back to this place.

Great location with easy access to the beach. Only concern is the gate codes to access beach, pool, and room were testy and didn’t always work. Overall it’s a good, pet friendly, option.

Nice,clean,welcoming. They had only one elevator working but no long waiting for elevator.

Great stay! Had only 2 issues. First and most important was the cleanliness of floors. They looked clean but the hubby walked on it with bare feet and they were black. Assume the cleaning crew only sweep. There was a small issue with the TV in the living room. No instructions on how to navigate. Will definitely stay here again, just hope management addresses the floor issue.

We love love the location as well! Right near grocery stores and walking distance to a major beachside restaurant. I think I’ve found my vacation spot for years to come. Had a small issue with the refrigerator that was communicated at check in, and even though it didn’t necessitate an immediate fix, maintenance was there that afternoon to fix the small problem. Nice condo. Floors were not very clean. Biggest issue was the balcony furniture. Only high to chairs. Impossible to go out on balcony to relax. Owner needs to make small investment in balcony furniture.

The property was just as described. Had a great balcony with awesome views and comfy furniture. The condo was very nice. There was a noise issue from construction and they were great about that and compensation. The beach was being torn up, but we love gulf shores and know it will just make it better. We can’t wait to come back. #futuresnowbirds.

This was a great rental in a fantastic location. Kitchen had everything we needed. Only negative is the queen bedroom doesn’t have a closet but it wasn’t that big of a deal. I wouldn’t definitely rent this unit again. Communication and check in/check out process was amazingly easy. Thanks so much to the owners of this wonderful unit!

The condo was great! Had everything we needed and more. Master bed was very comfortable. Love the ease of checking in and out! Views were amazing. Located in a great area with restaurants and shopping! Loved it! Would definitely recommend!

Great property, pictures were exactly what we got, perfect weather and great location!

The property was really nice and technically I guess it was excellent but it was my first time renting a condo so I don’t know.The view was fantasticThe only suggestion I would’ve had was to have rugs to wipe your feet on before you get in the bed Whenever I communicated, I always got a prompt response I guess the only other suggestion would be that the balcony furniture needed new cushions… Pretty worn out and no sustained fluff But overall, it was a really good place to stay and I would rent it again

Overall things were good, my issues is for safety purposes there should be handle bars in the bathroom showers, we call the support number with no assistance just telling us to turn if off as if we were idiots,of course we knew to do that, but when doing so, it would just come back on even with the door open. It stays rather cold the majority of our stay. The heat would not stay on either.
