Stay there was great. The staff and pool was amazing

THE POOL IS PUBLIC- the fee for non hotel guests to get into the pool is low so the pool is always packed and it’s always hard to find a good chair. I got extremely mixed information about how the pool worked. I THINK a good seat at the pool costs hotel guests money - like a regular lounge chair that is near the pool and not in a back row. This hotel is fake nice. I usually stay at Franklin guest house, and this hotel is not as nice even though the price is similar. The towel situation is very ODD- they gave me enough towels for myself for one day. I needed more wash clothes so I called down to have some sent up and the guy brought me ONE. I’m like .. are you running out?? The location is great - it’s in the northern most part of Williamsburg- BUT it’s directly next door to “movies in the park” for 4+ hours there was live music and a movie playing on giant speakers- I’m sure it depends on which side of the hotel you’re in if this will affect you. There are stairs leading up to the hotel . No ramp. I came in and out everyday with large bags I use for work- rarely someone was there to help me and there didn’t seem to be any other option but to lift them up the stairs myself (I met a new chiropractor on this trip!)

Front desk was very receptive and polite. The rooms A/C did not work very well which was unfortunate as was a hot and muggy day. Also, the pool needs better security as there was a big fist fight that led to the lobby and to the street (non guests). At that point we left. Maybe only have pool for paying hotel guests.... If that didn't happen, overall would have been a nice experience.

Generally the hotel was good. The room was nice and comfy, however the you can hear literally everything going on in the hallway and the lift opening and closing at all hours. The pool area was nice.

Good hotel, but unfortunately let down by very high daily facilities fee and the swimming pool is only open to kids for the first hour of the day (10-11am). I appreciate that it's more of an adults vibe with the bar, but they could extend it to 12 or 1pm without really having any impact. On the positive side, the rooms are nice and location is great.

Hotel is nice, rooms are rather spacious for a NYC hotel, and it’s right on McCarren park (hotel is also dog friendly so makes this a very great place to get out and stretch you and your pups legs). Very walkable to the L train into Manhattan, and tons of great restaurants and bars around. A couple of peloton bikes in their gym facilities! Be aware: WiFi is not good and we had to use a personal hot spot to stay online most days. We received mixed messaging on the pool area and lounges - we were told we needed to reserve ahead and pay $70 for the lounges (hotel guests are given access to the literal pool and some couches along the backside of the pool area). Though on slower days (Monday and Tuesday), we were able to snag lounge chairs on the pools edge for free. Some friendly staff members but some seemed inexperienced or not well trained (did not know policies or how to manage requests). Overall a nice experience but lacking in a few key areas.

Front desk staff were wonderful. The area around the hotel was great, nice parks and great restaurants. Room was cute although not completely clean, no garbage can. Parking garage was full next door which made things a bit complicated. Unfortunately the pool area and restaurant were not open during our stay.

the pool needed reservations because they allow outside guests to come in and it was fully booked. this was NOT illustrated anywhere before arrival or even at check in. then today the pool was closed because the pool was too dirty from all the people they let in. i paid $600 a night because of the pool compared to other hotels without pools at $400 a night.

This is not a 4 star hotel. The $50/day resort fee is excessive considering the pool is seasonal and all you get per day is 4 hours in a chair, but unlimited access to the actual pool. If you want a chair for longer you have to pay and you also have to make a reservation, so they may not even have a chair for you. Outside of the pool area, the hotel is not very nice. Our room had furniture that was very worn with stains on it, the walls and doors had very clearly been painted over a million times. I know NYC hotel rooms are tiny, but usually there is well thought out usage of space, not this hotel. Its just a bunch of old furniture thrown into a room and you attempt to walk by it. I was very disappointed in what we got for the price. There is a bathhouse nearby which charges $35/day passes, go there and its cheaper than the resort fee and stay somewhere else.

The area is amazing - right by lots of shops and restaurants. And it was quiet in the hotel too. The actual condition of the hotel was quite run down. It was clean but fixtures were loose, and the furniture scuffed. It was fine and the shower was really nice, but it could do with a bit of work up keeping the furniture.

Room was clean; bathroom newly remodeled and balcony lovely to hang out on. The room didn’t have a mini fridge & no ice machine in the hall but both were very easy and super quick to request from the front desk. Seriously, we walked in with leftovers and had a mini fridge in my room within 5 minutes. Great service. Great location!

The property is in a great location if you want to enjoy the park and beautiful Williamsburg. We loved it. Our room was small but so clean and so easy.

Breakfast was awesome… staff very friendly… The negative was the room floor which was filthy dirty. Looks like the cleaning crew never wet mops the floors.

I can’t begin to tell you how many things were wrong with my room. It smelled and the front door got stuck, toilet ran constantly ect. I usually do not leave reviews but this place was not good, especially for price. Its a 2.5 star hotel. Place under construction, pool closed too.

Overall good I did see a couple small roaches in the room it was my first time in New York so not sure if it’s coming for a 4 star hotel. Overall good location plenty of food options easy access to the subway. The pool was great

Spectacular location, perfect area of Williamsburg. Nice lobby, decent furnishings! Comfy beds! Rough around the edges when you look closer in the room though. Feels a bit like a fast home flip… paint not quite hitting the edge or going over the edge, sloppy grouting, cracks at the baseboards etc.

This hotel is fine...for a 3 star hotel. My issue is we paid 5-star prices (over $500 per night) for 3 attention to detail. Just a few examples - I could go on and on...upon entering our room our refrigerator was sitting broken outside our door. They brought another one up but it would not fit the cabinet that was designed for it so it just sat in the room taking up room. The TV has TWO remotes...you have to dicker back and forth with both of them to get the TV to work on the right input, etc. No one wants to have to figure all that out on a short vacation. Bed was only 18 inches off the floor. Was told I could have requested a higher bed but who would know that ahead of time to request that. The workout room has no towles three days in a row even though I alerted them about it on Day 1. Also, the workout room TVs didn't work...Just overall lack of attention to detail and amenities you would expect from someone charging over $500 a night.

The rooms are very small. There are few drawers or closet space for our cloths so we had to live out of our suit cases. There was only one bathrobe for two people. Only one umbrella for two people and Coda did not have extras. It was raining for two days. There are no shelves in the bathroom and only one hook for wet towels and no place to put cosmetics. Finally there was only one useful light fixure and I had to turn it off before getting in bed since the switch could not be reached from bed. All this for over $400 a night. Never again

While the lobby was nice, it was sort of like putting lipstick on a pig. The rooms were small, dark, and basically like a slightly polished holiday inn. Temperature in room was impossible to control. Couldn't open the windows, and there wasn't a fridge. Although advertized as being open (and being told it was open by the front desk), the rooftop bar was NEVER open. Everyone was very nice, however.

Location was nice, quiet for the city, and an easy 5 block walk from the subway. Plenty of food and shopping within walking as well. Arrived at 4:15, checkin according to their website is at 4:00. Was told the room wasn't ready yet, one gentleman said it would be about 5 minutes and the other said "so 30 minutes?" Not sure what the latter was trying to accomplish as I heard both of them but the room was ready in 5 minutes. The room was cold. Heat was set to 80 and never got above 74 because there is a significant draft from the balcony door. No smoking is allowed on the balconies either, which makes the view of the blacktops across the street less enjoyable. They advertise the rainfall showerhead in the shower, but fail to mention there is no door on the shower and the drain is raised enough to cause the shower area to flood the bathroom. If you are looking for a slightly larger room, with a balcony, for the same price go to the Gotham in Manhattan.

Loved almost everything. Loved the vibe, location, loved how quiet it was, pretty bathroom yet very small with tiny sink area, loved the lobby and pool area and the people were very nice and welcoming. Out only complaint was the super lowwww bed. It’s so low it’s almost like being on an air mattress. We are not young so maybe it wouldn’t bother young people . Overall would stay again but hoping they change the bed height!

Fyi theres a club upstairs pumping music til 3am on the dot lol, very audible

The check-in was a bit later than most (4pm), and we couldn't check in early which was a bit inconvenient. The rooms were surprisingly quiet from all street noise and neighbors to the side. There were however lots of loud drunks in the hallway which we could hear throughout the night which is somewhat to be expected from the area. The bathroom was top notch, and the tv had a lot of options which is nice to block out the hallway noise. It's a nice place. We would maybe stay here again.

Stayed the weekend here and would definitely recommend. Located in the perfect area to walk to restaurants bars and shops. Parking garage right next door makes parking seamless, and the rates were on the lower end which is always nice when in BK. Staff was friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. I called a few days before our arrival, as it was my husbands birthday, to see if there’s anything special they could do for him. After we arrived, room service showed up with a bottle of wine and glasses. It was a nice touch and definitely made us feel taken care of. We stayed in the king balcony- was cute and clean and the bed was comfortable. Room size on the smaller side but was perfect for us. Would love to see what the suites look like!

I booked early the morning of and when I arrived I was politely told that my confirmed booking could not be honored because they had over booked the hotel. The claim was that me and 2-3 other bookings from hotel.com/expedia.com didn’t get processed properly. Very frustrating. The front desk was gracious enough to give me coffee and WiFi to find another booking. The rate that I had was non refundable and the cancellation notification was ambiguous about if I had cancelled or if the hotel had. Once asked, the front desk guy sent an email explaining it was the hotel at fault so that I could use it if there were any problems getting a refund.

Unhelpful front desk staff watched me struggle with my bags and did nothing. Beach chair cushions are really dirty. I can hear people having sex in the room next to me. The staff did not listen at the beach club and the chairs are expensive even with a reservation. This room was also expensive, , a complete rip off. do not stay here.

Basim at the front desk was especially helpful during my stay, but all the staff were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and kind. With the window closed and A/C on, black out curtains pulled and comfy bed I slept like a babe each night The pool was a delightful perk - a little oasis in the middle of the city! Thanks,

Booked this in morning showed up late and they gave my room away and were over booked smh

The staff was very helpful, but unfortunately, there were several things about the hotel that made our stay unpleasant. First off, we were meeting our cousins there and the day of the reservation, they called her and said she had 45 min. to verify her reservation. Unfortunately, she was flying and couldn't answer the call so they gave away her rooms. Totally weird to ask someone to call you within 45 min. otherwise you will give away their rooms. So she had to find another hotel with 5 rooms at the last minute and ended up staying several miles away. Really ruined our family get-together vacation. When I went to check in, they couldn't find my mother's reservation. I showed them the confirmation number and after about 20 min, they found it (thank God!). Over the next few days, saw this happen to several people so not sure what is wrong with their reservation system. My room had a bed that was about 6" above the floor. Very hard to get out of bed each day. The bathrooms had no counter space, no places to hang towels, washclothes, etc. Overall, room was not practical but again, staff was always very pleasant. We would not stay here again.

Front desk staff were very good. Roof top bar staff were mediocre at best. The construction going on was annoying, and we wouldn’t have stayed there had we known about it. The door to our room had to be slammed to get it to close.

While the overall stay was passable, there were a few aspects that fell short of my expectations. The hotel staff, in general, were average; however, I encountered an issue with the pool bartender. I found their demeanor to be quite rude, which was both unexpected and disappointing. Customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry, and encountering rudeness from a staff member can significantly impact the overall experience. On a positive note, the room itself was clean and well-maintained. However, it lacked some essential amenities that one would typically expect from a hotel. The absence of these necessities was a letdown and impacted the convenience and comfort of the stay. Based on my experience, I have decided to explore other options for my future visits. While there were some satisfactory elements, the discourteous encounter with the pool bartender and the absence of certain essential amenities in the room did not meet my expectations. I am confident that there are alternative hotels available that will provide a more enjoyable and complete stay. In conclusion, my stay at CODA Williamsburg was mediocre. It is my hope that the hotel management addresses the issue with their pool bartender and takes steps to improve the amenities available in their rooms. By doing so, they can enhance the overall guest experience and ensure a more satisfying stay. Please bear in mind that individual experiences may vary, and it is advisable to consider multiple factors

Beautiful hotel in the center of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

This was a beautiful and extremely well kept and clean boutique hotel right on the border of McCarren Park. It is steps away from the heart of Williamsburg and Greenpoint. Easy ferry and subway access to Manhattan. Helpful staff. I would totally recommend!

Nice facility. Good location. Great service. Cost effective. But, the rooftop bar was so loud and the thumping beat so big that I couldn't sleep. It didn't end till 3:00am and had to get up at 4:00 to get to the airport. This happened both Friday and Saturday nights. Maybe the weekdays are better. I don't usually write reviews but felt I had to share this.

We were very pleased with ou stay at this hotel. Very clean, personnel very nice and would definitely go back. We walked 7 mins from ferry to manathan and the metro to come back was 20 mins about.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our visit to Williamsburg. I'd recommend it to anyone, especially in the summer when the pool is open.

Super comfortable bed and pillows. Not enough towels in the room. Website advertised restaurant with breakfast and room service but it didn’t even open yet. Location is great thought, plenty of restaurants and things to do in the area. Overall a great stay

Beautiful hotel. My only gripe is I wish my room had a fridge. I can’t save my leftovers. The hotel restaurant/bar was awesome. I got the steak. The bartender was super accommodating and makes a mean margarita. He’s super friendly & got me to order at least 1 more drink & a dessert 😅

PROS: This place is in a great location and has a fantastic pool. Also, the rooms are a nice size (especially for NYC). The style is beach-y. CONS: There’s no hooks or drawers for storage. The food is WAY overpriced and not good. The staff was inconsistent—some were great. Others were really poor. Like the guy who checked us in looked like he was coming down from an all nighter.

The hotel is very convenient for me when visiting my son who lives in the neighborhood. However, I wish there was some type of coffee making ability in the room. I really don't like going to the lobby in my PJs just to get a cup of coffee. And 7:00 (or later) is a bit late for people who need to get up at 6:00. Additionally, I couldn't find any creamer for the coffee you set out in the lobby. It may seem minor but coffee is very important to a lot of people before they get their day started.

Yhe stay was fine. Not at all exceptional though. The staff was friendly and locationwas very convenientfor us. On the negative side, the coffee was terrible every day. Way too weak a couple of days and way too strong a couple of days. Only nutrigrain bars offered. Gym was dingy and didn't have fans. We couldn't get out room to cool off for the entire 5 day stay.

Website menu was incorrect and in room dining not offered for breakfast. Rooms were not superior or deluxe. Very small and cramped. Bathrooms as well. Rooms needed to have blackout curtains. Free breakfast consisted of stale muffins and croissants. I would not stay here again.

This was my third stay at CODA Williamsburg. The rooms are not large but they are clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was always polite and friendly - even the maintenance crew. My only complaint is about coffee - a life giving ingredient in my opinion. ;-) There is no coffee maker in the room; they have coffee available in the lobby starting at 6:00am but the only creamer they have is vanilla cream. (why???)

Great staff! They made me feel welcome the moment I stepped inside. I loved the gym facility! The coffee could have been better in the morning, but my stay there was great.
