The room itself seemed clean & ok to begin with but its like there has been upgrade work done but not properly as whilst it looks ok on the surface, its not overly great. The cleanliness was the bigger issue as there was random chocolates, hair & bugs in our room so it wasnt cleaned thoroughly. On top of that, we found some mouldy chicken wings in the microwave, so the previous people must have left it there but again it wasnt checked/cleaned properly betwen stays or we wouldn't have found it. The pool and the pool area is also very run down and unappealing.

Contrary to website and billboard info, property did NOT have a restaurant or bar! Swimming pool was far too filthy to even dip a toe in! No direct access to lake. Room door security chain had nothing to connect to. Would NEVER stay here again!!

It was an overnight stay only, therefore the cabin was comfortable enough. The location is great, close to the lake , beaches, playgrounds and picnic areas. Neighbours facing the lake were noisy, till early hours of the night, which made it difficult to sleep. The pool needed to be cleaned. Overall it was good.

Staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble.. my 4 stars for facilities is because the pool was closed and I wish it had been advertised to save a childs upset, but we'll be back it was a short lived disappointment.. we should have checked. Thanks😊

The Lakeside Inn is value for money. The rooms are clean with all the basic comforts required for an overnight stay. Parking is not designated and on a busy night it is terrible to find a park.

The room was close to the lake, quiet and clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The pool was closed due to needing a clean. The motel needed a general face lift with small repair jobs. The bathroom in our room looked new and modern so maybe they are attending to a face lift. Overall happy with our stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Filthy. Disgusting. Falling down. Apathetic staff only care about taking your money. Tiles falling off, mould, holes and hair in bathroom, dirty crockery, glasses and cutlery, not enough chairs, filthy inside and out, exposed walls in children room showing foam inside, rubbish in pool and outside areas unkept, bbq filthy, no help from staff didnt care. Owners terrorised and tried to evict local residents, cabins currently in process of being condemned by council.

Disgusting! Property grounds need to be maintained. Windows we’re filthy. Floors needs a good mop. Mould in bathroom especially around bathtub. Loose brackets in bathroom. Wet and dirty bowls and utensils found in cupboard. Previous stays products found in vanity drawers. The whole feel was grotty and we couldn’t wait to get out of there. View is not pleasant from windows so kept the blinds down. Considered leaving and cutting our loses and find somewhere else but it was late with the kids so we put up with it but got out of there as early as we could. Would not recommend. Needs better cleaning and some time and effort not just a quick fix to get people to stay if you want a better review. Yuk!

My family and I stayed in the family cabin. The kids bunk bed sheets weren’t changed from previous people, there was holes In the walls from door handles and broken tiles in the bathroom. The benches weren’t wiped down and roaches in the bathroom. Broken fly screens which resulted to the cabin being full of flies. Definitely wasn’t a pleasant stay and not worth $670 for 3 nights will not be coming back.

Every single toiletry in my cabin was empty. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and dish soap. Found it ironic they had items to wash your dishes but no sink to wash up in. The basin the the bathroom didn’t drain so any sort of rinsing of plates had to be done in the shower. Plates and bowls were dusty and not cleaned in a long time. A previous guests pyjamas were still under the bunk beds. There was an inch of DIRT not dust actual dirt under the lounge and beds. No extra bin liners available. Extra sheets in cupboard but no extra pillows or blankets. The cleaners simply do not care by the looks of it and the owner/managers obviously do not do check overs. Such a shame because the location of this accommodation is as so good.

The good - Receptionist was very friendly and helpful - and apologetic for the several concerns I raised. Now the not so good.. The room was dirty - dust and other patron's items left under the bed. No kitchen facilities ( such as a sink). The only form of heating was a very noisy air-conditioner that had a very noisy rattle/vibration. Basic fridge with no freezer section. There are no accessible power points near the bed.They are way in behind the bed head. Curtains barely cover the windows. Noise from other guests upstairs went unabated (kids stomping feet on floor, running around outside noisily). I had a "pet friendly" room - but glad I did not bring him along...Just because a room is pet friendly does not mean it needs to be so devoid of basic facilities for human guests! I wont stay there again.

The office staff were courteous and called to confirm our arrival time. The place was very quiet, probably one of the most quietest places we have stayed with no noise from the main road or patrons. Couldn’t sleep in though due to cleaning cart rattling along out the front back and forth by 8:30am and door bell every time someone walked into the restaurant. Rooms were spacious yet bathrooms were tired and in need of maintenance. Rust visible from rooms and bathrooms on the walls. Beds were comfortable and had a great night sleep.

Extremely tired rooms. Air con didn’t work even after l replaced the batteries in the remote which was dead flat when l picked it up. Really needed aircon to work cause it was pretty hot. The tap in the kitchen was broken. No lamp in the room, yet other rooms had them. Paid $195 was probably work $80.

The room was ok but a few maintenance issues needing attention- shower curtain rail coming out of ceiling, wrong type shower head installed (non adjustable so shower spray soaks the door and floor) toilet roll holder coming off wall. Reported these to staff. Bedhead not attached to anything, old curtains. Needs a clean behind and under the beds. No spare blankets or pillows

The room was average at best, there was no sink for the kitchette to wash dishes and the bathroom sink was not fit for this purpose. On the plus side very comfortable bed and lots of power points.

A lot of confusion over my booking had me sent to a sister property nearby only to have to return again. The room allocated was not what I booked… not sure if that was a hotel error or Expedia. The room was clean and comfortable but the air conditioner remote was not working so the night was cold and the outside light directly above the windows to the room could not be blocked by the curtains so sleep was difficult with the bed positioned right against the window.

We were not given the cabin we booked with a Lake view, insted was in a room with a view of a roof, and the staff just blamed expedia and suggesgted next time we call them, THERE WILL NOT BE A NEXT TIME !!!!

Was contacted by staff twice regarding arrival. Explained we were on our way and would be there by 6.30pm (book in closes at 7.00.) Staff said would send text with code for key safe for late book in. We arrived at 6.30pm and the place was locked up. No text with safe code but a MMS that we could not download. Tried multiple times to call numbers displayed for contact, got answering service each time left plenty of messages got no response. We were there half an hour before advertised closing time. After lots of phone calls finally found motel in kiama that helped us out and gave key safe number verbally over phone

We had an issue which we reported to reception, was assure someone would call us Monday. Tried to contact over issue to be Told phone lines arent working So nobody has a mobile on-site? . On check out someone will call it’s six days later a phone call and messages sent still no reply. We had cockroaches in the cabin and a mouse amongst other things . Had an issue on site and they really don’t care as they have our money and not willing to contact us. Wasn’t going to leave a bad review wanted to let them sort out issues but since no contact I will leave this incase someone else gets caught too.

I was pleased with the stay just 1x issue we had somehow my colleague closed the door as he walked out and left the swipe card inside we were locked out . we tried reception but had no answer this was 830pm there was a number from a security company which we rang and they came within 45 mins but we had dominos outside will the security guy came there should be another way where you don't have to wait outside

Management are very good. I had to cancel my trip due to injury and the management called to say they have offered me credit to use within 3 months. I had not taken booking insurance so this was above and beyond expectations. Looking forward to the trip soon.

The rooms were tidy and clean- props to the staff. Only disappointment was from the name: "Lakeside" as it is actually separated from lake and any views are blocked by another property with homes. Otherwise this is a good location for nearby parks.

What a great place to stay, right on the shores of Lake Illawarra with views of the escarpment. The cabins were appropriate and clean, staff were friendly and the restaurant offered great meals with a quaint atmosphere alongside the gift shop. I'll be back.

Lovely restaurant attached with lovely homely food, beautiful atmosphere, and lovely staff. We were down for a funeral so it was super convenient not to worry about food options while we were there and know my toddler was getting healthy meals. It made a stay under not so great circumstances, nice, comfortable, and easy. I appreciate it!

The views were beautiful, lovely and quiet to stay no noise. Only downfall was no room service and with a family of 5 needs to be somewhere to empty rubbish bins to a d replinsh towels etc. Being easter long weekend probably had something to do with it. Other than value for money very affordable at $280 per night and big rooms.
