The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The art and design all over is lovely. I felt as if I were staying in a famously designed loft in SOHO. The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet and near parks and garden laden streets. Many excellent restaurants within walking distance. This is a place where one could live and feel at home. Don’t miss the view on the 3rd floor terrace.

I’ve stayed here MANY times and I love it! The hotel is so nice- love the design and rooms. Access to two Manhattan view terraces, easy walk to parks, waterfront, restaurants, subway. Awesome staff! Always friendly and helpful. It’s my go to when visiting family in Brooklyn!

This place is very comfortable and quite quirky. There is no parking, but it's in a neighborhood where street parking is easy and they send out a staff member to find you a spot, then wait in it while you get your car! Above and beyond. The street is light industry, residential the next block. The room is huge by any standard and the price is extremely reasonable.

The Henry Norman is like no hotel I've ever been to in the best way! The decor is a beautiful mesh of retro and contemporary art. The rooms are significantly larger than most hotels for the same price. There are two out door areas so you can catch some air without actually leaving the property which is a plus. The staff are kind in their greeting and very accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Brooklyn area looking for a beautiful stay that feels as personal as someones home with all the additional amenities of a hotel.

I had such a wonderful stay at the Henry Norman. After a few days of travel to multiple cities, being able to use their laundry services and gym were amazing blessings. I also loved that my room had a private rooftop patio as well as a full kitchen - two things that are unheard of for most hotels, especially in NYC!

I have stayed at the Henry Norman many times over several years and it consistently exceeds my expectations. It is always clean (even the stairways), the staff is friendly (even those meticulously cleaning the doors), and the rooms are spacious. I highly recommend it.

We were asked to sign a waiver upon arrival to agree to a noise policy and we later understood why. We were kept up by the guests above us, every step they took and door opening/slamming was very loud until around 2-3 AM. There was also some white crystals in the sheets (probably crystallized detergent). The entire hotel also had a kind of pub smell including our room. There was a bar on the first floor in the hotel, could be why. We were willing to overlook the location for the reviews but were disappointed for the price.

Awesome hidden gem. Street parking was safe and easy, the room was HUGE for NYC standards and the lobby and all common areas were clean and trendy. We had a great time and the location was within a few short minutes of subway, bars and restaurants. We ended up in a suite so had a separate living and room area. The ceiling height was very high and added to the spacious feeling. We also had a private patio with some nice views of the NYC skyline.

My only issue was that the rooms are not very sound proof even by hotel standards. Sleeping past 7 am was difficult between the loud guests in the room above us and the cleaning crew in the hallway.

Always enjoy the stay. The hotel is unique in design and decoration making it fun. It is close to the hot spots in Greenpoint, short walk to parks, dining and transportation. Great restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. It caters to the Brooklyn vibe and parents of the neighborhood.Rooms are spacious and well done. The issue for us is they only offer queen sized beds and the AirConditioning comes from a wall unit so the one off working of the unit can be a distraction. That being said, we always enjoy our stay

This is an extremely nice place to stay. Some of the rooms are very spacious, you can get a full kitchen set up. It’s really only a short walk to restaurants pubs parks. Spending time in Greenpoint or Williamsburg it’s a good place to stay

The Henry Norman Hotel was the perfect choice for our one week visit in NYC. More like a studio apartment than a hotel room. Well-appointed full kitchen, dishes, glassware, pots and pans and full-sized coffee maker. It's quite a hike to the subway, we only did it once, then decided the cost of a Lyft/Uber was worth it. Lots of walkable restaurants, bodegas, shops and nice park.

The hotel was very nice, our room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable. Check-in was easy and the front desk guy was super friendly. Our only complaint was the noise from the street. It was insanely loud and kept us up into the wee hours. It would be helpful to have earplugs in the room.

We visited Brooklyn for a family wedding with no knowledge of the area. The Henry Norman Hotel turned out to be a serendipitous choice. It is a beautiful boutique hotel with large, clean and comfortable rooms. All amenities were provided. The size of the bathrooms in an NYC hotel was remarkable. The staff went above and beyond to assist us in every request. Martin, at the front desk was especially helpful. Thank you! Excellent restaurants, bakeries and shops of all kinds within walking distance. Easy 20 minute ride into Manhattan. If you need/want to be in the Greenpoint area, you will not be disappointed by the HNH.

Asked a late checkout (1 hour) in advance and was told no, that I would have to ask the morning of, or pay $75 in advance. Ridiculous policy for something that was inevitably allowed. I asked at 1am and they said to ring in the morning. Lol

The hotel is very nice. Comfortable beds, beautiful vibe. Its location is very convenient for us because it’s near where my son lives, but be advised that it’s on the edge of a residential neighborhood in a more industrial area. It feels safe, but it’s just not very scenic.

Stayed here for a show at Brooklyn Steel. Easy 15 minute walk to the show. Loved the room! Great decor and layout overall—spacious and had a great vibe. Staff was great. The immediate area outside of the hotel is a little sketchy at night because it is pretty desolate and is street parking only. The car was OK but felt the need to check on it every now and then. With the Williamsburg location, it would benefit from a secure parking lot—at the very least—for peace of mind.

We had a beautiful room with high ceilings, lots of space. We were able to park right out front for free. We were able to walk to many different wonderful restaurants and saw a concert at Brooklyn Steel which was about a 15 minute walk that felt completely safe.

My second stay here and would recommend without a doubt! Beautiful boutique hotel in the quiet and well located Brooklyn neighborhood of Greenpoint. All of the rooms are unique, clean, and comfortable. An artsy and architectural wonder—you really have to see it in person. Amazingly kind staff, located near countless shops, restaurants, activities and transport! Perfect NYC stay!

Awesome property, but def pretty out of the way from the main happenings in BK! Perf if you’ve got friends/fam in greenpoint. Walls are a bit thin in this old hotel so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper

Second time saying here. Very cool boutique hotel at the edge of a nice neighborhood. Street parking isn't too bad, grocery store nearby, and a subway stop about a 5-10 minute walk away. No bar in the hotel but they will sell you bottles and you can go to one of the two decks to enjoy them. A little pricy, but a much bigger space than most hotel suites.

Would definitely recommend if this is your first time in Brooklyn. Staff were super friendly. Great atmosphere and decor is outstanding. We felt safe and welcomed. Breakfast was really good and amenities were great. All around a great place to rest and relax while you spend your time in Brooklyn

It's such a unique space, a neat combo of art and industrial. The Henry Norman team was FANTASTIC. Without them we wouldn't have known about the NYC Ferry station nearby which was a great way to get to Lower Brooklyn and the city. The breakfast pastries were bakery grade, a total treat.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The Decorations were quite charming. The view of the city from the 3rd floor roof was wonderful. The location required a walk to restaurants, but order-in menus were provided which made up for those of us who wanted to eat at the hotel. The breakfast bar was somewhat limited, but that’s evidently because there is no kitchen.

I have stayed here a few times and so has my husband when we travel to NYC. It is clean and the staff have been great. There are very few dining facilities nearby, and I would be afraid to walk around there in the evening. The breakfast, at $10.00 per person, had stale baked goods on the one day that I ate there, on 8/13. There are no hot things to eat unless you eat oatmeal. I only ate there once the week I was there.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Henry Norman! The room was clean, modern and well appointed with extra blankets, a hot pot, mini fridge, and coffee & tea selection. The complimentary breakfast included fresh fruit, hot beverages and a great selection of baked goods. The G and L trains are nearby and the Greenpoint neighborhood has many good cafes and restaurants.

Very helpful staff especially JORI Large rooms plenty of closet. Space made service was excellent. There is also a free continental breakfast in the morning downstairs with croissants yogurt, etc..
