I liked their breakfast and pool

I arrived on friday for the weekend to visit family. The staffwas amazing and very friendly. I had a room with a king bed. Really the first thing i noticed was how clean it was. I normally always wear slippers because carpet always feels icky. I walked across the room with bare feet and the carpet was soft and felt clean. The bathroom was so clean i couldn't find a speck of dirt anywhere. The only things i thought needed to be addressed is the fact that the light in the bathroom is extremely dim. Thats especially difficult for a woman putting on makeup and doing her hair. I imahine it wouldn't be that great for a man shaving either. There was a bit of paint peeling around the edge of the window. One other thing i was very disappointed about was how extremely small the pool was for a hotel of that size. I like to swim laps and seriously if i took 3 or 4 strokes i would have gone from one end to the other. It really was ridiculously small. But even with that i would rate it as a 10. The bed was so comfortable and it was very quiet.

Overall, this hotel should not charge the same rate as other newer hotels in the same region, like the Courtyard and Home2 that it shared a parking lot with. This hotel has seen better days. Below are the specific issues we encountered: 1. The fire alarm went off at 4:30am on Christmas Day - we were told these false alarms are an ongoing issue, which is a problem for safety, beyond the inconvenience of getting pulled out of bed and into the cold 2. The pool had a layer of green scum across the top, and was ultimately closed down for ‘maintenance’ 3.On more than half of the days, hot breakfast was not provided due to staffing issues. 4.Overall, the room was in poor shape, it was dirty, there were holes in the walls, and the veneer had peeled off the furniture 5.At checkin, we were asked if we wanted housekeeping; when we said that yes we’d like it because we were staying for over a week, we were told it could not actually be provided. The only time our room received a visit was when we reported that we were running out of toilet paper

Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Parking lot had multiple, large icy sections.

Centrally located to all the activities I had planned while in Elkhart. The staff were super nice facilities are modern and very clean.

Amenity is not good. Shower curtain was molded. Nowhere to sitting down in the room. No couch and table in the room.

Extremely clean room and bathroom. Front desk staff was great!

The building is fairly new but, there was ants in our room… I didn’t like that.

Room was clean but smelled funny. I purchased febreeze to try to get the smell out

It was very clean. The staff were friendly and professional. I highly recommend this hotel. It was a very nice stay.

I walked in and the lobby appeared very clean and the front desk lady was very nice. Once we got to the room I noticed the lights were off but the TV and the heat was on. It appeared that someone had been hanging out in the room prior to us checking in. We also found a black sock on the floor beside the bed.I pulled down the sheets to check for bed bugs and the sheets were filthy. They were covered in pubic hair and had pizza sauce dried up on them. We went to the front desk to asked for them to be changed and they told us there was no housekeeping and we could change them. The room wasn't clean at all!

They are neighboring like three other hotels, and it was noisy from outside all night. Inside the hotel was great! Came in late at night and left early in the morning.

Room was really big and well kept

This is a nice quiet area and room. Very clean. Our complaint is that the online information said the room included a sofa bed. We wanted to use the area for seating. Room was not as pictured

To much noise kids running on hallway had to call front desk at i11:30pm

The hotel room was very clean, strong water pressure shower and comfortable bed. The front desk staff was very professional and inviting, we loved our two night stay.

Nice place. I liked that it had 3 beds and a little more privacy than some hotel rooms, as we were 4 adults sharing a room. The room was a nice size.

I stayed Sun-Friday at the Fairfield in Elkhart. I worked from my room the whole week remotely. The desk and chair were very comfortable and the Wi-fi was reliable. My room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. I have a bad back so I'm always nervous that the bed will be too soft but the bed was firm enough but not too firm. The sheets were nice as well. It was a little odd that I didn't get fresh towels until Wednesday and the towels could have been a little more substantial in quality and size. The main bathroom light was a little dim but the light over the tub was nice and bright. The shower pressure was satisfactory and the soaps and shampoos were nice. AND best of all there were a ton of restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Front desk at check in was very polite and friendly and answered all our questions. All staff greeted us anytime we passed by them.

Issue with payment, they almost double charged

Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. We evacuated the building in the cold and the staff never came out to tell us it was a false alarm. We had to figure it out on our own. Showed up for breakfast about 830 and there was next to nothing out. 4 staff at the main desk talking. Lemon water with no ice from the night before. Want at best “hot water”. No coffee. Crumbs on all counters. Everything was old and not appealing one bit. Our entire stay only 1 staff member greeted us and was kind. They definitely need some updated training and more attention at this location.

3:00am fire alarm for no apparent reason and no explanation from farfield and no compensation for our ruining a quality night’s sleep.

Alex is the epitome of a hospitality manager. Very courteous on arrival and next morning even remembered my name which is a first in 50 years at hotels. Gayle was really helpful at checkout and also has what it takes to be in that type of business. Cudos to both of them.

Solid place to stay while traveling. Front desk was super friendly.

First, the service by the front desk people was STELLAR. Loved them. Very kind, warm, and friendly. But there were some issues. We were there 7 days and housekeeping only came in once, after begging for someone to come in. Frustrating. Was supposed to happen every other day.

Greeted at the check-in desk and received our keys. The lady told us that the housekeeping only took place on day 3 of our stay. I emphatically explained to her, that I would need housekeeping “daily” and she said she would take care of it. (Also told us, that if there were any clothes on the bed that they would not make it. I assured her that we are quite familiar with putting things away so housekeeping can do their job in just a few minutes. All we wanted was to replace the towels, empty trash and make the bed. (Probably a 10 minute deal at most) We left the room about 10 and returned about 5, guess what? No one had touched the room. Called down and she was apologetic but couldn’t really do anything, however she would bring some towels up, which she did promptly. So day 2 was a fail. On day 3, there was a “banging” on the door about 9am. My wife answered the door and said that we would be leaving in about and hour. The “lady” seemed very put out about this and her facial expression was that of disgust. We left at 10 and returned about 5. Upon returning, the room again had not been touched. We called down and again, got the apologetic front desk, who was unable to do anything. We asked for towels and she said she would bring them up. This time she must have been busy doing her own job, as it took a couple of hours. So day 3 was also a fail. We are seniors in our 70’s, we do not expect to spend time making the beds and “begging" for towels.

Everything good for a one night stay on the road. Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, decent hot breakfast (coffee just ok). Small problem with ac in room addressed satisfactorily. Would stay there again - Fairfield usually does not disappoint!

This property is always clean and the staff is great! If I could improve anything it would be to lengthen the hours of breakfast on a weekday! Overall though it’s excellent

Room 323 wall paper is peeling thru out the entire room. Brakfast is the same every day. After 2 weeks it is boring. Most times no fruit. No meat on weekends? That is what the taller slender girl told a customer. Then why was there no meat a couple days during the week. Never saw her wipe a table down and we usually stayed in that ares an hour in the morning as we were killing time. Very disappointed

I was disappointed that the breakfast was started to be put away prior to the time it was scheduled to end. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.
