All staff service good, but didn't have opportunity for evening meal or breakfast, so comment only covers some aspects of overall service. Slight inconvenience in no evident on-site parking. Street parking outside and street appears to be free on-road between 6:30pm-8am BUT the meter on the side of the hotel has no reference to exclusion times, whereas the meter across the road was specific... just be careful if you decide not to use one of the many local car parks.

Good eception team who were accommodating when room safe failed to work. Overall I like this place. Parking however beware. They have an arrangement with a nearby NCP . I am still in dispute with Aloft as I paid for an exit ticket. - its functioning was poorly explained ( yopu need to input it in teh pay machine and then insert the ticket from NCP. this wa snot explained so I have paid twice - currenlty Alo=ft do not see a need to refund me -

Some of our party had to move rooms as the bathroom door didn’t shut, none of the rooms had shower gel in the bathroom all were empty. Tried to get a drink at the bar early evening was told there was no beer of any sort on tap, came back one evening and bar was closed told we could have a free bottle of water instead. Tried to order an omelette from the breakfast menu only to be told they were waiting for an egg delivery so no omelette available.

Amazing location, cool hotel, with really comfy beds and nice spacious rooms, would definitely stay there again. Travelling with late teens and the perfect spot for them. Only criticism was lack of good lighting in the bedrooms and the bar ran out of very basic drinks. Did great cocktails but didn’t have Bacardi, Baileys, amaretto etc. That needs to be addressed.

Firstly Jaslyn behind the bar was exceptional - very polite and helpful with a lot of local knowledge and very personable. She was our favorite. Everyone was polite and friendly and helpful though. The location is a block from Cavern Quarter in one direction, the docks in another, and the World Museum in another not to mention all the great pubs and restaurants in the area. It was a perfect location. (I downranked the condition and facilities as I would have liked a main light in the main bedroom, and the tv was unplugged so I had to plug the ariel back in and there is a bit of erosion on the wall paper just above the toilet in room 310 - but it was spotless and the shower was amazing and love the big pillows and having loads of them).

A pleasant enough stay, room needed a bit of maintenance but nothing drastic. Good location by no onsite parking. Parking is about 500m away in an NCP car Park on Vernon St and hotel has a lower 24hr price arranged with them.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Issue with one of the rooms which was very sub-standard is terms of cleanliness and condition. Mentioned this to staff who apologised and told me to mention it to Expedia to raise an official complaint.

The man at reception was lovely when we check in ,but there was a young girl there at the time we checked out,she didnt have the decency to say thankyou or goodbye if i would of known i would not of bothered ! We had to be moved from 412 as the room looked worse for wear ,it felt as if it was let out to stag or hen doo's toilet roll holder was broken ,scruffs all over paint works,damp patch on ceiling ,marks on wall paper,shower door missing,we complained and was moved the next day but we had to wait till 4pm to see what was available,so eventually we were put in a back room of hotel in 205 which wasn't much better ,dirty hand marks all over headboard ,paint peeling away in bathroom again scruffs on paint work ,didnt think this was worth £255 for 2 nights ,we think we should be compensated for the inconvenience that we experienced tothink this was rated a 4 star hotel and was part of the marriot group really a very bad experience to say the least !

Our room had a stain on the floor that looked like someone had been sick and it hadn’t been cleaned up properly. Plus stains on the hallway carpets all led to a feeling of uncleanliness. Bathroom and bed were clean, neat and tidy though.

We stayed two nights. During both the fire alarm rang (at 1.30 a.m first night, at 2.30 a.m. the second night). On both occasions, with many others we walked down three flights of stairs to be told FALSE ALARM. Excuses in the morning varied. But apparently anybody vaping in any room requires alerting the entire hotel. Apart from the improbability of the relevant vaper never starting smoking at less anti-social hours, it is ludicrous that hundreds of guests have to have their night's sleep ruined because of such an unsophisticated all purpose alarm system. Even though beds were reasonably comfortable, and the rooms clean, my family will not return to this hotel until we can be assured on an uninterrupted night's sleep.

The room was good with a comfy bed and pillows and a large shower. We would have given the hotel a good review but for the fact when we went to bed and pulled the cover back there was a huge blood stain on the sheet directly by my pillow. We turned the sheet over and down to the end and didn’t bother asking for a change, (which we were told would have been done)as it was so late at night. We couldn’t believe anyone would have made that bed and thought it was ok to leave the sheet on like that. It had obviously been washed but left stained and needed throwing. It really spoilt our stay. Other than that the hotel has a good location, breakfast was ok as well, not the best but decent. I wouldn’t stay again as the bedding issue put us off.

Rooms were spacious and the staff were kind, but the hotel feels run-down and less than clean. My room was in the basement which only have half windows. The carpets have an odor, housekeeping missed trash removal, the rooms are not well lit and the room itself was very basic. Overall, not the level of Hyatt quality I expected for the price.

Stayed for 2 nights with my daughter as a birthday surprise. Check in was quick & efficient & our room was ready early . Reception area was bright & welcoming . Lift to all floors was helpful . Communal areas all clean . Room was a good size , clean & comfortable . Only fault we found .... the toiletry bottles on the wall in shower were empty . Housekeeping did a quick turnaround . Breakfast was good , lots of choice & very fresh . Great location . Would definitely recommend.

We were incredibly disappointed by our stay at aloft. Firstly it is an incredibly dirty hotel, there is constantly rubbish in the halls left by guests which wasn't collected once during our 2 night stay! This included dirty plates, rubbish, beer glasses and bottles and more! It is an incredibly noisy hotel with terrible flooring that creaks non stop, doors slamming at all hours, terrible acoustics so you can hear other guests and street noise. Further other guests kept dumping bottles and glasses in front of random doors so whenever you leave your room you have drinks left there which weren't collected for 24hours. The room cleaning was only half done with towels left on the floor and new ones added, dirty pillow cases with old makeup stains and the bins not emptied. The bed and pillows were horrific! You could feel the springs and the mattress was lumpy. I would love to say the staff we great but honestly we were really disappointed. At check in we were told if we book breakfast we will pay the discount rate which we did and then at check out they charged us the daily rate and said they couldn't change it as they didn't enter it. This just made the experience that much worse. I can't recommend this hotel and would absolutely avoid it if you want a comfortable stay in Liverpool.

A hotel that has clearly outlived its heyday. The common areas appeared dusty and dirty. In my room the safe didn't work, the door lock was broken, there was mold on the shower head and the bathroom and the floor in the bathroom seemed dirty. The breakfast was boring and half-cold and it wasn't replenished so the whole buffet appeared half-empty. The employees were nice but seemed a bit uninvolved in the running of the hotel.

I stayed two nights for business purposes. Hotel is modern and bed is comfortable but a couple of things let it down. First night I went down to restaurant but was told there were two large coach trips in so I couldn’t eat there and ended up having to find somewhere else to eat. The TV in my room did not work, at least not to level where it was watchable. The signal was scrambled and a lot of channels were missing completely (BBC 1, ITV etc). My colleagues in other rooms also reported the same. The hairdryer overheated within about 60 seconds and wouldn’t turn back on for ten minutes, by which time it was too late. Breakfast is average. Appreciate these may be minor annoyances to many, but when travelling for work, you often just want to relax in your hotel of an evening.

Within the city centre a short distance from everything you needed. Room was good size and comfortable. The bathroom lacked a plug in the sink and somewhere to hang wet towels. The housekeeping was very good the room made up and items replenished.

Beautiful conversion of building with many of the original features. Lovely tiles, wood features, stainglass windows, ceiling features, to name a few. Nice spacious room. Comfortable bed. Room had no access to open windows, so air con or very hot room. Not great shower with poor design of shower door and drain. Breakfast was OK, the freshly made omelettes were great.

A nice hotel overall. Some shortcomings but won't be a deal breaker for most. Staff are not prompt with service, you ask for an item and it could take a while until they bring, maintenance in particular is lacking. I asked for a maintenance asststant many times and finally someone showed up and did not even fix the problem, promised to come back but never did.

Excellent hotel with great staff! Our bathroom door wouldn’t close so they got us a new room that was even larger and more spacious. Location is awesome close to everything, Albert Docks, restaurants and pubs! Loved our quick stay in Liverpool!!!

Firstly Jaslyn behind the bar was exceptional - very polite and helpful with a lot of local knowledge and very personable. She was our favorite. Everyone was polite and friendly and helpful though. The location is a block from Cavern Quarter in one direction, the docks in another, and the World Museum in another not to mention all the great pubs and restaurants in the area. It was a perfect location. (I downranked the condition and facilities as I would have liked a main light in the main bedroom, and the tv was unplugged so I had to plug the ariel back in and there is a bit of erosion on the wall paper just above the toilet in room 310 - but it was spotless and the shower was amazing and love the big pillows and having loads of them).

It was a nice property, the staff felt a bit indifferent at check in. Parking was a bit of an effort, the room was nice but no telephone in the room. We needed an extra towel and more tissue and had to go down to the lobby to request it. They were prompt at getting these items, but it was inconvenient.

The Aloft was the perfect hotel for us with an excellent location. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful, expecially Alex on reception . She gave as lots of useful tips - how to get to Matthew Street (Beatles), Hop On bus departure, eatng places .... All this added to our city break. Liverpool is a beautiful city with friendly people. Hotel is fine, location less so. Dead rats outside, perpetual smokers in the steps and public zombies on drink and likely drugs outside. Room was clean but both the sink and shower blocked. Towels worn out. Lovely staff!

Central hotel, ten minutes walk from Lime street station and two minutes from Moorfields station and right in the center of things, shops, restaurants and all the main attractions within walking distance. Fill cooked and continental breakfast was served in the dining room, which retains lots of its original features but in a modern setting. Staff were helpful and polite. The Hotel was particularly nice as it was in an historic Insurance building. The room was excellent - clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. We ate there on one evening and the food was very good.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful old building which has been converted into the hotel but kept all the amazing features of the old architecture. Our room was lovely and clean. Bed and pillows very comfy. Breakfast buffet was good with choices of hot English breakfast or cold continental and a choice of pastries too. Short walk to either the river or into the lively area of Matthew St where there are lots of bars with live music. A great hotel. Would stay again if we visit Liverpool again.

I stayed two nights for business purposes. Hotel is modern and bed is comfortable but a couple of things let it down. First night I went down to restaurant but was told there were two large coach trips in so I couldn’t eat there and ended up having to find somewhere else to eat. The TV in my room did not work, at least not to level where it was watchable. The signal was scrambled and a lot of channels were missing completely (BBC 1, ITV etc). My colleagues in other rooms also reported the same. The hairdryer overheated within about 60 seconds and wouldn’t turn back on for ten minutes, by which time it was too late. Breakfast is average. Appreciate these may be minor annoyances to many, but when travelling for work, you often just want to relax in your hotel of an evening.

Location! Easy access to Albert Dock, Liverpool 1…. Lots of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was very good lots of choices! Bar area is nice for a cocktail or after dinner drink…. Overall just a nice hotel.

Great stay loved the hotel - room service food was terrible!! Pizza was cold not cooked taste of tomato pure, couldn’t eat after a few beers… Breakfast was good as we were very hungry the next morning. Hotel is great though enjoyed our stay

Beautiful conversion of building with many of the original features. Lovely tiles, wood features, stainglass windows, ceiling features, to name a few. Nice spacious room. Comfortable bed. Room had no access to open windows, so air con or very hot room. Not great shower with poor design of shower door and drain. Breakfast was OK, the freshly made omelettes were great.

The breakfast was great, the view from our room on the fifth floor was lovely, and everything was spotless and in excellent condition. The discounted parking and free gym were the cherry on top. The only slight issue we had was the noise from the room above us. Around midnight, the creaking floorboards were quite noticeable. Considering the age of the building and the price we paid, this was easy to overlook, so we still gave our stay a five-star rating.
