Hotel DC, Stratford

Purfect hotel for our London trip. Easy to find,parking available at the hotel, chargeable but very reasonable. Breakfast was very satisfactory. I brought my own soya milk with me for breakfast. would definitely recommend this hotel only 4 stars for cleanliness, as a drain smell in the bathroom, the floor was clean, but feel it could do with a steam clean, looked like it had a build up of cleaning product. But thats a tiny observation on my part. Bed lovely and clean and comfortable. Thank you for such a lovely greating when we arrived to the self service breakfast.

Been to hotel DC a few times now. Good service very clean and comfortable. Parking has always been good ( reserve as soon as you book ) breakfast okay fried eggs mostly overcooked but still a good breakfast with good choice. Will stay again.

Room and staff excellent. My only issue was parking. It wasn’t clear that it would be an extra £15 to park and I thought I had bought 24 hrs parking, but had to vacate spot at check-out.

Great convenient parking on the front of the property for an additional £15. You will need to phone to book this in advance though. Very Basic. I felt it was lacking in a few minor things and needed a womens touch to add those few things to make it a more comfortable stay. Unfortunately I had a herd of elephants in the room above me but other than this was a convenient stay for 1 night.

Smelly room in the basement. Very limited breakfast with cramped chairs. You get what you pay for - and if you are on a budget this is not an awful place... just don't expect top quality facilities. (However, I have been in similar 'down market' options in central London that cost twice as much and were no better!) Basically anywhere is London is expensive and if budget is your main concern then this place is not too bad and fairly well connected within a 15 minute walk of Stratford / the Elizabeth Line...

Nice little hotel with good transport links. Breakfast included was basic, but tasty. Room was smallish and bed was not the most confy. Parking was available at the front that was convenient.

The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of on-site parking. Staff were friendly if a little distant (had one ear phone in, waited for you to speak first, etc.). Location is further than you think from Stratford station - need a taxi.

Clean, tidy and practical accommodation with a few parking spaces (you pay extra for these and ideally book in advance). The staff are very welcoming and a reasonable breakfast is available.

Absolutely fab budget hotel that’s not part of a chain. Easy access by car from the motorway and ideally placed for 02, Stratford etc so great base for exploring London. Staff really helpful, great breakfast and nearby shops. Room really clean. Cheap on site secure parking. Will stay again.

At first seemed like a good and clean hotel but woke up to multiple bites on my body. They clearly have a bed bug issue so please be careful!

Stay in Hotel DC was very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room adequate for a short stay. Clean and all quite new. Only downside was in room 113 the drains had a problem and there was a distinct smell coming from them. Which I’m sure now I’ve told staff will be addressed.

Very friendly staff at check-in which made the process really simple. Room was clean, tidy and well presented. Great value for people who have to stay away from home for work purposes. Lobby looked welcoming with complimentary hot drinks & juices.

The location is good, walking distance to the railway station, breakfast is not bad, the staff is helpful. Only on the first day there were many hairs on the sheets

A clean and safe hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, room was clean and looked recently decorated. Breakfast is included in your stay and is a mix of English and Continental options, and the drinks machine is also available outside of these times so you can make yourself a drink while at the hotel. Breakfast items were replenished promptly as they were being used. Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 9.30am. The whole hotel looked recently renovated and there is CCTV coverage inside and outside. In terms of accessibility from what I could see there is a ramp leading up to the hotel entrance and a lift. There is some car parking available however because it is so limited you are advised to book this in advance if you need to use this. In your room there's a kettle with two mugs and some tea and coffee choices. There are several options to buy food or have food in or as a takeaway down the road near the Forest Gate tube stop, which takes you into London on the Elizabeth Line, a 5-7 minute walk. I felt safe staying there as a single female and would come again, 10/10. You might find the room a bit small if you are more than one person sharing but it was just fine for me overnight. Suggestions for future improvements: Install a peephole in each door and a chain for the doors for additional security. There are two dispensers in the shower but as they were not labelled, I was unsure what they were (shower gel or shampoo perhaps?), I therefore did not use them ><

There are bus stops just outside the property with regular bus services to Stratford, from which there are a lot of different connections into Central London. Very friendly and accommodating staff. All in all, a good place to stay for London standards.

Unfortunately our bed was full of bedbugs and we finished our vacation full of welts. They changed our room but experience was bad.

Clean and tidy room and property in general, some mould in the lower part of the shower but the rest was good... The room was in the Ground floor and quite small, not well insolated to noise as can hear every step of people on the stairs and worse the room upstairs having a "good time" but for a one night I do recommend... Excessive CCTV cameras in all corners inside and outside but I guess that is good for safety just a bit too much in my opinion.

The staff was nice, the place was nice and clean, there is parking for a fee, there was a smart TV and we watched some Netflix, there was a AC unit too. The neighbourhood is a bit dodgy but the hotel is cool for the price we paid Breakfast was nice as well

The room was clean with a modern bathroom. Room was a little smaller than expected but it was comfy and the air conditioning was great. The staff were friendly on arrival offering us drinks straight away and offering to help with our bags. The breakfast was nice and there was plenty of it. The location is great as it was about 15minutes to walk to Stratford station and then beyond this you have the Olympic park and the Westfield centre.

Amazing hotel for price, clean, the sy, new, comfortable, everything you need. BUT DON'T EXPECT TO SLEEP... Stupid green light in ceiling makes it daylight all night... Would not stay again due to this.

Rooms are small, but bathrooms were a good size.

The room was quite spacious, but disappointed not to have a window, just a skylight. Also the bed was against the wall, so tricky to get into and no bedside light or bedside table on that side, yet there was plenty of space for the bed to be moved away from the wall and to have a light and table that side. Breakfast was good, and plentiful, but no fruit or fruit juice.

Lovely hotel. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is ideal, only about a 10/15 min walk into the centre where the buses and trains are frequent. Rooms are spotless and only downside was the position of the bed. One side was against a wall which made it a little awkward.

Let’s start with the good - 15 min walk from Stratford, new building, nice rooms, pleasant staff. I happened to have booked a room on a very hot day. They must have known how hot the room got as the small windows were open when I checked in. However, it was only warm air coming in and noisy, so I put on the a/c. This didn’t seem to work very well, so I asked if I could move to a cooler room, but they were fully booked. So they gave me a key to keep the a/c on and I went out for the day. I got back around 10pm. The room was still stifling hot. The a/c didn’t work. I had to revert to watering a towel to try and keep cool. All I want in an hotel room is quiet and cool and a comfy bed. I hardly slept all night and can’t comment on the breakfast as I was so tired and annoyed I left as soon as possible in the morning. I did tell them about the a/c and suggested they get a fan for the room. All in all a very unpleasant nice in a nice room

Small hotel with very clean and well maintained, modern rooms with AC. Only thing missing is a safe. The staff is friendly and helpful, the area a bit seedy but with good public transport connections.

I wasn't sure about the area around the location but the hotel itself was new and just what I needed for an overnight stay. Bus stop and Sainsbury's local was a few minutes walk away and the hotel is only 4 stops from Stratford bus station & Westfield shopping centre (with lots of restaurants there). Parking on site was available. I found the staff to be friendly, helpful and accommodating and I was offered free hot and cold drinks on arrival (and free throughout the stay). I had an issue with the room and was moved quickly and efficiently. The room was small but comfortable and equipped with all I needed, the bed was comfy, the room had air conditioning and the shower was clean and hot. A variety hot and cold breakfast options in the pleasant reception area made it a pleasant start to the day. If I were coming to Stratford in the future, I'd be happy to stay here again.

Really nice clean hotel with excellent staff. Well fitted out and has everything I needed at a very reasonable price. This was my second stay on a work trip and I will definitely return. Many thanks to Team DC.

This hotel is a great find. Definitely value for money, has a nice vibe about it, staff are lovely and helpful. Convenient for the Elizabeth line.

Great shower, lovely shower gel and velvet toilet roll. Free cooked breakfast and only 15-20 minute walk from Stratford station. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay again!

Booked to stay for a visit to the O2. Rooms were clean and comfortable with everything needed for a nights stay. Good breakfast in the morning with different options. Only 20 mins walk from tube station

It seems like this building was purpose-built as a hotel, and it's so much more convenient than many other guest houses in London that have been adapted and converted from old houses. My room for a single person had a nice and practical layout, with space enough to move easily even when I leave my suitcase open. The bed was really comfortable, but I wish there were two pillows instead of the one. Breakfast was also pretty decent, with eggs, bacon and sausages, toast, jam and butter, as well as cereals. There was also a coffee machine. The hotel is a bit of a walk (10-15mins) from the Forest Gate station on the Elizabeth Line, and it's not in central London, where most of the tourist attractions are, but I think DC is of great value for this slight inconvenience.

Excellent hotel, about 20 mins walk from Stratford - and 10mins from the nearest train station. The hotel was clean and the area felt safe. Tea, coffee and water was available throughout the day. Breakfast offered a good range of options.

This boutique hotel was clean and provided a good breakfast. Our room was fine with two double beds. The location left a lot to be desired. There were no pubs, restaurants or shops within walking distance. A bus stop a block away did provide easy access to the Stratford train station and bus terminal. These were within walking distance of London Stadium.

The breakfast and ability to have a drink at any time.

The stay was good, as have used this hotel before, but the breakfast was cold and it didn’t seem that the hot/warm plate were working.

Nice hotel but the room was really small and not well laid out. The bed was pushed to the wall and would have been difficult to get out of if there were 2 people sharing it. TV was at high level to the side which made it difficult to see. Room was however clean and modern. Free tea and coffee in the lounge was a bonus but breakfast left a lot to be desired. Not the best breakfast I've had in a hotel but not the worst either.

Property was clean and staff was friendly. Food was mid(5/10) eggs are bit rubbery and sausage taste a little funny but everything else taste good. The shower was also a bit strange, but was good running water. Building looks nice as well and book parking in advance they only have about 6 slots in front of the hotel. But overall good and will go back.

Our stay was amazing and our room was pretty cozy.Their breakfast there was good. They had fried eggs, sausage, hash browns and bacon. I would definitely come back to them if I came back to this part of London.

Having stayed at most hotels in and around Stratford this hotel rates amongst the lower end. Rooms were clean and functional. However the breakfast was very basic and not very expansive. There was no welcome to the dining room or explanation of the layout it really was a free for all. It would definitely need to make improvements in this area. Having been a manager in hotels for many years I feel qualified to pass these comments

I have stayed here before and will definitely stay again. Although the hotel doesn't do food you can order in and use their tables, chairs, crockery and cutlery. Free hot and cold drinks are available in reception as well as kettle etc in room. Having glasses in the room would be useful for cold drinks. I did find the duvet was tucked in too low on the bed so I had to dismantle the bottom of the bedding to enable me to use the duvet correctly. Breakfast good but a bit chaotic when busy due to the small area at the end of the dining room but there is little that can be done about this.
