Pool, and deck around pool was dirty, floor in our room was also not very clean. The bed was comfortable and appeared clean. The water pressure in the shower was also lacking, enough to shower in but that was about it. Overall could have saved a few bucks and been closer to the boardwalk with other options.

Everything was okay except the pool. Pool was not clean and people just leaving stuff randomly around and in the pool. A little more oversight could be an improvement. Pool is only 3’ deep so recommend for youth and small children.

Property was dirty and very poorly managed. Staff was not keeping up the property. Our safe didn’t work, told them 3 times and nothing. Requested our room to be cleaned and nothing. The loopy on the first floor where we stayed smelled like fish from the restaurant. Elevators, the ice machine room and all areas was dirty and no one was cleaning anything. The pool was only 3ft deep and the pool area was dirty ( just like the rest of the property ). Location was ok.

My room was very dusty and clearly not cleaned properly. The maintenance of the property could have been better. The pool had missing concrete around the outside. The elevator was filthy. I was also charged a $10.00 a night hotel fee that I was never informed of prior. I was told there was going to be a hold for incidentals not that I was being charged a fee. The fitness room had two weight machines but only one of them is functioning.

The property was close to the beach which was a plus. Being pet friendly was a plus. Room was okay but we wouldn’t stay here again. The front desk said the rooms were ready but wanted to charge us $40 per room because it was 3pm vs 4pm. Really, they why say the rooms were ready!! We had two bookings with 3 rooms in our reservations. We relented and paid one $40 fee only because we wanted to unload our cars and get our trip started. There also wasn’t enough parking spaces and we had to park elsewhere which in Ocean City is not any easy task when the hotel say they have ample parking for their guests.

1bed was dirty. Light in bathroom didn't work. Patio door wouldn't shut or lock. No kleenex 2 towels. Ants everywhere. Ask for towels and coffee had to go and get it. Hallway was dirty and smelly. Dog barked all night. Paint was peeling and not finished. On a good note there was covered parking and easy to get to and out of. Walking distance to shops and food.

The most dirtiest hotel I’ve ever been. The sticky elevators, floors, carpet and smelly bathrooms. Your skin sticks every surfaces you touched. Cleaning cart with trash park in the hallway for days and it smells. Breakfast is horrible! Never coming back!!!

Upon arrival and walking into the hotel I could tell previous reviews I read, had been false. It was dirty, old, wet. We got into our room and the first thing I noticed was the very strong odor of mildew. Just so damp and wet. There was rotted floor boards in the bathroom, and just overall very poor conditions. I called the desk and told them our room smelled very badly of mildew and requested to be moved. He said there was one room left and offered it to us, but it still needed to be cleaned. Okay, no worries. So we did. I’d say it was about 30% less of a mildew smell than the previous room. It just felt very damp in the room. Also, no toiletries so make sure you have that packed. We did not stay our whole reserved time because it was so terrible. I will not return. We also had our 3 year old son with us who became very congested after the first night there.

This hotel is not very clean. I had gone to 4 different rooms before I found one that I was willing to accept. First room the beds weren't even made and there were dead smashed bugs on the sheet's and the curtains were hanging down from the window basically busted off from the rod and the desk chair had fruit of some type drying up on it's leg.The second room was extremely smelly and the towels in the room were stained with something??and also had some one’s hair in them!! The 3rd room again wasn't very pleasant due to bugs and smell and the 4th room when I went into it had a puddle of water from the refrigerator being powered off and more than likely defrosting however it smelled much better and there were no dead bugs or hair in the towels in this room. I will say that I must give credit to the young man who was in charge at the time of my arrival because he fully understood my concerns and did his absolute best to try and accommodate us and our stay and I was greatful for his concern and efforts!!! Now let's talk about breakfast, when you have 30 people trying to make themselves a waffle that takes 3 minutes to make, you really shouldn't shut down 2 out of the 4 waffle makers & why they did this I don't know however it made breakfast very challenging for all the people staying there. Let's go to the pool, screws were just laying on the concrete were children could walk on them next to the drinking fountain and towels were very limited. On positive side close to beach

Our room had no towels. Looks like no one swept the floor Sand all over bedroom floor. The pool was filthy with trash everywhere. Guests at the pool played loud music at 7am. The drawer in our room was broken. There was trash in the hallway everyday. It was disgusting. We paid a pretty penny to stay and waste our money. Never again

AC did not work properly in 90 degree heat. At least 10 electronic games each with their own music blaring 7 doors down form guest rooms demanded to be turned off as no one could sleep with the carnival of music. These machines should be turned off at 9 p.m. every night at the latest. The pool closed in the early evening...why not these machines? There was no maid service. For the money, and my expectations of la Quinta, we--my staff and I--expected better.

We needed to move rooms after we had unpacked. The air conditioning was not working. A maintenance worker worked on it for over an hour then we asked to change rooms. The doors to the roons stick terribly, I could hardly open them without my husband's help. The nicest part was how close it was to the beach. Also, see photos below, looks like they fixed a leak but never painted., and spots on floor buckled and bubbled from likely water damage.Will not stay there again.

The worst experience I’ve ever had with any reservation! I reserved 2 rooms both rooms had no heat. My room was king size my daughter and grandchildren had double beds. The second room they got the heat working. That’s the room my grandchildren and daughter was in m. My room still had no heat it was freezing cold. They moved me to another room. I woke up the next morning in that room to a non flushing toilet and I had a cold from the cold room the night before! They ended up moving once again to another room where I finished my visit. Worse experience ever!!!

This is the third time that I’ve stayed at La Quinta. I thought I would give it another try but I see I can’t stay here anymore. Their Wi-Fi is still garbage like it was the other two times and they really need to upgrade seeing that other people are on it at the same time Miguel at the front desk was very nice! The others seem like they don’t know how to open up their mouth and speak clearly and smile when dealing with guest! Also, I do understand you have a pet policy. I have a pet so I’m not against that but the hallway carpet smelled like dogs and urine. When you have that policy, your hotel should never smell like pets are there! Our room was right near someone that had a dog and he barked practically all night!

The property is in the midst of a renovation which is definitely needed. Breakfast is very limited but certainly in line with the continental breakfast as described. The hotel is in a really good location! Lots of walkable dining, close to the beach. But the real gem is the staff, particularly Miguel! He was the BEST! So sweet and professional. Greeted us by name, always with a smile, helped us change rooms, kept breakfast full! Great customer service Miguel!!

There was nothing unique about the property.. We will not stay there again and we will not recommend this place to any of our friends. The staff was very unfriendly, except for the manager Gabby. The rooms were okay. We had a balcony,come to find out all the chairs were removed, so we couldn't sit on our balcony and enjoy our city view.On the internet was supposed to be a partial ocean view. The continental breakfast,was not very appealing or inviting. We chose to pass on that for obvious reasons. We wanted to enjoy the beach for a couple hours before leaving. Since checkout, time was 11 o'clock. When trying to enter our room at 1030, we were locked out. when asked the front desk Why? She said, it automatically locks you out at 10:30. When inquiring, why that is, the response that I receive is that's the way it is.

Unsure why no one has been upfront about the resort fee, which I got charged after my stay, when I thought Expedia had totaled everything. The cost of the stay versus the overall experience was very unsatisfactory based on the cleanliness, the odor, the willingness of the front desk staff to help, and the AC not being cool enough despite its lowest thermostat setting. Definitely not coming back. This is the only La Quinta location I will not dare return to or recommend.

My husband Went to check in with out son. They gave them a room which was occupied by another person. It could have been a disaster!!! There were people yelling at the front desk and the superviser said he would make it right but he didn't have the authority. The general manager Abby came in this morning and didn't offer any help basically make it seem like it wasn't a big deal. Basically "oops"! Do not stay in this place! Didn't even offer any percent off. No one was asking for a free night but being memorial day weekend getting another hotel last minute was terrible!!! And we have several pictures of everything!

Our reservation and paid deposit was not transferred to hotel. So we had to pay the current rate as opposed to the locked in. The room we stayed was terribly dirty. The coffee machine had a millworm come out when I tried to brew hot water for some hot chocolate. There was a bloodstain on the curtain. Handprints on the headboard and mold on the bedsheets. I told the front desk and they gave me a new room. It was better but felt as if the staff was not warm after. We asked for an extra towels, they gave us 1. Asked for extra trash bags, gave us 1. Breakfast was out if forks, asked an employee and she gave me 1. Each instance, my family was standing with me when I asked and each time was never asked how many I needed. Just a blank stare and turned away to return with 1 item. Ordered from the restaurant attached to hotel and they seemed confused of inconvenienced about a pick up order. $50 for 3 burgers no better than the McDonald’s across the street. The only redeeming experiences were the location and the girl at checkout. She was super nice.

The staff was very nice and pleasant and that is the only positive thing I can stay about anything in this place. 1. There is no housekeeping staff during the week so you have to go to the front desk to get anything you may need. 2. The food is absolutely disgusting on the breakfast. The potatoes are put into a microwavable container and microwaved right there in front of you and then dumped into the warmer tray. The eggs are runny. The sausage are soaked in water. There is cereal and French toast available. They do have waffles and a waffle maker. That was the only edible thing. There was no fruit available our entire stay nor yogurt. 3. The pool area was absolutely horrendous. Two days in a row the trash had never been removed empty trash containers were all over the area, clothes, shoes, etc.. 4. The floor of our room was black. I actually took towels and wet them and wiped the floor. I couldn’t even get all of the sand or black off so we continued to wear our shoes in the room the entire time. 5. We had an efficiency area which had a two burner electric stove, a mini fridge and a sink. However, there wereonly two forks and two knives, two bowls and two pots nothing else. So when you’re traveling with a family of three or four you’re better off just bringing your own supplies. There are no scrubby pads or anything to wash out the items you use. 6. I don’t think our entire hallway was vacuumed during our stay, only 1 ice maker in the entire building. 7. Gym was mostly broke

We went for a long weekend trip, there were a few observations. This was our second time staying at this property. Right from the start we noticed the parking garage was fairly empty so we had a convenient spot close to the door. We got in around 6pm and there was no one at the front desk to greet us. I had to wait a few minutes to check in. Everything was good with the room, very clean. Cons of our stay: *No chairs on the balconies *Bins to drop dirty doggie bags were not changed during our whole stay, it was full. *There was no breakfast! there was a line of cranky guests because there was very little food for guest including coffee. *Fruits; bananas specifically were black, were sitting out our whole stay. *Garbage bins were not emptied during our 4 day stay on property. We enjoyed our first stay which is why we went a 2nd time but were a bit disappointed. Willing to give it another try at a later date.

Overall our stay was okay for what we needed, sleep and shower. The hallways smelled like wet dogs I mean they are pet friendly but we don’t need to smell like it. Complimentary breakfast was very basic. Just waffles, sausage, microwave potatoes, dry cereal, pastries. No hot cereal or healthy options so if you have dietary restrictions don’t bother going for breakfast. We have stayed at other LaQuinta’s that offered a little more but this we were disappointed with this location.

Great location. Very polite staff. Easy check in and check out. Adequate continental breakfast. Only complaint is cleanliness. From the elevators to the pool to the guest rooms just needs a thorough cleaning. We did not know it was a pet friendly hotel, TONS of dogs.
