Great single room. Good size, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and lovely bed linen. Very convenient location for the university and town in a lovely part of town. Parking on road outside hotel was very easy. Will stay again.

The bed was comfortable & the room was pretty, but aspects of it were dirty & dated. The parking was not as described & we had to walk through a dirty pathway that felt unsafe to reach the hotel. Overall, it was a good stay.

The room was large with high ceilings and 3 large storage cupboards. Ensuite bathroom was adequate, had instantaneous wall mounted water heater and semi-circular shower with 2 sliding doors. Bed was comfy. Anne was welcoming and easily contactable by phone. Small basic cafe in the basement, open for breakfast. Positioned on a busy road, about 30 min steady walk to Albert Dock, Liverpool One, Beatles Museum, bus tours and a short Mersey river cruise.

Wasn’t quite what we expected, the building is on a busy main road going into Liverpool, but once inside it needed a little love and care. Several oops looked like they had been forced open! Once in the room we found a pair of used ladies nickers in the bedside light!!! And above the wardrobe door was chewing gum. Although the bed was comfortable it was two singles joined, and the crack down the middle wasn’t that comfortable. I think the final point was that the kettle couldn’t be filled out of the sink, you need to transfer water from a cup, that’s if the tap doesn’t swing around when you use it putting water all over the floor, maybe this happened before which would explain the missing shower door replaced with a curtain that doesn’t work either!!! Finally we would have had breakfast there but it wasn’t open until 9, and we wouldn’t have had time for that as the graduation was to start at 9.30. However the alarm constantly chirping away all night meant we were up in plenty of time.

Very convienient location, plenty of on street parking. The room and bathroom were spotless with a comfy bed and even a fridge which some would find useful. On booking we were aware that we were booking a room in the attic however the only window is a dormer window which is fine but the catch is broken so making it impossible to close properly - therefore letting in noise and cold air and also the blind covering the window is rather worn and will not move on it's runners so not possible to wake up in the morning and seethe outside.

Disappointed with no receptionist as rooms were cold only one small heater provided a with no receptionist we couldn’t raise the complaint . the cafe downstairs the lady was very helpful a friendly.

Possibly the strangest hotel I’ve ever been to. Didn’t see anyone from start to finish just a call or texts from whoever. But room was great decor lovely Parking can be hit or miss - I was lucky. Breakfast in basement run by a different business and through door marked “Staff only”.

Great location, and what a room. I very much didn't expect it to be that amazing. Absolutely lovely. Breakfast can be taken as extra for £10 between 8am-10am. Unfortunately, as we'd had a late night and didn;t get up till late, we missed out on this. But just up the road we found the Bon Cafe serving grgeous Arabic breakfast dishes and coffee. A great little find

Everything was clean and tidy, a couple of little issues, but that was more to do with personal choices. The breakfast was really good value for money 8 -10 am. Its unfortunate that theres a 4 lane road out the front, and the police do like their sirens,but that cant be helped. Parking was easy right outside on the road. A little shop within 200 yards. We were there for a graduation, and it was a 5 minute to the Cathedral . Ann the manager, is fabulous and very effective and efficient. So big thanks to you all.

Check in was tedious to figure out and nobody was at receptionist desk to help.No one seems present at the hotel and it is advertised as a hotel and not an airbnb.The bathroom had hair in it,the water in the sink took ages to go down,the toilet seat would not stay up when you are sitting to do your business the seat is falling on your back,the drain cover in the shower was broken off,the drapes were partially torn at the top a good ways so the light could not be blacked out fully,I could hear the creaking of the floors of above me & I'm hoping it was people walking not rats or something making that noise because it sounded like animals climbing and running to me,I could hear the water doing down the plumbing system when water was used.I believe the hotel needs massive renovations or fixing of many fixtures.

Close to 86 bus was only advantage. No staff seen during my 3 night stay. Carpets dirty and haven't been vacuumed in a long time, bits of debry lying everywhere, and remaining on the carpet for my entire stay. Heavy winter duvet during the heat we have experienced, not good at this time of year. No internet connection in the bedroom, I would continually have to step out into the corridor/passage to get reconnected. Layout in the bedroom meant it was like an obstacle course to get from bedroom to bathroom. Half the electric plugs in the bedroom did not work. Toilet roll holder in the bathroom fell apart the moment one touched the toilet paper. Each day it was carefully repositioned, and as I begun to use the paper, the whole apparatus, paper, metal support made up of numerous metal pieces tumbled to the floor. Poor lighting in the bathroom, one ceiling light needed replacement. A huge disappointment when it should have been a celebratory weekend. A newly painted front door, and gilt framed mirror on the stairway does not make it an acceptable hotel. Hugely disappointing.

The important things were clean, the bedding, bathroom etc. The rooms need some TLC and could be amazing. Loved the features, large rooms, easy to get in with key fobs, clear instructions, even parking outside although pot luck if there's a space. What let it down was easy to fix stuff like broken tables, tatty wardrobe, dirty headboards, curtains hanging off in room 2, carpets grubby. This beautiful building is in a great location and feels safe. Wouldn't take much to make it fabulous.

It was advertised that self check-in parking was included, but the only option available was street parking. The property is run-down and dirty, with drafty windows that let in street noise. The manager is unresponsive, there’s no AC, the shower is broken, and the sink is clogged and many other issues.. Couldn’t be worse.

Some issues with the room. Right above the kitchen and smelling of a fry up first thing. Some pealing wallpaper and curtains hanging down. Also one of the sockets did not work. Heater struggled with the size of the room.

Toilet roll holder in the bathroom fell apart the moment one touched the toilet paper. Each day it was carefully repositioned, and as I begun to use the paper, the whole apparatus, paper, metal support made up of numerous metal pieces tumbled to the floor. Poor lighting in the bathroom, one ceiling light needed replacement. A huge disappointment when it should have been a celebratory weekend. A newly painted front door, and gilt framed mirror on the stairway does not make it an acceptable hotel. Hugely disappointing.

Great location, and what a room. I very much didn't expect it to be that amazing. Absolutely lovely. Breakfast can be taken as extra for £10 between 8am-10am. Unfortunately, as we'd had a late night and didn;t get up till late, we missed out on this. But just up the road we found the Bon Cafe serving grgeous Arabic breakfast dishes and coffee. A great little find

It was advertised that self check-in parking was included, but the only option available was street parking. The property is run-down and dirty, with drafty windows that let in street noise. The manager is unresponsive, there’s no AC, the shower is broken, and the sink is clogged and many other issues.. Couldn’t be worse.

With a little attention to detail this could be a good place to stay. The carpet wasn't vacuumed well, the wallpaper was peeling, and the overall feel was sort of run down even though they claim it was recently renovated. The little cafe downstairs was nice. There is no other staff. It's like an air bnb where you get the keys from a lock box. We didn't really care for that.

Not really a hotel, as no staff, you collect your key from a safe box outside. The room was large and clean. But the en-suite smells of drains, the sink was very slow to drain and the shower was awful, either freezing cold or very hot water no in between on any setting.

The room was large with high ceilings and 3 large storage cupboards. Ensuite bathroom was adequate, had instantaneous wall mounted water heater and semi-circular shower with 2 sliding doors. Bed was comfy. Anne was welcoming and easily contactable by phone. Small basic cafe in the basement, open for breakfast. Check in was tedious to figure out and nobody was at receptionist desk to help.No one seems present at the hotel and it is advertised as a hotel and not an airbnb.The bathroom had hair in it,the water in the sink took ages to go down,the toilet seat would not stay up when you are sitting to do your business the seat is falling on your back,the drain cover in the shower was broken off,the drapes were partially torn at the top a good ways so the light could not be blacked out fully,I could hear the creaking of the floors of above me & I'm hoping it was people walking not rats or something making that noise because it sounded like animals climbing and running to me,I could hear the water doing down the plumbing system when water was used.I believe the hotel needs massive renovations or fixing of many fixtures.

The hotel was among the cheaper ones, and it was clean enough but not quite as clean as I am used to when travelling for work. Chair covers and curtains in the room was worn and stained. Comfy but a little hard bed. Clean sheets and towels. Dirty windows. When we reported blown light bulb and problem with shower, it was fixed really quickly. Overall an acceptable hotel, but don't expect it to look anything like the pictures. Very friendly ladies in the breakfast café in the basement, excellent food!

Possibly the strangest hotel I’ve ever been to. Didn’t see anyone from start to finish just a call or texts from whoever. But room was great decor lovely Parking can be hit or miss - I was lucky. Breakfast in basement run by a different business and through door marked “Staff only”.

Everything was clean and tidy, a couple of little issues, but that was more to do with personal choices. The breakfast was really good value for money 8 -10 am. Its unfortunate that theres a 4 lane road out the front, and the police do like their sirens,but that cant be helped. Parking was easy right outside on the road. A little shop within 200 yards. We were there for a graduation, and it was a 5 minute to the Cathedral . Ann the manager, is fabulous and very effective and efficient. So big thanks to you all.

Wasn’t quite what we expected, the building is on a busy main road going into Liverpool, but once inside it needed a little love and care. Several oops looked like they had been forced open! Once in the room we found a pair of used ladies nickers in the bedside light!!! And above the wardrobe door was chewing gum. Although the bed was comfortable it was two singles joined, and the crack down the middle wasn’t that comfortable. I think the final point was that the kettle couldn’t be filled out of the sink, you need to transfer water from a cup, that’s if the tap doesn’t swing around when you use it putting water all over the floor, maybe this happened before which would explain the missing shower door replaced with a curtain that doesn’t work either!!! Finally we would have had breakfast there but it wasn’t open until 9, and we wouldn’t have had time for that as the graduation was to start at 9.30. However the alarm constantly chirping away all night meant we were up in plenty of time.

The location is great. It’s easy to walk into the city centre. However, there was no free parking available. The road is busy and there wasn’t a parking space throughout our stay. The room was clean but the window wouldn’t shut properly and the blind was obviously broken and I really struggled to get it closed (it just needs replacing), There was also a drainage problem with the sink so cleaning teeth and washing wasn’t great.

Fantastic stay. Affordable, relatively central without being too loud. A little noisy with it being on the main road but it wasn’t too distracting, for the price this was a fantastic stay. We stayed 2 nights and will definitely be returning, thank you!

Friendly staff, clean spacious room. Original Georgian Window shutters. Limited parking spaces out front. Due to the nature of the property it is not wheelchair accessible. Short walk to the Albert Dock. Would stay again.
