Great hotel, great location, staff were incredible and overall I was blown away by this place. If I had one criticism it would be there were only two lifts and you had to wait a couple of minutes for them occasionally. Otherwise in terms of location, staff and value for money you won’t beat this place. A real gem.

A great hotel that is ideally situated to explore New York from. We loved walking down the street through the wholesale flower shops in the early morning. I liked that breakfast wasn't included so you could explore your own options. The rooftop bar was a great to watch the sun go down on the city, but as with all of New York, it was expensive.

The hotel was under construction so only one elevator was available the entire time to service the entire building. Waits were long! The lobby was torn up completely. Must add that the staff was gracious and offered rooftop space before checking in.

The hotel was under construction with no lobby access. Only one elevator was being used for the entire hotel because the other elevator was under construction as well. Due to the amount of people staying there, you could not get an elevator as there was a line to the front desk. Several times we had to climb ten flights of stairs up or down to get to our room on the 10th floor. Our AC did not work when we got there. They immediately sent a tech up and he had it completely replaced in about 30 minutes from when I told them about the issue. The staff was great but the construction was not. We were still charged the full rate.

The hotel was under renovation during my stay. The general use areas, such as the lobby and breakfast area were not accessible. Rooftop restaurant/bar not open. Only one elevator in service, which resulted in long waits. My room was fine, but cleaning not available because of the renovation activities. The staff was great. I think the hotel should have notified us about the renovation work, and offered us something for staying during renovation. I liked the area, very walkable in the flower district.

I had a lovely stay here while in town for work - the staff were very nice and checked in via text to make sure all was well, which I appreciated. The rooftop was also really sweet and we enjoyed being in the Flower District as Spring sprung and the flower shops were in full bloom 🌸

I stayed at the Cambria hotel 5 nights. The stay was fine, but there is considerable room for improvement. The staff was pleasant, the room was spacious. Cleanliness was the most disappointing aspect. It wasn't dirty, but didn't leave one feeling clean either. The couch in my room was so full of stains that I simply could not sit on it. The chair by the desk had clearly had milk or coffee (or something) spilled on it, and had not been properly cleaned. The soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower had clearly not been carefully wiped, and had not been checked--after two days I ran out of shower soap. The hallway areas on each floor are very small. Most days, as I got off the elevator to make my way to my room, the first thing I encountered were big garbage bags that were left there as other areas were being cleaned. The refrigerator in the room is there mostly for show: I put a bottle of water in the freezer section. After two days, it was slightly cold. With moderate effort, the hotel could significantly improve its guests' experience.

The greeting from the front desk was luke warm at best. The rooms are very run down - rusty shower heads, markings on the white towels, not sure the phone had ever been cleaned, headboards scuffed up and gross. Nobody ever answered the phone in housekeeping or the front desk to assist with down-free pillows due to allergies (this was requested in advance but not fulfilled). So we had to go down and get them ourselves. They gave us two allergy-free pillows. For four people. The other two people used our clothing as pillows. Ice machine was broken. Walls are thin and guests next door kept trying to come in the shared room door. I could go on and on. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Liked the hotel staff and area. They have a cute roof top and lobby. However I will not return. The cleaning of the room was subpar. Although main items were clean, you visibly saw splatters/stains on the bathroom doors and walls. The bathroom looked a bit overused. The room and beds seemed better but I wondered how clean it really was based on the bathroom assessment.

My room didn’t have any body wash in the Shower - it’s the kind that they refill every so often so if it’s empty it means the housekeeping hadn’t checked in weeks. I asked the front desk for a refill twice and a bar of soap in the meantime and they never sent me any soap. I got a text asking how my check in went and for comments and I told them about it and I was still ignored again. Really poor management and front desk. The room is clean-ish and decent size for NY. Location is great but I would way rather stay elsewhere nearby for this price. Not coming back.

I found a roach in the bathroom before showering. disgusting. The floors were dirty and was not clean. I made sure I didn't walk on the floor barefoot. bad experience for a 1st time stay. You should reimburse me my money back and work on fixing your rooms.

Great location in Chelsea. Walkable and easy access to subway. Very “normal” hotel in NYC in terms of amenities which I mean in a good way because some NYC hotels cut corners. Bathroom is small but nice shower. Room is also somewhat small, but included two double beds, desk with chair, closet, microwave and fridge. Even an extra side table. Staff were very accommodating in providing towels and tissues when requested. Nice area in lobby to lounge. We would return.

Couldn't really fault this place for a quick overnight stay: room was spacious for NYC, nice brew coffee in room, great location close to Penn Station and 28th for the red line. They kept the luggage the next day so we could explore the city. The bathroom a little on the small side, walk in shower, toiletries provided. I personally slept fine but my husband found the traffic noise too loud (horns beeping late in night and early next day).

Great hotel. Location is perfect, within walking distance to everywhere and a subway line at the end of the street. Plenty of coffee shops, delis, restaurants etc nearby. Rooms are spacious, a little tired but clean and comfy. Housekeeping daily. Free coffee/tea in reception. More than happy to stay again on our next visit.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was relatively quiet and spacious but without a view; the roof terrace was also very pleasant. The bed/mattress was sagging on both sides. The bathroom is tiny; to close the bathroom door you have to stand between the toilet and the sink; otherwise the door stays open when you do your business. The closet doors squeak and creak like something from an old castle.

Overall, we had a great stay! The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of many places we wanted to visit, which made our trip much more convenient. However, we did encounter some issues during check-in. When we arrived, we were told there was no reservation under our name, despite having a confirmed booking through Expedia. I had not received any cancellation notice, so this was unexpected. After some back and forth, we learned that the reservation had been canceled on the hotel's end two weeks prior, but the update had not been reflected in Expedia’s system. I'm still unsure how this misunderstanding happened. Thankfully, the front desk was able to accommodate us with our original room (two beds) and even provided early check-in, which we really appreciated. That said, our experience with the front desk staff was mixed—while some were helpful, others could be quite rude and dismissive.

Sometimes one or two bad apples in a hotel staff can make or break one’s stay. Unfortunately, for the Cambria hotel Chelsea, one such angry staff member ensures that we will never stay here again. We live in New York and due to recent structural damage to our apartment, our insurance company is paying for our lodging. As a result, a third-party is being used to book our reservations. Night one and two were uneventful, but on the morning of the third night, we informed staff that we would be extending it by another night or two and were waiting on a confirmation number from a third-party momentarily. Since it was a few seconds, before checkout time at 11 AM, a nasty front desk agent named Angel threatened immediately to have us physically removed from the room if we were not out in 20 minutes, despite my very friendly and logical conversation moments before explaining the above and expressing our wanting to extend our stay. Sadly, there are many employees of hospitality venues that do not understand that if their employers do not ultimately succeed that they will be out of a job as will countless others. The old saying you get what you pay for applies not only to the Cambria hotel, but also to staff of hotels in general. Be careful.

I waited 7 hours to get a room. Plus I made reservations online weeks ago. I checked in around 11am and it wasn't until 6pm I got a room. I left my number at the front desk and I didn't receive a call nor a text. I didn't wait at the hotel lobby throughout that time. I walked around, got something to eat then at 2pm and 6pm I came back to the hotel to see if a room was ready.

This was a very unpleasant experience. I checked in earlier than normal time so just left my luggage and went out for a late lunch and then came back. All of a sudden, the front desk staff told me that they had an unexpected overbook and you were arranged to another hotel next to us. That’s all the explanation they gave to me. The other hotel has nice staffs but its rating was much lower than the one I booked. I talked with the manager but he was indifferent and just kept telling me that he didn’t know because his manager did it and started arguing with me. Though I got refund finally but you know that’s not the most important for a traveler. My entire trip was affected by this unexpected and extremely unhappy experience.

Great location clean nice hotel in Chelsea area. It is on the wholesale floral street very nice floral view during daytime. Close distance to the Red and Yellow 28th Street subway stations. Penn Station is nearby convenient if needed. Stayed last year came back to this location again. Will come back if visit nyc.

The location is very walkable to many New York sites. The staff was very friendly. We were on the 2nd floor and it was very noisy outside. The street is filled with flower shops and the trucks begin dropping off flowers around 3 am.

It was lovely, right in the flower district. All of the shopkeepers and delivery people were super cheery and friendly. Two subway lines within a block or two. Walkable to Highline, Herald Square area (Macy's, Empire) great restaurants nearby, great price! We will be back.

Decent location in Chelsea. Small room, but that's standard in NYC. All New York hotels seem to be doing a thing where they don't clean the rooms daily unless you request. This started during covid and it's clearly more a cost saving measure more than anything. We requested more soap, but it was never delivered. Had to request a second time. Staff were a mixed bag. Some were great and others less so. Rooftop patio that is open during good weather but the food options were SO limited, it wasn't worth dining there. Room itself was alright. Beds and pillows were pretty comfy and the A/C worked well. Bathroom was lacking...the toilet paper holder wasn't affixed properly to the wall, chip out of the sink counter and no body wash in shower...there was shampoo, conditioner and a space for body wash, but instead there was another shampoo put in backwards, as though it was being hidden so you didn't see what it was. We also had to request more towels, because although the room accommodates four people, it was really only set up for two. Parking is offsite and so loading and unloading the car on the crowded street out front is stressful, BUT the parking cost is cheaper than other hotels in the area, so I guess that's the trade off. I would consider staying here again, but I wouldn't jump to do so, if that makes sense.

Cambria has a great rooftop view where you can enjoy dinner and some cocktails. I do wish the kitchen was available in their lower level lounge area, however. The staff here are friendly and professional though. Our stay was comfortable, but the bathroom is really small! That's the only complaint I would have about it! Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel!

We enjoyed our stay at the Cambria Chelsea. The staff was top notch and always willing to accommodate any needs. We used their car service to and from the airport. Service was great and less expensive than a cab or Uber. Only drawbacks to the property is the lack of coffee service on site. In room coffee was terrible and in order to get good coffee, a walk down to a neighboring hotel was necessary. Other than that - this was a very good option for NYC lodging!

I booked this room because it had 2 queen beds and we are a party of 4. The room was super clean. Check in was fast and easy. We had a hiccup and had to drive, so, we had to park a car. They have a "deal" with a parking garage that is $62 per night which is crazy expensive for me. The sink is super small which was inconvenient for 4 people in a room. The shower door made a horrendous squeaky noise that woke up the whole room anytime someone used it. At check-in, I was charged on two different credit cards. I made the reservation through Expedia with one credit card. At check-in, they asked for another credit card as my reservation was pay upon arrival. There was no notice that I would be charged on the original credit card as the front desk person suggested when I complained. I got notice from my credit card companies that the hotel placed a "hold" on both on my credit cards which held up my credit for the entirety of my visit. I tried to talk to a manager, but they did not seem to understand the actual problem of holding up my credit. When the room was cleaned, they only left enough towels for 2 people. This is a pet peeve of mine as it is a room for 4, so, why would you leave only 2 towels? The location was super convenient to the subway! I feel the rooftop would've been amazing in warmer weather. There was a "deli" place around the corner that I got a "cheap" breakfast from and it was delicious. The best part of the hotel for me was the bag check!

Friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff. Great ground level patio seating areas in the front and back of the hotel. Rooftop patio offered a view of One World Trade Center and it was nice that you could go up there just to sit or get drink from the bar if you wish. Convenient location: Plenty of food options. Walkable distance from several attractions - Times Square, Chelsea Market, Empire State Building. Steps away from the subway entrance to the line bringing you to the WTC. Only heads up I'd give is that the sofa bed is not really a sleepable bed. No mattress/cushion so you are just kind of lying on the underside of a couch. Ended up folding up and sleeping on the narrow couch instead. Would recommend this property.
