It is obvious the owners are making investments. The paint looked fresher, there was boxes in the hall for new furniture (and a sign notifying customers of the room upgrades in progress). Our room specifically was clean. Sheets were clean, the bed well inspected btly us and no concerns of pests. Our room smelled clean, aka like nothing. Felt like a few standard things were missing, minor stuff like a towel bar for the hand towel, the holder for the TP was missing the insert. For 3 people they didn't stock enough towels, but I didn't ask for more, we made due. The halls in the first floor and 3rd floor overwhelmingly smelled like puke. Frat house likely smell LESS of whatever was going on there. When we opened our door it hit us every time. But again... obvious they are working to improve. For the price, it was a great place to stay. If the price stays competitive after renovation, I'd consider staying again if ever back in the area.
