We stopped in quick before flying home. It was a good location and the staff was helpful but seemed a little short staffed. Parking cost a fortune but we got in really late with a toddler and didn’t want to deal with it so we paid. Overall it was a really nice place and we would stay here again.

Great location for visiting all the major DC attractions. Easy access to multiple metro lines. Rooftop bar closed early despite hours posted and front desk information when checking in. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was amazing! Would stay here again; would just know not to plan on coming back to the hotel for a nighttime drink or snack due to the unreliable hours of the rooftop bar.

Great location in downtown DC. This property is a 10 min walk to the White House and the Metro. Hotel is clean. Area feels safe. Staff is kind and polite. Parking is steep at $74 per night (includes tax). I would stay here again.

Very clean and great location. Staff was very professional and pleasant. Only suggestion for improvement is to have at least two valet attendants. They only had one and it took about 40 mins for him to bring our car since there were 3 groups in front of us. He was super nice and efficient but when there is only one they can only do so much.

The Rooftop bar was closed for special events most of the time and one evening it was open to hotel guests - they would not let us in with the doors locked..and it was only 8:30pm. Kind of a bummer since this was one of the reasons we picked htis hotel. Never got to enjoy it while staying at the hotel.

There is not parking so you are forced to pay valet parking which is $72 per night.. that’s crazy! The room was almost $200 a night so you are really paying closer to $300! The shower was not clean, dusty in the room and the beds were not the best. Also with almost $300 per night.. breakfast is not included. The person checking us in was so rude.

Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Included mini refrigerator in-room and the sofa bed was actually comfortable. Housekeeping and front office staff were professional and helpful. We would return to this hotel if/when we’re in the area.

Convenient hotel located next to public transit. Hallway was quite loud; could hear housekeeping repeatedly slamming doors in the morning. Room was clean. Had no outdoor view and there was cling film on the window so I could not see outside.

Our room backed up to a gentlemans club. The music was loud and wall vibrated until 2 am. I am shocked that they have a hotel room backed up to this club which is open every night. The rest of the hotel was booked, so we couldn't change rooms. The rest of accommodations were fine, but the noise was unacceptable. I will not stay in a Hyatt again for this reason. I might never book with Expedia again either since using a third party limits the options to charge rooms or cancel.

Good location, and our room was big enough for the family. Trouble-free bathroom/shower area. The Expedia rate does NOT cover breakfast, which was then $11/person. The room air conditioner was very loud and rattley, right next to the sliding glass bathroom door, so that rattled too.

My room was very noisy with the ventilation system. I read in previous reviews after I booked it with the same problem. It’s like a loud bathroom fan that doesn’t stop. And they have a rooftop lounge area which I was told to vacate because I had a beer that I brought from my room and couldn’t be there since I didn’t buy it from bar, but I paid for the room and ALL amenities that comes with it. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was better than expected. Mike’s service was priceless; offering recommendations on things to do, since so many activities were closed due the shutdown. The room was clean, no complaints or issues. Hotel location was very convenient- close enough to walk to monuments and ustreet and 14th street. The food offered at the bar was also pretty good, especially the pizza. Would recommend.

Extremely friendly front desk staff. Every member always greeted us and was willing to assist, no matter what the request was. This location is also very convenient and easy to find. We felt safe and secure as well. Check in and check out process was convenience and we were able to walk to the metro easily.

When we book the room we ask for early check in. We had an autism baby with us that needs urgent medication . We didn't check in till past 3pm. When we check in the room our luggage wasn't delivered to the room. I call the front desk and she told me to come down and pick it up. These is too much. I really had a bad experience. In this hotel. I will never ever comeback again. I will never recommend this hotel to a friends and families .

This hotel was excellent! The staff was phenomenal- went above and beyond for customer service! They made great recommendations for nearby food, and places that deliver. The breakfast is amazing- not just a run of the mill waffle maker and yogurt. They offer yummy options that change slightly day to day with some standard staples like yogurt, fruit, and cereal. The hotel itself is well appointed and in a great location. My two teens and I shared the King Suite which had a couch, and the space was perfect for us. Location wise It’s about a 5 minute walk to the nearest Metro station, about 2 blocks to the White House, and plenty of parks and food nearby. The area is clean, and safe. The only two (very minor) negatives I can say is that one of the hotel elevators was out of order during our stay. Overall, the only time it was an issue was first thing in the morning. Second- it’s directly next door to a gentlemen’s club. However- we never had any issues related to that even when out and about at nighttime. Just some guests may be more sensitive to that than others.

Terrible terrible terrible Got to the front Desk around 9:30 pm 7/9/24, sat there waiting for someone to help me for 20mins. Finally shows up. Get checked in to the room, go up and settle in only to find out A/C is not working. Go back down and ask about it. Got told engineers have been working on it, no other solutions no room change nothen. So here we are a 78 degree room that we paid $400 and some change for with no solution. Not very happy with the stay and will not stay again.

I can't say enough good things about the staff at the Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House. We arrived quite early (long before check in at 7:00 am) and the staff gave us access to a bathroom on the 2nd floor, stored our luggage for us, and even told us we could enjoy the complimentary breakfast even though we weren't official guests. During our stay I encountered a medical scare and had to go the emergency room in the middle of the night. The front desk attendee on the evening of 10/8/23 kept me calm ( I was hysterical) and waited outside with me at the curb while my uber arrived to take me to the hospital offering to call 911 one for me. On our last day we checked out of the hotel and explored the city and once again upon our return to grab our luggage were offered the key to use the restroom one last time before heading out. Everyone was always so nice and the hotel itself really was the BEST location, and we loved the layout of the room.

We had a fantastic stay at Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the White House and close to restaurants, cafes, and museums. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always helpful with directions and recommendations. Our room was spacious, enough for 5 people, clean, and well-designed with a comfortable bed and a great workspace. Breakfast had plenty of fresh options, and the rooftop bar offered an amazing view of the city. I’ll definitely choose this hotel again next time I’m in DC.

From the moment we drove up to the hotel, there was only complete courtesy and friendly faces. Couldn't believe how easy the check-in was. And then, the hotel is only blocks from the White House. Perfectly located! Can't wait to come back.

Very nice hotel. Nice clean room, no unwanted surprises. Nice breakfast buffet ( was not included at our rate, was $11 per person). About two - three blocks from White House, one block from Metro Stop. Nice safe area.

Location, cleanliness, value, friendly staff and great complementary breakfast to start the day! Short easy walk to the White House and a Metro station to go anywhere you want for DC site seeing. Nice rooftop space to wind down the day with a sunset view. Plus, quality housekeeping reminiscent of pre-COVID days. Unmatched rate/value compared to other nearby hotels.
