Silver Sands Motel

We had a little trouble communicating with the owner but once we were able to get ahold of her everything was great. The room was cute and it is in a perfect location. The bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. Overall it was a great stay Just don't try to call the hotel number, they never answer.

room smelled moldy, room was dirty, plug outlets hanging out the wall and or taped off could not get ahold of staff pool was dirty pillows had what looked like blood stains on them air conditioner need serviced or something it was very noisy and had mold spurs on it and had some weird guy who looked like he lived there was what appeared to be fondling himself outside his door when we pulled up the only positive was it was close to the ocean asked how to check out got no response so I texted the number and said we was checked out and left the key where the left it for us if I could have got a refund I absolutely would have gone elsewhere but could not

Very cute efficiency in a great location

Very very odd place to stay the location was good that’s why I chose it. Beyond that first July 3rd nobody was even in the office for check in. Never an email or text prior to check to call or text any number. A couple in the pool said hello I said hey and do you know where office. Said down there but nobody is there didn’t someone text you about the room I said no. They said there is a number on the door. I called no answer 6 mins later responded by text. Asking for pic of drivers license and picture of car…by the time of back and forth was close to 20 mins of screwing around past check in. Finally said key was inside room unlocked can’t make this up! I knew room was outdated for price was willing to ignore obviously. Looked around checked out went to put a couple waters in feeezer. Half eaten pb and j sandwich frozen solid super strange. Debris on ground nothing crazy but was told in text housekeeper left key in room. Nobody cleaned the room it was pretty obvious. Checked shower multiple walls had hair on them. Also debris on bathroom floor as I walked in. Then bed stains were on sheets how much do sheets cost….disgusting. Just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean you don’t clean and leave it in shabby shape. I had to stay since nothing else under $400 a night since it was a holiday. Would never stay here again. Poor service dirty and run down you get what you pay for lesson learned. looks like fake reviews that I read before booking !
