During our recent stay at Dreamtel, we experienced a mix of positives and negatives that are worth sharing. Firstly, the room itself was big enough for us and clean, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment. We were also treated to a lovely view, which added to our overall enjoyment. The hotel’s location is good, conveniently situated. Really close walk to Earls Court station. However, the breakfast was a letdown. It was only highlighted on the day that the restaurant was not open and needed repairs, so only room service was available. The food was cold and overly greasy, which did not make for a pleasant start to our day. Additionally, we encountered a significant issue during the night when our radiator began making an extremely loud noise, abruptly waking us up. It was disruptive enough that we had to call a staff member to come and fix it in the middle of the night. While the night staff was responsive and resolved the radiator issue, the incident did detract from our overall experience. The day staff were okay but seemed extremely unbothered by any issues we had. With some improvements in the breakfast service and maintenance, Dreamtel has the potential to provide a much more enjoyable stay.

This property was listed on Expedia as accessible with a lift. As a mobility scooter user I booked expecting to be able to get into the building. On arrival it transpired that the lift they have is inside the building with no way to actually get inside! Luckily my mobility scooter folds, it caused a great deal of pain but having arrived late on a Friday night and with a 12 year old with me I had little choice but to stay as Expedia refused to book me elsewhere without the approval of the manager who wasn’t due back in until Monday. The rooms are tiny, dirty and the air con (in 2 different rooms) didn’t work. Very hot, uncomfortable stay. Honestly I’ll be sticking with travelodge / premier inn after this terrible experience.

Actually there were one significant thing that I wanted to mention about our staying there. We were at this hotel for 4 nights and we did not have any internet connection and they told us it would be solved quickly but nothing happened. So it was really disappointing.

Clean hotel with easy access to the tube and everything around London had a lovely stay. Only down side was the breakfast and the fact the lift wasn’t working so we had to carry our suitcase up 5 flights of stairs. Also decor abit dated.

AVOID Upon entry to the hotel I knew we were in for a bad ride. The smell of damp hits you and the creaky stairs to the room had seen better days. But we were only staying one night and I know London is expensive so kept an open mind. Quickly realised our bedroom backed onto a railway track and then found pubic hairs in our bath - so I hate to think when the room was last cleaned. But again, it was late and we needed a bed so made the most of it. In the morning breakfast was limited and cold - absolutely inedible. I went to reception and told them of all of the issues and was told no problem - we can issue you a refund. MONTHS LATER and despite chasing twice, no refund has been issued. Honestly avoid like the plague. I had to fork out £180 for a dirty noisy damp room with an inedible breakfast and lying management.

The hotel was clean and the location was very good, close to underground, shops and restorants. I am not happy of the room we got as I have paid for Double superior room and the person form the hotel gave me a standard double. The excuse was that there isn't another bigger room, as other people did the check in earlier. The check in was starting from 2pm and we did the check in at 2ish pm. Basically they gave our room to someone else and then we ended in a standard room. The person didn't really care about the situation. I wasn't happy of this service. But the hotel is good and it is great value for the money.

The room given had a flight of about 10 to steps down as you open the door to the room. Not ideal if you have luggage. Bathroom was moldy and wouldn't drain, and hair was floating out of the drain. Breakfast was horrible. It was billed as a complete breakfast and all that was available was dripped coffee, hard boiled eggs some defrosted pastries and augar loaded cereals. I stayed here 4x before and somethings have drastically changed for the worse. Not the same amenities. I felt bad for the front desk staff as they seemed to be dealing with a great deal of complaints.

Don’t waste your money….too many better options. Stayed for 2 nights…. The front desk staff was not friendly but Alexandra was especially unpleasant. We were supposed to get two bottles of water in the room and didn’t. When we asked about it….Alexandra was extremely rude and said there was nothing she could do about it. TV didn’t work and she said there was nothing she could do about it. Rooms were very small. On the positive side, the hotel was cheap, located a block away from Earls court tube stop, and room was clean. I guess you get what you pay for….if you like rude front desk staff then this is the place for you!

The hotel put us in a basement room crammed very small with low ceiling, my son and partner are both 6 ft tall, air conditioning very old and loud, and damp with blown walls. Transferred to new room with an unclean bath. Pubic hair found on floor and bath. No pillow liners. Air con again old couldn’t have it on it was too loud so room was hot and stuffy. Staff were very sombre and uninviting. We complained to the front desk about the air con and was met with a near aggressive response. Not their problem get on with it attitude. Generally the hotel looked old , tired and dated. So were the staff. Personally it was awful it was not an enjoyable experience. Did not have a good sleep. I would like to request a full refund. £136 for one night in a place like that is extortionate. I will not recommend this hotel. On leaving I asked for a complaint form and was told they did not have any not good practice. I hope that you look into this further. I have booked many a wonderful holiday and breaks with Expedia and was quite shocked you would have this hotel on your site. The hotel advertising is very misleading, and it doesn’t say that trains will start running from 5.00am right passed your bedroom. Kind regards, Sara Glenister

Positive: The hotel is situated in Earl‘s Court/ Kensington/ London. The underground and various amenities are close by. Negative: The rooms are very, very tiny as well as the bathrooms and the beds. The whole hotel needs definitely some refurbishment as the rooms/ bathrooms are not in good conditions. There’s is mould in the bathroom, wallpaper comes off the wall and is partly dirty, as well as the furnitures are partly in a bad condition. On top, the air conditioner wasn’t working, we had a power blackout and warm water wasn’t running partially. Furthermore the rooms are dirty and the cleaning staff seems only to do their job superficially. Besides the filthiness, the hotel has a serious problem with rodents. In the two rooms we’ve booked we had mice. Even though we complained nothing changed nor problems were tackled. If you happen to have a room to the front, the view and noise is okay but if you get a room to the back you look directly to the tracks of the underground and trains. The noise is unbearable. The breakfast is very simple and offers no alternatives. It is always the same day after day. We definitely do not recommend booking this hotel. It’s far from good and very expensive for this kind of “value”.

The staff on arrival were very welcoming and helped me with some directions when I wanted to visit the natural history museum. I was on the top floor and was next to the rail tracks so I didn't have a very quiet stay. Unfortunately I did need to keep the window open as it was very hot in the room which meant I had to chose between heat or noise. Room was very small but was ok for what I needed for one night. Very dusty and some cracks and holes in the walls. Bathroom again ok but did find some hairs in the shower. Wouldn't stay again.

Room was a little on the small side bathroom struggled with the sink in the way to get to the toilet. Outside our window was a refrigeration unit for the air conditioning that was loud. Area was lovely to where we needed to be and hotel was nice from outside. Staff where lovely and pleasant.

Nice hotel. Tiny tiny rooms. Had a bath and a shower. Bath plug didnt actually work as it slowly let the water out. Disappointed on that part. Staff are helpful. Lift needs the lights on the buttons redone as they dont light up unless you hit them in the right spot. Didnt try breakfast. Hotel is right next to tracks, which i didnt know when booking. Would i go back? Probably not

It is what it is, cheap for london near a major metro station and short walk to Kensington museum district, if your bothered by loud noise avoid at all cost the rooms are right above the district line and you hear every train.

The hotel is very conveniently located very close the the underground station. The room was small but sufficient and I have to say very clean. Nice and clean. No elevator - bad for Many. No Maps and No uppdated info at reception to get and the guys - men that work are very non-intersted in givning service and that little extra . I am not happy of the room we got as I have paid for Double superior room and the person form the hotel gave me a standard double. The excuse was that there isn't another bigger room, as other people did the check in earlier. The check in was starting from 2pm and we did the check in at 2ish pm. Basically they gave our room to someone else and then we ended in a standard room. The person didn't really care about the situation. I wasn't happy of this service. But the hotel is good and it is great value for the money.

We were supposed to get two bottles of water in the room and didn’t. When we asked about it….Alexandra was extremely rude and said there was nothing she could do about it. During our recent stay at Dreamtel, we experienced a mix of positives and negatives that are worth sharing. It was disruptive enough that we had to call a staff member to come and fix it in the middle of the night. The day staff were okay but seemed extremely unbothered by any issues we had. With some improvements in the breakfast service and maintenance, Dreamtel has the potential to provide a much more enjoyable stay.

Needed a room for one night whilst attending an event at the Royal Albert Hall. Found this hotel through Hotels.com for less than £100 for the night. The location was perfect, 2 minute walk from Earls Court tube station and a 20 minute walk from the Albert Hall. I stayed for 3 nights in June the hotel is well located especially for The Royal Albert Hall and Museums. I read the reviews and they seemed to have some petty comments, I was glad to ignore them !! OK the room is small but its London and there is so much to do I doubt people spend much time in their rooms. I felt secure in both the hotel and the area, which has great amenities. I would return if I were visiting the area again. Thanks

AVOID Upon entry to the hotel I knew we were in for a bad ride. The smell of damp hits you and the creaky stairs to the room had seen better days. But we were only staying one night and I know London is expensive so kept an open mind. Quickly realised our bedroom backed onto a railway track and then found pubic hairs in our bath - so I hate to think when the room was last cleaned. But again, it was late and we needed a bed so made the most of it. In the morning breakfast was limited and cold - absolutely inedible. I went to reception and told them of all of the issues and was told no problem - we can issue you a refund. MONTHS LATER and despite chasing twice, no refund has been issued. Honestly avoid like the plague. I had to fork out £180 for a dirty noisy damp room with an inedible breakfast and lying management.

The room given had a flight of about 10 to steps down as you open the door to the room. Not ideal if you have luggage. Bathroom was moldy and wouldn't drain, and hair was floating out of the drain. Breakfast was horrible. It was billed as a complete breakfast and all that was available was dripped coffee, hard boiled eggs some defrosted pastries and augar loaded cereals. I stayed here 4x before and somethings have drastically changed for the worse. Not the same amenities. I felt bad for the front desk staff as they seemed to be dealing with a great deal of complaints.

The location in relation to Earl Court underground station is great (about 100 meters), but the room we had was small, also the bathroom. It was difficult to be two people in the room without bumping into each other when moving around. The TV didn't work and even though we told the reception nothing was done. The room as a whole seems somewhat run down, but the breakfast was perfect with everything you could want, and in nice surroundings. All the staff at the hotel were nice.

Amazing staying in Earls Court . This hotel is located very close to the tube station of Earls Court , 5 minutes walking. I be booked a deluxe room , it was nice decorated with a kettle to prepare tea or coffee. The bed was very comfortable . Delicious English breakfast in the morning with a great selection of hot and cold food, thanks in particular to Julia who prepared for me the last day a special omelette .
