Metropolis Loft - CN Tower

Fantastic location, 3 minutes walk from the CN Tower. Accommodation good, well equipped kitchen. Slightly annoying that you could not turn the fans off on the bathrooms, particularly the en-suite. The massive downside is the lifts. I knew from reading the reviews that this was an issue, but what I wasn’t expecting was 2 out of the 3 low rise lifts not working and no sign of them being repaired in the 6 days we were there. Took 40 minutes to leave on our last day

Our stay at Life Loft Suites was overall a great experience with a few small issues. The location was the main reason for selecting this stay and it was incredibly central to everywhere we wanted to walk to. 10 minute walk to CN tower or Queen Street. The rooftop pool was lovely and heated with a great view of the CN tower and Rogers Center. We wish we had an update on the hot tub being closed prior to stay rather than a "might be unavailable". We loved how the stay seemed private, a very quiet building with easy check-in. We did find a few issues with amenities, for example, while there was washer and dryer available, there was no detergent or dryer sheets. The body wash provided was also low quality, I'd recommend getting your own shower products. The bed was not comfortable, it seemed to have issues with the mattress/box spring as well as the frame. The bed would rock, if you were on the edge it was like a see-saw and felt like you were going to fall off. So our sleeps were impacted. This should definitely be replaced. Under the fitted sheet, we discovered at the end our trip that there was lots of dirt, hair, which was not from us. No outlets in the kitchen so to make tea I had to set up the kettle on the floor near the table and chairs. I would consider staying again as long as the amenities were improved slightly and the beds were replaced/nicer quality.

Fantastic location for plays, ball games, CN Tower and Ripley’s. Close to restaurants. Hot tub not working. Parking instructions and ok but signage poor. We had to circle block during end of day traffic. Would hesitate to stay again when we return for downtown activities. Good value

The hotel offered a stunning view and a remarkably quiet atmosphere throughout the building. While the check-in process felt a bit awkward and unusual at first, this minor hiccup was quickly overshadowed by an overwhelmingly positive experience. The standout feature was undoubtedly the gym – impeccably equipped, spotlessly clean, and professionally designed. Without a doubt, I’ll choose this hotel again for my next trip to Toronto.

The apartment was clean and well appointed. It was comfortable and felt safe. Staff were friendly and the location was great. However there was one functioning elevator. Wait times for the elevator were 20 - 40 minutes and the elevator was often jammed full of people with suitcases. Before making a reservation here I strongly suggest that you check to see if the other elevators have been repaired yet. It made planning impossible.

There is an issue with the elevators. We were stuck in them for 40 minutes on the evening we arrived.

The parking was very confusing for a first time visitor. I wanted to stay longer, but couldn’t figure out how to make a garage reservation.

Spacious, modern rooms. Very clean. Washer and dryer in the suite was a HUGE plus. Rooftop pool was clean and had ample seating. Check-in was simple, parking was easy to access, and many Toronto destinations were in walking distance (Ripley's, CN Tower, HHoF, etc)

The big issue is there was only 1 elevator out of three working.

Apartment was dirty, especially the bathroom and bed sheets.

We recently visited the property and unfortunately found the unit in an unsatisfactory condition. There were visible signs of mold and cobwebs, and overall, the space did not appear to be clean. While the location itself was excellent, the interior condition significantly impacted our experience. We were especially concerned to discover evidence of prior water damage, which seemed to contribute to a persistent odor and active mold growth. There was noticeable swelling in the baseboards, lower cabinetry, and flooring — all of which suggest unresolved moisture issues. This made it difficult for my wife to feel comfortable staying overnight, and we were both deeply disappointed by the condition of the unit.

Clean cozy room!

The condo was spotless, well appointed and perfectly located for downtown Toronto attractions. We had a great view of the CN Tower, Roger’s Centre and a glimpse of the lake from our balcony.

Would never stay here again. Check in was disorganized. Room was in terrible shape. Mattress was so soft I sank in. Pillows were poor quality. Towels were pilled and super thin. Floor had bubbles from water damage. Cabinets were falling apart. Door handle for shower was loose. No bath mat for shower. Floor was very slippery. Carpet in hallway was coming up. Overall poor experience especially considering the huge ticket price. Location was great however

The property is in beautiful excellent location, very accessible and has almost everything around it. The suite was not cleaned properly, it was dust almost everywhere, the bedroom carpet was dirty and ripped and some of the linnets were not cleaned.

Wasn't so clean. A sock was on the floor and a plastic bag in the washing-machine! The parking was expensive!

Terrible! The room wasn't clean. Specially the washroom. One Security person was really rude with us and the people in the pool. Terrible experience!

Overall the stay was great and the location was centrally located to anything you want to do in the city. However, the temperature of the room was very uncomfortable due to not being able to adjust the thermostat. It was 87 degrees in the room. We contacted the office and they sent us instructions that basically said temperature can’t be adjusted and if it’s too warm in the room open a window or door. We had to leave our balcony door open our entire 3 night stay which was not a great solution since we were in the middle of the city, so it was very loud, and also there were other tenants smoking etc. on their balconies, so their smells were coming into our room. Would have been a better, more comfortable stay if we or someone who worked there could have adjusted the temperature of the room.

Clean room, well-appointed, amazing downtown location. The staff was very responsive by text. It's a bit small but certainly bigger than a typical hotel room.

The suite was clean and quite nice but the bed was so uncomfortable I didn’t sleep at all.

The place was a great location. It was clean for most part. Loved the kitchenette area. The heat in the place was unbearable. We barely slept. We turned the thermostat off and it was still 29 degrees in there. We were told to just open the patio door. We did that for day and it still was 27 degrees. We would book again but cant due to heat issue. It was awful.

Nice location although noisy at night! Awful bed, the mattress was horrible. Infact there was a mattress on top of a mattress. Yes, you are reading it right, bed base, a mattress on top and another mattress stacked on top! It was like being on a bouncy castle (of course without sleep).

The sofa bed was horrifically uncomfortable. The main bed was incredibly noisy and also fairly uncomfortable. Many of the building amenities were under construction. The pool was very nice. The location was unbearable. Check in and check out were convenient.

the heating system was set at 30 and i could not getbit from full heat or get the temp to lower .the down button did not lower the setting . the aircoditioner was turned off . everything else very good

First of all, they did attempt to offer assistance, but due to timing and the nature of their operation we were unable to connect on property to rectify my main issue. Positives Good communication from operators, clean unit, location was ideal for my business needs, kitchen availability, wifi. Value! Main issue- the bed (mattress) was extremely uncomfortable, hard, lumpy, with springs felt through the top. Highly suggest replacing said mattress. Other more minor issues: curtains that did not provide adequate coverage for light blocking, small shower with missing shelf had to keep cleansing items on shower floor, lack of flexible HVAC due to building and time of year forced to have sliding door open, which of course made it extremely loud especially with the sporting events taking place in the area. I would stay here again of the bed issue was addressed.

The concierge team was great!

Our experience at Life Suites Toronto was confusing and disappointing from start to finish. The property presents itself as a hotel on Expedia, but it’s really an apartment-style setup with no clear signage, no reception, and minimal support from on-site staff. The address listed online didn’t match the building, making check-in unnecessarily stressful. Once there, the elevators were broken or painfully slow, and guests were told to take outside stairwells with luggage. Rooms were inconsistent in quality, noisy, and poorly maintained, and the amenities like the gym and water fountains were either closed or nonfunctional. For a company that books multiple stays a year, this level of confusion and neglect is unacceptable. We won’t be returning and will advise our team to look elsewhere for future Toronto accommodations.

Actual unit was very nice. Clean and comfortable. Check in process was clunky and lacking communication. When checking in I received a link for instructions which only worked once. When attempting to pull up during actual check in the link didn’t work. It took my family 20 minutes to figure out where to go. Since this isn’t a traditional hotel, the “front desk” is a security desk with staff that is only partially responsible for hotel. They were not friendly. We showed up 40 minutes prior to check in and were told we needed to pay a fee to check in early. We just waited at a restaurant across the street. I understand that is part of their black and white policy, but it wasn’t handled in a professional or friendly way. The actual unit was nice but overall service is lacking and doesn’t reflect the price or hotel star rating.

There was nothing wrong with the property itself. The check-in process was painfully lengthy and difficult. It was unpleasant and uncertain, very frustrating.

Me sentí sorprendida ya que en la información de origen no mencionan nada de dejar un depósito y no me informaron que me iban a retener un depósito por el monto de una noche, mismo que aún no me devuelven desde el pasado 22 de diciembre. Mi estancia fue solo una noche. Tampoco me gustó que el check in fuera hasta las 4pm siendo que mi vuelo llegó en la mañana y me ofrecieron pagar una noche adicional para acceder a un check in temprano cuando en hoteles en Toronto del nivel del Sheraton Centre me permitieron hacer el check in a las 10am sin costo en días posteriores que regresé de Quebec. Las cadenas hoteleras permiten hacer el check in temprano sin costo adicional o bien te cuidan tu equipaje, cosas que no sucede en este tipo de inmuebles.

Room Thermostat did not function properly. Limited parking and inconvenient access to room from parkade no direct access. Very poor communication, no concierge.

Stayed by myself and it was a good size. Location was good, with attractions nearby. Check in was straight forward, however, I had booked, paid in advance and provided credit card details for a security deposit before I left Australia. A few days prior to arriving the hotel required confirmation of the security deposit, which was difficult as my credit card wasn't linked to my roaming contact details. There was no option to do this another way. I was able sort with help from family at home, but would have been challenging without that.

Good, The email response to my inquiry was prompt, and the check-in instructions were clear and reassuring.

A lovely suite with washer dryer. Had all amenities. Was a bit worn and one of the chairs was dirty. Communication shared in advance via an app. If you areive early there is nowhere to leave your luggage.

We really like this apartment. It is right next to the CN Tower. It’s just such a great location everywhere you need to go is easily walkable and or you could take an Uber with cheap prices. A great weekend stay

Check-in was easy and quick, underground parking was especially appreciated. Helpful staff downstairs. The view on the CN Tower and Rogers Centre is amazing. Walking distance from litterally everywhere downtown. Very clean, apart from the balcony that was filthy. Comfortable bed and sofa bed. Cable TV. Well-stocked and functioning kitchen, although we could have used more dishes. Chairs and some doors were rickety. Overall great place, recommend!

Great location right downtown by many attractions. Place was a little bare boned if you plan on trying to cook meals there, but very clean and easy access.

You provided organized communication and easy check in / checkout process. The place was clean, put together and we appreciated the coffee extras in the morning!

This was a great find. The place is decent and clean. A few negatives — they only give you one key. So if someone wants to go to the gym and another person wants to go for a walk, you have to coordinate it. It would be nice to have codes. Or at least two keys. The other negative was the elevator. One elevator was down when we arrived. Two were down when we left. We waited about 15 minutes for an elevator when we were checking out. The room was well equipped and well stocked. The conditioner was hard to use — kind of stuck in the dispenser. This location is very close to Rogers Centre and there is a great little locally owned grocery store a 5 minute walk away called Rabba. There are many restaurants within easy walking distance. The exercise room was great. The water was turned off the morning of our departure which changed our plans a bit but we managed. We received notice of this the day before. It certainly was not ideal. It did not seem like it was a 1190 square foot apartment. But there were ample storage and closets so maybe with all of that it was. We had 3 adults in a 2 bedroom 2 bath premium apartment and it was a little tight especially in the living room. The living room couch was not very comfortable. The tv did not have cable but it was a smart tv. Wifi was easy to get into and worked fine. Good communication. Check in and check out were seamless.

If you are staying for an event at rogers center, the location cant be beat. Upgraded for a view of the CN tower. The balcony also allowed to to feel the vibe of the event at rogers as people start descending. The condo itself could use a facelift. The appliances and kitchen ware all seemed cheap, so if using it for the kitchen you might be lacking a few things (dish towels, paper towels). The bed could also use an upgrade. In saying that, i would not hesitate to stay here again, location couldnt be beat

For short stays this property would be ideal. For longer stays (we were there three weeks) the kitchen facilities were barely adequate, not enough counter space to prep meals. Other than that minor inconvenience we had a nice stay and the owners were responsive.

The property is as a great location. Super close to CN tower, Ripleys as well as Roger’s Center. Walkable to union station hockey hall of fame. Only downfall was there no laundry detergent or dish cloths but we made it work. Would highly recommend this property.

What a beautiful suite with a balcony overlooking the city! Wall to floor windows in the living room and bedroom. Great price, and WOW right across the street from Rogers Centre! And a Starbucks being on the first floor was a definite plus!
