Lancaster Hotel

Great hotel. Easy to find. Plenty of parking available. Room was clean and tidy with a well stocked tea tray and complimentary toiletries, bed was comfortable. Free Wi-Fi and a great good quality, plentiful, breakfast served in the morning. There is a bar and they serve evening meals, but I did not use either so cannot comment. All in all, a great hotel, will definitely be back.

The room (small double) was very functional, exactly what you'd expect for the price paid. I didn't expect much and had little in the way of surprise as a result. The en-suite was a bit brutal, and I had a shower in the evening that left the shower dripping all night. Luckily the blast door kept out most of that noise. The spa was fully booked when I arrived but after some pleading I was told they'd call me if a space became available, which eventually it did. That was very relaxing - a warm jacuzzi, a plunge pool, a sauna and a steam room. The bed was fine, though the 11pm fire alarm didn't help my sleep. My only major issue was that something bit me overnight and I don't know quite what it was.

After hours (10pm) this 'hotel' doesn't work and is impossible to get into your room. The keys are left at security but finding the security office is like finding a needle in a haystack. The security staff are the most unhelpful I have ever come across and kept telling to drive to the pond and turn left. In the middle of the night and during the summer, the pond isn't visible. I drove around for over 30 minutes looking for the security desk and the two officer couldn't have been less helpful. I actually cancelled my last night because of their approach and found somewhere pleasant.

So disappointing. I booked 2 rooms as a surprise with 11 year olds clearly marked on the booking. Arrived and they couldn’t use the spa at all and one person did go in and the jacuzzi was broken. Such a shame as it ruined the trip.

Wi Fi was ok. Parking was ok but might be a challenge if it was busy Breakfast was good, buffet style. Room was as expected for location and budget

I arrived after 10.30pm so the reception was closed and had to go in search of a security room somewhere on Brunel university campus on foot to get a room key. I eventually found it after having to ring a few times telling security where I was and asking where do I go from there. The check in arrangements are terrible and it took me a long time to even get into the room, walking about in the dark looking for a security room some distance away wasn't good. I got checked into the room and the bathroom light was out so all washing and showering was done in the dark and there was no reception to speak to as it closed at 10.30pm. I emailed the hotel who said concerns had been addressed but I see through the reviews that other people have had problems with check in before and nothing was done. It just isn't a hotel.

Hard to find in the dark as the Hotel is within the University campus. Receptionist guided us in and explained the layout, room location and optional breakfast times. I could not fault the room or staff. 10 out of 10 from me.

The hotel was in a nice quiet area and noise was minimal. The majority of the staff were fantastic, a few struggled with communication issues. The spa facilities were nice although the steam room was not available, and as a small space it can get very loud if other guests are noisy. The dining facilities were excellent. The room was spacious with a large en suite and although air conditioning would have been beneficial it certainly wasn’t unbearable. The electric fan and mini fridge were certainly welcome additions. Overall a pleasant stay and I would return.

Paid for a premium room and it was exactly the same set up as the 'standard' room we got given last time only this time it was much more run down. The room was rather 'shabby'. The bathroom was dirty. The shower screen had green mould on it and trim falling off the bottim of the bath. We stayed on the third floor and it was almost unbearably hot. You could literally feel the heat as soon as you stepped out of the lift onto the corridor. The room had no air conditioning and only a small fan. We had to leave the window open and, as we were overlooking the courtyard, it was quite noisy early morning. The safe was absolutely pointless as it wasnt attached to anything and was so light it could just be picked up and put in a bag! During out 4 night stay, out room was nit serviced at all. No clean towels or bedding, no replenishment of shower products or toilet rolls. The restraunt menu is massively reduced from the one they advertise on line. On the plus side, the staff were all friendly and polite and the beds were comfortable. Parking is plentiful and free

No AC in rooms, shower was extremely small, mattress really hard, you can feel the springs. The staffs kindness made the stay pleasant but the condition of the room needs to improve and faucets cleaned/updated. The carpet had a couple stains that looked like blood.

Property was very good. Good parking. Felt safe. Nice staff. Decent shower. Excellent value for money. Only negative is the room smelt a little of tobacco smoke.

Lancaster hotel No signage anywhere on sig to direct visitors hotel, no address for gps, No help prior to arrival to guide visitors, as to location. Very small sign on building, no/ very unnoticeable signing, no indication that Athena would be a barricade / gate preventing travel on street to hotel no indication that I must call box to raise gate barricade. Dead bolt on door missing handle to use lock, Bed cover smelled of tobacco smoke Room was too hot, even with windows open - room did have fan but closet/ cabinet in which it was stored was broken, Elevator down call button on first floor not working Telephone handset volume so low it was inaudible, volume control on max Tiny room, Tiny TV, WiFi use monitored by university Human Receptionists were by helpful

We stay for 5 nights and our room was not regularly service or clean.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were amazing! Thank you for a lovely stay ☺️

Room was worn and dated bathroom light glass held in with plumbers silicone. Light fittings had switches removed and left open.

The property is not so elaborate but it has enough amenities for one’s comfort. The rooms are very clean and the environment is very quiet.

Really nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and tidy room with everything you would need. Very nice breakfast with a good selection of foods (kids loved the pastrys!) Unfortunately not the best night's sleep due to factors that are not really the hotels fault, it was a very very hot weekend and the room was absolutely boiling there was a fan in the room which we had on and the window open but as the hotel is situated in the grounds of the university (we didn't really realise this when booking) it was very noisy and had to shut the window which made it even hotter! As I said not really anyones fault and we only stayed for one night while visiting legoland and London. All in all a nice place to be with a easy walk into Uxbridge for the tube or food.

A very convenient overnight stop for an early Heathrow flight, but room small and basic.

The basic rooms are bad, very uncomfortable bed and bad nights sleep. However on raising this issue with the staff they were super accommodating and upgraded us to the next suite up which was very nice! If you are going to stay here it’s worth upgrading!

just not the best stay to be honest. Average hotel and the room was suffocating had to keep the windows fully open all night to let some air in. Bear in mind it was 7 degrees outside. Bedding had some stains. Sound proofing was not the best either. Shower head needs doing too. Plenty of other issues just dont have the time to right it up. upside was the staff, they were really pleasant to deal with with

The beds were comfy, but the rooms were uncomfortably hot. Shower head wouldnt stay up. Its also in the middle of Brunel University, like one of the halls of residence.

I was surprised to find the room had 2 king sized beds. Room was spacious with a large bathroom too. Also a fridge containing a smal freezer compartment was tucked away in the wardrobe. The only downside was no AC in the room and there was a lot of heat from the fridge. Luckily the window could be opened and a fan was available which was enough to cool the room down to an acceptable level.

Good value for money. Large room. Downside was very warm (even with both windows open and the fan on)

No air-conditioning and room was hot. Windows did not open, Fans were provided, but noisy and not very effective. Shower head weak - not very effective and floor became quite wet. Evening meal was very good - tasty and sufficient and nicely served.

Considering other reviews, I found it easy to locate, once you're through the entrance of the uni, the hotel is signposted. There's a few parking spaces outside. It was a bit noisy late at night but it's a Friday so we expected that. Our room was upgraded through VIP on hotels.com. Warm welcome. Parking by entering reg at reception. Had a drink in the bar, there's also a beer garden which was nice. Room had two double beds, a massive bathroom, was clean and spacious. It was hot, but you can open the window wide. No complaints, will stay again. Less than 15 minutes into town centre

Everything was good. The staff was really helpful and nice. One thing that we didn’t like was when we were sleeping. Mandy at 11am, someone that worked there, maybe the cleaners just opens our hotel door without knocking and just went right in until he saw us and closed the door. I think that they should at least knock before stumbling in too our room. The rooms were really nice tho and in average everything was great. A bit to far away from the centrum that’s a minus.

Nice quiet hotel on a college csmpus.

The price is reasonable especially for someone want to stay before flight at Heathrow. It is so convenient to take bus to airport which takes only 15 mins.

Easy to locate, all I needed for a one night stay after getting in FROM Heathrow. Very close to university campus.

Very nice and safe area. The hotel itself and the staff were great. Just a bit out of inner London so keep that in mind.

Location inside Brunel Uni makes it the perfect choice for parents visits.

Great value. Clean. Free and secure parking. Easy 20 minute walk to Uxbridge shopping and Tube station.

Perfectly located in the Brunel University complex, and a short walk from Uxbridge Town Centre. Ample Parking on site too and the Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable, and the room was nice, although quite warm. Overall a nice place to stay and would definitely recommend it.

Room was lovely but restaurant was not like we expected no choice for dinner and breakfast so slow in refilling breakfast items

Lovely staff. Lovely food from the restaurant which was very good value for money. The only disappointing aspect was the freezing cold shower!
