The driver was 30 mins late collecting us from the airport so we arrived as the electricity was switched off so no fan or power to charge the phones which was a little frustrating. Other than that, it is a great location to see Tikal and the guide was excellent. We ate lunch which was good. The room was basic but comfortable and had mosquito nets. The transfer van is comfortable and modern.

Staff was very friendly. Benjamin the waiter was very accommodating. Really close to Tikal national park entrance. Con: no outlets to charge your phone. There was one usb outlet but it wouldn’t charge my phone. Pool area is very nice and at sundown you can see the wild life such as monkeys on the trees.

Room was clean, plenty of hot water, pool area is relaxing and sunny. Very convenient short walk to Tikal trail entrance. Front desk staff speak English and were able to arrange guides for the sunrise & sunset tours. The on-site restaurant had a lot of options but the recipes were so-so and if we ordered anything that wasn’t on their portable iPad like sugar for coffee or some extra butter, it took 3-4 requests. Electricity shuts off at various times during the day including lastly at 9pm so be prepared for an early night. They do provide a schedule though. You can hear other guests talking in the next bungalow or outside your room, but since everyone goes to sleep early, it’s not too bad. Wi-fi is weak, but tolerable (took 15min to download a 1hr podcast). We chose this place because it had a pool and we heard Tikal was hot, but the weather was mild (mid-January) and the pool water was very cold. If I came to Tikal again I would probably try one of the other 2 hotel options if only for the food.
