Great location- I used to live in DC so I appreciated that it was close to metro center which is great for red orange silver and blue lines. (Easy to get to Union station, DuPont circle, Adam’s Morgan, zoo, Arlington, DCA, Dulles etc). Gallery place was also a close metro option for red green and yellow lines (ballpark/navy yard, U street) and only a short Uber from Georgetown. Could walk to monuments/white house or metro to Smithsonian/fed triangle easily as well and driveway is convenient for Uber pickup. Stayed here for the cherry blossom 10 mile race and the bed was so comfortable and perfect for recovery. As was the smart TV in the room. The gym is nicer than most standalone gyms I’ve been to as well. No pool or hot tub though fyi. Only downside was the check in process was really really slow for us; my partner is a bonvoy elite member and even that line was long. We had a room that overlooked the lobby area and it seemed like there was frequently a very long line to check in.

This is a good hotel in a nice building, conveniently attached to the convention center. When we stayed a few months ago we had a robe in our room - just one for two people, this time we didn't have any. Food is decent. We did NOT appreciate the $25 destination fee to be used for food and drink. We came for an event that included dinner and drinks so didn't use it, and this shouldn't be part of a hotel stay. Reserve fees for food and drinks for the cost of those items for people that wish to have them.

Overall, perfect hotel for the event we were attending at the convention center. Walkable which I recommend because, well….it’s DC. Traffic is horrendous and parking is non-existent. Valet was very overpriced, but again, beats having to find parking. Clean, spacious, awesome bar in the lobby and restaurants/Starbucks in hotel. Did order room service which is “to-go” style, pricey but good portions and quick. We walked to dinner at Yardbird and also had lunch at burger place next to convention center, both amazing! Rooms were basic, but had everything one would need amenity wise. They placed us in rooms across from one another which was nice, and brought our luggage to room, as well as held luggage for us all day Saturday so we could leave as soon as Hyrox was over. Easy 8/10, as it being in a great location for us was key.

A large hotel that seems to cater the event, business and convention crowd. It has a large open Atrium area surrounded by rooms which overlook the open space. There's multiple areas to sit, fellowship, work, read etc. in the spacious lobby and on each floor including Atrium overlook nooks. Three restaraunts, including the Lobby Lounge and STK are onsite and a Starbucks. We ate at the Lobby Restaraunt and The Dignitary which has a large whiskey selection anc cozey lounge seating. All the food was fine and prices DC reasonable. Room was an executive suite with pull out couch, small kithenette bar with sink and mini fridge but NO MICROWAVE! But there is one hidden away in the lobby. Main issue we had was limited service with the Valet which I u/s is an IC but provided by the Hotel so naturally associated with that brand. And at $82.50 a nite, top notch service is expected. However, standout desk performance to address the concern was provided by Shaunte (sp?) S. Overall, it was a good stay and experience and I can recommend with the caveat, consdier parking in a nearby garage and saving money for meals, excursions, etc.

Internet functions were a bit confusing at first, but once know, are quite fast. And, transport access is quite good as we were at the convention center for my trip. Everyone there was quite nice to us & even had a slight but of leeway for the festivities. I'm personally hoping to stay there again for next year's convention!

When we checked in there was an empty water bottle in our bed behind the pillow. As well as a dried up booger in the sheets.

Our firm was here for a conference and the hotel stay was extremely expensive because we stayed in a hotel that the event was being held at. I was hoping for the money we paid, I would have a much better experience. A few things that didn't go as planned and feedback: 1. The shower curtains were full of mold and smelled. 2. There was hair still in the sink. 3. I turned off the alarm clock multiple times but the alarm kept going off for me and my neighbor at odd times. I ended up unplugging the clock. 4. They put me in a room next to the elevator which was extremely loud. After a few days, I had to put in white noise to eliminate as much as I could but it was still loud. In addition, there was either construction or something happening underneath or somewhere around me that banging was taking place for hours in the middle of the night. I could not sleep for 3 of my 5 night stay due to the loud banging. 5. I ate at the hotel restaurant right next to the bar and ordered a Caesar Salad and Salmon as my side. Within that salad were little sardines that smelled and tasted very rotted and old. I ended up getting very sick for a couple of days and spent a bunch of time on the toilet. Overall I was impressed by the event and how amazingly put together it was - the space Marriott has for these events are immaculate but the hotel itself is not one I would recommend especially for the price we paid as a firm.

Room was good but nothing exciting. The bed seemed like and older mattress with some type of topper that didnt do much to soften it up. I could feel the springs every now and then. The hotel was overall nice but its clearly for conventions and the lobby was packed all the time. Great location and good value for the area.
Room was good but nothing exciting. The bed seemed like and older mattress with some type of topper that didnt do much to soften it up. I could feel the springs every now and then. The hotel was overall nice but its clearly for conventions and the lobby was packed all the time. Great location and good value for the area.

Great ambience, clean lobby, however, the rooms could use some attention. The king size bed looks more like a queen size bed, the mursty smell that greets you when you walk in. Nice bathroom I must say. The hotel is all about the gteat lobby and great staff. The rooms, not so great.

Incredible building. Room was really nice. Clean, very good bed, very good heat/air, very good TV system. Complimentary waters to the room are such a nice touch! Biggest downfalls were we had an adjoining room but at the last minute our companions opted out of that room, so other people got it and there was very little soundproofing at all between them it seemed. Could hear clearly into the other room. Maybe that's somewhat expected. The other was the $65 per day valet-only parking. They didn't even let me park to check in. I opted to park at the tech world garage close by for less than a third of the price (with no in-and-out)

A large hotel that seems to cater the event, business and convention crowd. It has a large open Atrium area surrounded by rooms which overlook the open space. There's multiple areas to sit, fellowship, work, read etc. in the spacious lobby and on each floor including Atrium overlook nooks. Three restaraunts, including the Lobby Lounge and STK are onsite and a Starbucks. We ate at the Lobby Restaraunt and The Dignitary which has a large whiskey selection anc cozey lounge seating. All the food was fine and prices DC reasonable. Room was an executive suite with pull out couch, small kithenette bar with sink and mini fridge but NO MICROWAVE! But there is one hidden away in the lobby. Main issue we had was limited service with the Valet which I u/s is an IC but provided by the Hotel so naturally associated with that brand. And at $82.50 a nite, top notch service is expected. However, standout desk performance to address the concern was provided by Shaunte (sp?) S. Overall, it was a good stay and experience and I can recommend with the caveat, consdier parking in a nearby garage and saving money for meals, excursions, etc.

Terrible experience. I booked everything when searching on a filter with Parking and Breakfast on Expedia. When I checked in the only gave me wifi. Plus the refrigerator in the room wasn’t working. All our food got rotten and smelly. When I complained because I booked through 3rd party they can’t do much. Ask me to call them next Friday. My experience through Expedia is terrible. Had to pay 60$ per day parking plus no breakfast. And the food we bought got damaged because of the refrigerator not working in the room.

Hotel charged me twice for valet fee, attendant at desk had to be asked multiple times to look into it, they some how managed to mark me down for two cars and two rooms, didn’t get a single apology once but rather a very accusatory attitude.

Cleaning lady came to clean and we asked for a few more minuets as we would be leaving for entire day. We left and I saw the cleaning crew in the hallway and told them we were leaving and it was ok to clean the room. I told her the room number and she read it back to me. We returned 10 hours later to an unclean room! When I called the people who answered acted like it was my fault our room didn’t get cleaned! They assured us someone would come. After an hour I went to the front desk in person and again I was grilled about why my room wasn’t cleaned because we had sign on door! I explained again that I spoke to the cleaning crew when we left that we wanted the room cleaned! After several minutes I was told someone would come and finally we got service. When the cleaning lady came she asked what was it that we wanted! How about towels, empty trash cans and freshen up the room! Wow! At a hotel like this and for the kind of money you are spending I am shocked and dismayed!

Staff seemed unconcerned that there was a line of literally 20 guests waiting to check in and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience - we waited over 30 minutes in line just to check in! Restaurants on site were severely understaffed - we went into the pizza restaurant and were told by the ONE waitress on duty that we would be better off ordering from Uber Eats because she was the only person working and was completely backed up. Unhelpful/moderately rude staff and non-functional facilities make this a no-go for staying at this hotel again.

I stay here every year when I attend Awesomecon. I have good experiences, and they provide very good hospitality. This year was a bit of a rough start. I have a pickup truck I valet it in their garage every year & every year the valets sort of panic when they see it until I tell them its 6'10 (garage accommodates up to 7') They pull out their measuring stick which is fine & wait for them to do what they need to. This year was not a pleasant experience on that front. I pulled up to check in and one of the valets, a smaller woman with dreadlocks started yelling at me in front of everyone that 'that wont fit' and 'you cant park that here'. I was a bit mortified in front of a full inlet of people staring at me to be treated as unprofessional as that as soon as I pulled up. I told her I park here every year and she cut me off and said 'im going to measurer that but it wont fit'! The usual happened and even though she measured my roof in 4 places, it fit... to no surprise. No apology. The other valet was nice and calmly assured me it was not problem (which i already knew). I went in to check in and she once again came over with the stick to harass my husband who pointed out it was bent 2 inches too short... At check in, I let them know that wasn't the best experience to pull up to at check in. I got a call back from the manager, he was very kind and said he would take care of things and even upgraded our room. The rest of my stay and the staff were fantastic.

Great location- I used to live in DC so I appreciated that it was close to metro center which is great for red orange silver and blue lines. (Easy to get to Union station, DuPont circle, Adam’s Morgan, zoo, Arlington, DCA, Dulles etc). Gallery place was also a close metro option for red green and yellow lines (ballpark/navy yard, U street) and only a short Uber from Georgetown. Could walk to monuments/white house or metro to Smithsonian/fed triangle easily as well and driveway is convenient for Uber pickup. Stayed here for the cherry blossom 10 mile race and the bed was so comfortable and perfect for recovery. As was the smart TV in the room. The gym is nicer than most standalone gyms I’ve been to as well. No pool or hot tub though fyi. Only downside was the check in process was really really slow for us; my partner is a bonvoy elite member and even that line was long. We had a room that overlooked the lobby area and it seemed like there was frequently a very long line to check in.

Our firm was here for a conference and the hotel stay was extremely expensive because we stayed in a hotel that the event was being held at. I was hoping for the money we paid, I would have a much better experience. A few things that didn't go as planned and feedback: 1. The shower curtains were full of mold and smelled. 2. There was hair still in the sink. 3. I turned off the alarm clock multiple times but the alarm kept going off for me and my neighbor at odd times. I ended up unplugging the clock. 4. They put me in a room next to the elevator which was extremely loud. After a few days, I had to put in white noise to eliminate as much as I could but it was still loud. In addition, there was either construction or something happening underneath or somewhere around me that banging was taking place for hours in the middle of the night. I could not sleep for 3 of my 5 night stay due to the loud banging. 5. I ate at the hotel restaurant right next to the bar and ordered a Caesar Salad and Salmon as my side. Within that salad were little sardines that smelled and tasted very rotted and old. I ended up getting very sick for a couple of days and spent a bunch of time on the toilet. Overall I was impressed by the event and how amazingly put together it was - the space Marriott has for these events are immaculate but the hotel itself is not one I would recommend especially for the price we paid as a firm.

Overall, perfect hotel for the event we were attending at the convention center. Walkable which I recommend because, well….it’s DC. Traffic is horrendous and parking is non-existent. Valet was very overpriced, but again, beats having to find parking. Clean, spacious, awesome bar in the lobby and restaurants/Starbucks in hotel. Did order room service which is “to-go” style, pricey but good portions and quick. We walked to dinner at Yardbird and also had lunch at burger place next to convention center, both amazing! Rooms were basic, but had everything one would need amenity wise. They placed us in rooms across from one another which was nice, and brought our luggage to room, as well as held luggage for us all day Saturday so we could leave as soon as Hyrox was over. Easy 8/10, as it being in a great location for us was key.

Food was surprisingly good at the Anthem. Some good omelettes, pancakes, & vegan fare can be found there. The beds, though they did shift a bit, are quite comfortable. Internet functions were a bit confusing at first, but once know, are quite fast. And, transport access is quite good as we were at the convention center for my trip. Everyone there was quite nice to us & even had a slight but of leeway for the festivities. I'm personally hoping to stay there again for next year's convention!

Gorgeous hotel with a gym the bigger than some actual gyms in your home town. The staff was stellar and the food and drinks top shelf!! Only issue was the bar was so hot due to the solar gain from the windows above.
