Stayed at the Indigo with my partner and teenage children. The hotel is trendy and the rooms were nice and clean. The rooftop bar and pool are nice, but I wish the pool was open past 5 PM (and the water could have been much warmer). The neighbourhood is super lively with a lot going on until very late. We would stay there again for sure.

Hotel Bar Mr Purple is actually a club. Plays loud music until 2am Friday and 4am Saturday. Our room was a couple floors above so no chance of sleep til 2am/4am. So loud you struggle even to hear the TV just had to sit it out. Then have to sleep late and start day late. Would have been nice to know as I would not have picked this hotel.

Hotel is conveniently located and rooms are spacious for NY. However there were lots of little issues: fridge didn’t work, no body wash, no coffee cups, shower head was broken etc. Also pool was supposed to open sunrise to sunset and it only opened 9-4pm. Overall it’s good value for NY though and with a little more care and detail it could be very nice. Gym is 24x7 which was nice and staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Property was in a good location. There was lots of stuff very close as far as restaurants and bars and dessert. Spots hotel was known for its rooftop bar, which was an inconvenience for gas as there were on a Saturday night music till 4 AM and thousands of people in line. If you come in after 9 PM, it starts to get a little tricky to get to your room by 11 PM. It’s a crazy crowd.

We loved this hotel. The one thing I would note (because we were traveling with kids) is that the pool has super limited hours. maybe like 9a-4p on week days and only 9a-1p on weekends. As such we didn't get to be in the pool on Sunday afternoon which was a major reason we had booked this one. We were disappointed for sure but the hotel and rest of the parts of our stay were very nice.

The hotel itself is good and the staff are polite. However, there is an external company that runs the 15th floor which is a noisy nightclub and goes on until 4am at the weekend. They also run the breakfast and only offer a egg and bacon roll/muffin/juice/coffee which comes via very rude staff. The pool is tiny with very limited access to hotel guest is very limited. Shame as the hotel is good.

The hotel is a good value but the drawbacks are: - Club on the 15th floor is VERY LOUD. - Bathroom is mildewy and overall the rooms look a little WORN. Needs a refresh at this level. - Seems like false advertising but on the weekend from 1:00p on the pool is CLOSED unless you pay a $150 FEE. It is not mentioned or I didn't see it mentioned on Expedia. - The staff was very unfriendly, felt like they were posing to be cool. I'm a native New Yorker, New Yorkers are nice people. Note to Hotel: I had to live with the club noise or accept a lower grade room and I contacted the desk about the fee. In both cases they did not offer to resolve it appropriately. So please do not write a boilerplate cut and paste response to this review that you are sorry and will make it right next time. And your check out app is broken and no one answers the phone!

The view was scenic; the decor was modern, urban... Room was clean and spacious. Only recommendation is to fix toilet so not running (a little noisy at night) and to clean edges of shower ( a little mildew). Would stay here again!

Getting there was easy but the man at the front desk kept trying to upgrade us and would get an attitude whenever we asked a question. Once in the room the floors were dirty, the wall looked like they needed a little touch up, and the room was lacking in aesthetic all around.

I used to stay at this hotel frequently and now it’s just gone completely downhill. There was damage on the walls of my room, curtains were broken and every time I entered, not one staff member at the front desk said hello. People need to get off their phones and remember they are at work. My unfortunate room was also not ready in time and it wasn’t until the concierge asked how my stay was going that reminded them that I still didn’t have it room in the late afternoon. The only person that really stood out was the doorman that has been there consistently and is very friendly. The pool area also used to be well maintained and is nothing but a cement hole with disgusting, sad pieces of what used to be furniture. I won’t ever return.

Nice hotel for a short stay. It has a wonderful roof terrace that makes the place otherwise it lacks atmosphere and needs a good clean (under the beds full of litter/nail clippings etc) anything above 5ft is dusty / dirty. ‘Breakfast included’ doesn’t mean it’s included… You receive a voucher for a coffee and wait ages for it… city view was paid for but not received - Instead we looked at a courtyard and rusty sets of stairs. Pointless resort fees added for things you’d get anyway. WiFi. Gym access. Etc

Great location, walkable, great pool and bar, shopping but our shower was GROSS! There was mold all over our shower - the door, the grout and the worst in and all over the shower head. I talked to the mgr and he said they'd have someone up to clean it in 15 minutes. That did not happen so I called again and they came up and cleaned the room which we did not ask for but DID NOT clean the mold in the shower. WHAT? Upon check-out I told the front desk again about the issue and I hope to get one night free for the issue.

I should have read the reviews because all of them concerning the noise from the club were correct. My room was 8 floors below the club and even with my sound machine on full blast, the thumping bass noise was so loud and didn't stop until 3:30 am. If the hotel didn't have the club it would be lovely; the rooms are large and clean and comfortable.

I stayed three nights for a solo vacation - my room was beautiful, spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and I had a great view of the city. All of the staff were super friendly and housekeeping came daily. My only recommendation is to stay here on weeknights only (unless your goal is to party all night!) Over the weekend the attached club is extremely rowdy, and the bass rattled the walls and bed (I was on the 12th floor, the club is on the 14th or 15th floor). The front desk staff did warn me as I checked in, so I was prepared with earplugs and still slept okay.

Staff was great here, very pleasant and moved my room away from the nightclub for better sleep. Only downside was rooms were on the sparse side. Felt like I was staying in someone's unfinished guest room :) However not a biggie since I didn't go there to hangout in a hotel room. Good place to stay as it is in a lively area!

Great location. Bar area has great view. Some nice art and design elements. Property has aged, furniture damaged/scratched. Needs updated rooms. Rooms are clean and bed is comfortable, but rooms are much smaller than listed. We booked a 315 sq ft minimum room, and the room measured 236 sq feet. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to a larger room for no fee, but we had to be persistent. Don't expect luxury. Basic hotel stay only.

First of all, the hotel is located in a well served area. The room's dimentions are over the avarage for the city and they were cleaned. Our request to be accomodated in a high floor room was taken into account, thank you for that! However, it was never mentioned that on the 15th floor there is a club (Mr. Purple). On the week days, you could hear the noise and the music from the room until midnight, while on the weekend, the noise started from early the afterrnoon and the night it went on until 3:30am. If you have a light sleep, you should ask to be located in a room far away from the 15th floor!!

We had such a wonderful time here. It was close to everything we wanted and out of the busy areas like time square. The woman at the front (drawing a blank of her name) but she was so kind and helpful. We needed a late checkout and she made sure that happened. We’d come back for the customer service. The rooms were spacious and clean and loved the look and feel of the hotel.

I would never stay at this hotel again. The hotel staff was aggressively rude and quick to escalate when faced with simple questions like, could I have a quiet room, or, could I have an iron sent to the room. It took 4 hours and me asking 3 times to get the iron. The hotel, especially the bathrooms and air systems, are moldy if you have any sensitivities. It did not look like they ever clean the air filters. The floors were filthy. Sure it’s New York, but I’ve stayed at two star hotels that were much cleaner and didn’t have visible mold in every! crevice of the shower. The hotel is centered around the club (which is not on the highest or lowest floor but nestled in between guest floors). Why? But it was really how rude the staff was that will have me never staying here again. I’m sure it can’t be easy working at a two star hotel parading as a four star hotel, but the attitude from staff was shocking. The location is great and close to everything, but at what cost? You can do better with your money and energy.

I liked the shops and food options in the area although the streets and sidewalks were quite dirty and some areas smelled of urine. I guess that is to be expected of a big city. It didn't keep me from exploring and spending my money! The hotel room was comfy and clean. The pool area was nice with a beautiful view of the city. The bar noise was loud but it was kind of nice. I didn't go to the bar because it was all drunk 20 somethings living their best lives. I wouldn't have mind if there was a bar for middle-aged folx like me. Ha!

The location was amazing, so many brilliants pubs, bars, restaurants, and coffee shops all in the Lower East Side/ the hotel doorstep! Also close to multiple subway stops so we managed to get to and from the airports by public transport easily and navigate the city (but manhattan is also easy to walk around which we loved). The pool closed at 5 but even getting back in time for an hour to have a quick dip/ cool off after sightseeing in the summer heat was ideal. The music could be loud in our room as we were the floor above the bar but midweek it didn’t go on too late and if you pick to stay in a lively neighbourhood it’s expected you will hear some sounds of nightlife. Would definitely recommend!

the hotel was FAB and so was the location I have stayed in other Indigo hotels and this is the first time I am disssappointed by 2 things: the breakfast buffet was not what I had experienced in other countries and the credit card I left for incidentals will take between 7 and 10 days to reflect the credit back which I find a bit unusual as this is done upon checking out.

Nice hotel in a great part of town for locals and tourists alike. Plenty within walking distance (food, bars, shopping, transportation, etc.). Walking distance to Chinatown & Little Italy as well. Rooms are clean and tidied up daily by housekeeping. Toiletries are plentiful and smell great! Only one negative - the hotel rooftop bar doesn't open until late in the afternoon (4 pm I think) so its quite inconvenient if you're looking to have a drink or snack throughout the day.
