Very cute boutique hotel. The neighborhood has lots of places to eat and is a great place for a walk to the beach. The rooftop bar is so cute a drinks were delicious.

Nice boutique hotel, seems to have been recently renovated. Cozy room, great for 1 or 2 people, which suited my needs for a quick overnight stay. Walkable to all the shops and restaurants of Oceanside. There was no front desk staff so check-in instructions were provided through text, and they were able to accommodate a slightly early check in for my stay which was appreciated. A free drink card for a cocktail at the hotels rooftop bar and coffee at the cafe was a nice touch. One small criticism is that there was some noise from the surrounding location and walls didn’t seem super soundproof, so I could hear other rooms’ doors close on the same floor or items being moved the floor above

The property is really cute. The parking is a little far especially if you're traveling with little ones. There's also lots of noise so if you're a light sleeper you probably won't get a good restful night's sleep. Other than that, the staff is nice and accommodating. There are a lot of restaurants around and the beach is within walking distance. The location is great.

We used to live in O'side, so we knew we wanted to stay in the middle of the action! The Brick hotel offered the location for a reasonable price. Everything was so easy-from check-in to parking to check-out. Communication was excellent. If youre looking for a quiet night, it may not be the place for you. Sandwiched between a restaurant and a roof top bar made it a little noisy, but it didnt diminish our experience at all. We loved being able to walk to all our favorite spots, and the resoration of an historic building was the cherry on the top.

For what it is it’s ok. A room. No front desk no body lotion no Kleenex A do it yourself room in clean tricked out rooming house. All interactions on line. Parking a few blocks away. I think if description was more honest I would have decided to go elsewhere. Why pay high prices for do it yourself no service lodging.

The property itself is fine, but you can hear stomping from people on the rooftop bar until midnight. The bed frame could do with some extra dusting. I enjoyed the complementary drinks for the rooftop bar and coffee bar the next day. Overall, not the romantic getaway I was hoping for. Also got a parking ticket at the street parking spots one of the attendants sitting at a podium the hotel entrance directed me to park at. He said it was safe to park until 8am but when I went down to move my car I was already issued a parking ticket at 05:30AM.

Great location, super smooth with the digital check in and key system. Super nice staff. Some better blinds and a bit more attention in the cleaning details would be positive, but a part from that top notch for a boutique hotel.

The staff makes this place outstanding the rooms are really cute and very clean. If you want extreme quietness you’re not getting it here but if you can make do with a little bit of inconvenience noise, why it is so extremely cute close to everything very walkable and like I said the staff is a bonus

The perfect amount of "hotel" - seamless self check in, but someone always available either in the restaurant/lobby or a quick text away. Clean, stylish, well equipped rooms, clear directions, excellent 'virtual concierge' we never had to reach out for anything. A perfect stay (and great coffee at the succulent shop!) It is our second stay with The Brick Hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area. I have booked and stayed at hundreds of hotels through hotels.com and this is only my second review. It is just that perfect. Especially knowing how either overpriced or underwhelming hotels in the area can be all of their efforts deserve the praise. Book it!

Ok, so the good and not so good about The Brick. We love the location, right in the middle of the beach area, good food option, the beach and pier are right there, easy to walk around, great location. The Brick has good food and drink options as well. Now a few things that could be improved upon, the mattresses are very firm, and if you like that then no problem, but for us it was difficult to get comfortable and sleep. Along with that, the noise of the rooftop bar is just too much, we've stayed here before and it was an issue, but we thought we could deal with it, but this time it was the same, tough to sleep if you go to bed anytime before 12pm.

Very cool renovated historic hotel minutes from the beach and all the great restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Room was a bit small and no place to put clothes during our 4-day stay. Recommend installing a dresser under the TV. Bed was a bit firm for me but my better half enjoyed it. Room is under the roof top bar but we had no issues with the noise level. We will most likely book this again when back in March. Highly recommend.

Very cute. Loved the aesthetic choices and the bed was comfortable. Great view of the sunset. A little trepidatious of the unconventional setup but it was incredibly easy to figure out.

While we enjoyed the location of the property due to its closed proximity, at all places we have in mind, the level of comfort is average. There were 3 of us in the room; myself and my 2 children. The bed was "really good", according to them; I was extremely uncomfortable on the sofa bed. How could 2 (if there were 4 of us!) people fit in that sofa comfortably, I have no idea! I had a backache and had to sleep sitting up for the rest of the night.

Now a few things that could be improved upon, the mattresses are very firm, and if you like that then no problem, but for us it was difficult to get comfortable and sleep. Along with that, the noise of the rooftop bar is just too much, we've stayed here before and it was an issue, but we thought we could deal with it, but this time it was the same, tough to sleep if you go to bed anytime before 12pm.

Great, Great, Great! Spot definitely going to stay here again. We spent 4 days in oceanside and we didn't have to drive anywhere. So much to do in the area.

The property is really cute. The parking is a little far especially if you're traveling with little ones. There's also lots of noise so if you're a light sleeper you probably won't get a good restful night's sleep. Other than that, the staff is nice and accommodating. There are a lot of restaurants around and the beach is within walking distance. The location is great.

We used to live in O'side, so we knew we wanted to stay in the middle of the action! The Brick hotel offered the location for a reasonable price. Everything was so easy-from check-in to parking to check-out. Communication was excellent. If youre looking for a quiet night, it may not be the place for you. Sandwiched between a restaurant and a roof top bar made it a little noisy, but it didnt diminish our experience at all. We loved being able to walk to all our favorite spots, and the resoration of an historic building was the cherry on the top.

So much about the Brick Hotel atmosphere is just wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, the Q & A restaurant, and rooftop bar were all so pretty and the food was delicious. Our room was adorable and had a beautiful view. We also really appreciated all of the information we received via email and text. Checking in and out and getting around was easy peasy. Unfortunately, there were a few rather heavy downsides. Firstly, the bed was quite uncomfortable. Secondly, in paying as much as we did for the room, it would have been great to have had a quality lotion available, along with a kettle for tea or instant coffee. Also, we were disappointed that the coffee shop was not opened and was supposed to be at 7:30am. Lastly and most importantly, the volume from the rooftop bar was horrendous and made it really hard to sleep. I understand that the rooftop bar is a critical aspect of the Hotels business. I would highly recommend making it very clear to guests what they're getting into with the volume.

Nice boutique hotel, seems to have been recently renovated. Cozy room, great for 1 or 2 people, which suited my needs for a quick overnight stay. Walkable to all the shops and restaurants of Oceanside. There was no front desk staff so check-in instructions were provided through text, and they were able to accommodate a slightly early check in for my stay which was appreciated. A free drink card for a cocktail at the hotels rooftop bar and coffee at the cafe was a nice touch. One small criticism is that there was some noise from the surrounding location and walls didn’t seem super soundproof, so I could hear other rooms’ doors close on the same floor or items being moved the floor above

The perfect amount of "hotel" - seamless self check in, but someone always available either in the restaurant/lobby or a quick text away. Clean, stylish, well equipped rooms, clear directions, excellent 'virtual concierge' we never had to reach out for anything. A perfect stay (and great coffee at the succulent shop!) It is our second stay with The Brick Hotel and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area. I have booked and stayed at hundreds of hotels through hotels.com and this is only my second review. It is just that perfect. Especially knowing how either overpriced or underwhelming hotels in the area can be all of their efforts deserve the praise. Book it!

Very nice hotel with an edgy feel. Room was big enough but the shower was not easily assessinle for turning on and off. The door by the faucets was permanently in place, had to get in the shower to turn it on, not fun. Great location! Fun bartenders on the first floor.

The location is perfect just behind the Mission Pacific Hotel 2 blocks and in the heart of entertainment district. The pier is only 3 blocks and the breeze off the water was wonderful from the roof top bar and through our windows. The room was larger than expected as well as the bath. The bed was firm and very comfortable with great linens. The air conditioner hummed just right and access to the room was easy. Will stay again.

This Brick Hotel is rad! The hotel is clean with an open concept. Location is key for this spot as the beach is a couple blocks away, there are so many bars and restaurants around, and there are 2 awesome bars: one tiki bar when you walk in and a rooftop one with an amazing view, especially for sunset. The Thursday Night farmers market is steps away which was also very cool. We had such an amazing stay, we highly recommend staying here, and we’ll probably stay there again! :)
