Knob Hill Motor Lodge

The entrance\exit to the parking area is sloped down to the street with the street sloping upward. This causes the front of my car to scrape going in or out. The hotel itself is very reasonably priced, the room was very clean, and it was well furnished. I have used them twice on my way home from Florida, and I will use them again.

Park next to room so it was easy to unload and load from car. Although there were a couple of steps up.

i drive a minivan with a relatively low clearance. the entrance to their lot is manageable if you are careful... but the exit is steep and impossible not to scrape. there are lots of drag marks. Room was clean but a bit rundown.

This place is falling apart, broken tiles in the bathroom, a broken lamp leaning against the wall, duct tape covering a broken deadbolt on the door. The parking lot is at such a steep angle that I dragged the chin spoiler on my car getting in and out of the lot...

Classic motel-parking outside door, well lit. Very friendly and accommodating gentleman at reception. He mentioned there would be fresh coffee made by 7am…when I smiled and said I would be leaving early for my long road trip, he kindly offered to get up and have the coffee made by 6am!! I thanked him and declined, saying he needed sleep more than I needed coffee…so I can’t comment on how good it would have been :-) But the service attitude was top notch.

Knob Hill was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. The proprietor was friendly, nice and helpful. The room was not like being in a resort, but was clean and adequate. We stayed for two nights and probably would go there again.

Room was clean. Good value. No ironing board. Served us well.

This is an excellent place to stay. The staff were friendly and kind. The room was clean and the beds were AMAZING!!! My best friend and I stayed here on our 5-day trip through West Virginia. This was our 1st stop on the trip. We were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the motel is older, but I think it has charm. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't require a brand-new motel experience. This place was safe and quiet. I slept like a baby. We had everything we needed, which included fresh hot coffee in the morning. I like how your parking spot is your room as well. You don't have to go far if you have a lot to carry.

This was a pleasant stay. We spent one night and had no issues. It's an older hotel but for the price it's a good stay. There aren't any special amenities but if you are looking for just a place to sleep it's a good option.

Property is in a great location. But the up keep has gone down hill since our last stay about 3. Years ago.. There was black mold covering the inside of the shower curtain. Cobwebs and dead bugs in the corners of the rooms. And the outside was cluttered with dirty hand towels hanging around the front entrance and trash on the grounds. No mention anywhere when booking about an incidental charge for any damages. Upon arrival host demanded my bank card for this $50 charge. I did check out

Absolutely disgusting, filthy, yuck! Here's why. Upon check-in the place was very disorganized and we were given a literal key. We go to the room and the scent of mildew or mold spores greet you upon entering. It's late so we have to make the best out of this. I walk over to turn the old AC unit on and it's filthy, dust, dog hair human hair, I couldn't tell, bugs. From that point forward straight downhill. The carpet felt sticky, the remote control made me cringe. We go over to wash our hands and get this, there is only scorching hot water coming out of both water lines, unbelievable. We look in the old tub shower combo that couldn't be use because of the water and it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. It was dirty with soap scum all in it. Then they had the audacity to leave a container of Ajax under the sink, you can't make this stuff up. The towels and wash cloths was very used. The nightmare continues but you don't have to live through it, spare yourself, spend just a little more this time. We booked three nights but left early the next morning knowing we wouldn't receive a refund. These people should have brought a pig farm instead of a motel!!! Expedia Family you have been truthfully warned.

Not very clean rooms

Room needs a good cleaning. Floor was damp under the air conditioner causing an odd smell.

No one came to clean our room or see if we needed clean towels. I wasnt able to check in at the time i was given.

I’ve been in public bathrooms that were cleaner than this bathroom

This was an excellent choice for a budget-friendly selection. It was the off-season, so I got a very attractive price. The motor inn is an older facility but has been well maintained and updated enough to have all of the conveniences you might expect. The room was very clean and simple. Everything worked well. The water was hot and had plenty of pressure in the shower. As far as economy hotels go, this should be among those at the top of your consideration. NICE, SIMPLE, CLEAN, and SECURE.

The room in the property are very dated from the 1960s. On the plus side they're very clean and staff was pleasant and check-in was easy. Plus the price was right

Staff had a great attitude, super nice... problem... they charge a $50 deposit which you get back when you check out... they were supposed to give my deposit back on my card... instead he gave me cash... waited until we were over an hour away and called and wanted us to drive back to give the cash back...we we heading to meet family that hasn't been seen in a while...had a time limit to get there...and then he added it back to my card...was demanding us turn around right then...told him we couldn't turn around...told him we would send it back electronically...he still demanded we bring back...told him we had no problem giving it back... that's why we were going to send it electronically...he wouldn't do that so we told him he would have to wait until we were finished with what we were doing.....we had to drive 3hrs to give it back... won't be staying there again.

The condition of the room was disappointing and the beds were comparable to sleeping on the floor.

Great if you are looking to recreate a movie scene with the Winchesters from Supernatural. Looks like all the motels that they would stay at!

Room was clean. The hotel is located on a up-hill run of the street and the traffic can be loud. The plumbing in the bath tub of our room could use some work. The pressure of the shower needs reducing and the tub needs to be recaulked and the stains removed.

They charged my credit card an extra $10 because they said I "soiled" a towel.

This is our second time to stay at Knob Hill and we were just as pleased as we were the first time! Great owners and attention was given to our satisfaction.

Receptionist was extremely rude when I asked about the extra $50 hold they put on your credit card until I check out…though I paid in full the day before online on Expedia site. She could have been nicer about it. Heavy musty smell. Room Smells like an old seller. Lamp shades were falling apart. Ceiling tiles looked like they were caving in. Bathroom was old and dirty. Hairs everywhere. Mildew and mold on shower grout tiles. Shower water pressure was TOO high. Was not in joy able. Bed sheets had stains. Found hairs on bed sheets. Stains on pillow cases. Stains on carpet. Would not recommend even if the stay was free. You get that you pay for.

As has been said in other reviews, the property is in need of updating but it is clean. The clerk I dealt with was friendly.

Friendly welcome on check in. The room itself was very dated but was clean. The shower was brilliant, the bed was very comfy. The area itself is quite busy but the hotel is up on a hill so away from the traffic. A 5 min walk takes you to two supermarkets and a fab Italian Bella Italia, very reasonable priced restaurant with amazing pizza 🍕

What we needed for the night…..a place to sleep and close to the doctors office we needed to visit. Only there 8 hours….had no problems whatsoever
