Stayed 4 nights

The hotel met all of our needs. Breakfast had a good selection and the hot choices changed daily. Unfortunatley the one of the lifts broke down so there was only one working for guests to use, at times there were long waiting times. Be aware that this hotel is by a busy road and the noise (even on the 13th floor) was loud!!! We were there 4 nights and hardly slept as we are not used to it. Special mention to Elizabeth who checked us in, so friendly and helpful. Hotel was just around the corner from the big bus tour stop and the river walk.

The location of the hotel was excellent being very close to Michigan ave and the Riverwalk area. But the nighttime street noise was very loud and extended well into the night making sleeping difficult. The toilet had a slow leak and refilled about once an hour. The room was clean and the morning breakfast was acceptable.

Can't beat the price or location! Had one of the better free breakfast buffets in my experience. Double rooms are tight, must squeeze between the bed and the wall to get to the bathroom. There is closet space, no drawer space, so for longer stays you will be living out of your suitcase. Biggest problem for me was the noise that the AC made. We complained and they immediately sent a maintenance worker to our room, which was nice, but he said all of the AC units make the same noise. I had to sleep with my ear buds in and music playing.

Perfect location- right in the middle of the Loop. The building is beautifully restored. Staff was great and breakfast was delicious.
