This hotel has no parking and finding parking in downtown san diego can be very challenging if you dont plan ahead. It is very difficult to find on there site that they do not have parking, so we showed up without booking parking and made our weekend start off very poorly as we had to park 2.5 miles away and pay $50.

excellent, central location. staff was super friendly. room was the perfect size and offered all needed amenities. Only thing would be parking was a bit of a hassle as there is none, but nothing too serious. just have to come to terms that it will be busy during the weekend as it's in the center of the gaslamp.

Convenient location but very annoying if you have a car to park, especially if you arrive during a baseball game and there is limited parking in the garages nearby. They need to offer valet to guests to make this place worth it. I chose it because of the cost, but ended up spending $90 to park for one night about 1/2 mile away. Wouldn’t stay again because of that.

There is no parking. And they don’t care. If you can’t park, it’s not their problem. Public parking nearby costs upwards of $15 per hour. No food or amenities, either. You get a bed, basically. Wish we had stayed somewhere else.

Hotel Z knocked it out of the park. Great service, great location, very clean, amenities were great including free bike rentals, bottomless coffee, filtered water. We would definitely look to stay at any Staypineapple hotel in the future as it was fun, friendly, and very enjoyable!

Hotel staff were super nice and helpful! Especially receptionist Melissa. The rooms were super clean including the towels, bedding, sheets, everything!! I definitely didn’t feel like I was in a dirty hotel room or did I have a feeling of somewhat disgust that I am sleeping at a hotel compared to other spots I have booked at. Definitely booking again.

We have stayed here before. The staff are great and the location is perfect for us. The only issue was the water coming out of the bathroom sink smelled like sewer. It was really bad to the point I didn't want to brush my teeth with that water. I let the staff know, and they said that just happens sometimes.

This hotel is very conveniently located in the Gaslight District of San Diego and within walking distance of the Convention Center as qell as Petco Park. The hotel is very clean and the customer service was stellar. They put effort into making you comfortable. The rooms are really clean and well maintained. They have excellent attention to detail that adds to their services toward their customers, such as bath robes, shower amenities, free water and beverages, as well as goodies for a pup, since they are pet friendly.

An absolutely spectacular hotel. Everything was clean and bright. The exterior of the building popped with color and was very inviting. The lobby was welcoming and Melissa was a fantastic host. Our room was clean, beautiful and comfortable. The bed was one of the nicest I have ever slept in while on vacation and the bathroom and shower were modern and sleek.

My room was facing the Main Street, music was soooooo loud, bass was pounding way past midnight. I was only able to sleep 4 hours, then the loud trash pick up started at 5am. It was a horrible night. Staff were nice and room was clean.

Staypineapple, Hotel Z is conveniently located, with may restaurants nearby and about a 10-min walk to the San Diego Convention Center. I stayed two nights and service to the room is only after the second night, so I did not experience it. My room was small, especially considering that part of the square footage was a non-useful entryway. The wifi worked well, but the desk was very small and crowded with coffee maker, etc. The bathroom was large and well-equipped..

Overall we enjoyed our 5 night stay. Location, service and cleanliness were all very good. Great water pressure in the shower. However, the bedding was too hot for us and we couldn't use the air conditioning as it was extremely loud and blew straight into your face while lying in bed. That meant we sweltered at night and couldn't get a good night's sleep. The hotel should really consider a different style of air conditioning as the units are too bulky and loud for the smallish rooms.

Booked a suite for $350 and really disapointed at how small the room was. They gave us a room right by the elevator which we heard all night long. Some sort of fight broke out on our floor, I believe the police were called. Noisy upstairs above our room. Overall didn't feel this was worth the price.

Room for 2 was small for one person. The bed was comfortable but too large for the room, taking up too much space. The bathroom needed more table space for toilet trades and the sinks need to be deeper to prevent frequent splash back from running water

An outstanding hotel. I was able to check in early and check out late due to arrival departure times. If you have checked out they will hold your bags for you while you get in some last minute sightseeing before you leave. Colourful halls and rooms in the heart of The GasLamp District. All employees were polite and very helpful.

Property was a really convenient, short walk to the convention center, which is why we chose the hotel. It was also surrounded by a plethora of food/drink establishments for the choosing. The room was quaint and the beds were really comfortable. Parking, on the other hand, was a crap shoot. You have to find parking around the hotel as they don't have dedicated spots.

The hotel was wonderful, very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is great, it's right in the middle of the Gas Lamp district so it's super convenient for restaurants and shopping, and it's within walking distance to Seaport Village and the USS Midway Museum. Being in the center of all that made it a bit noisy at night, though, so I did have to sleep with earplugs, but the noise seemed to be people in the streets.

Pineapple Z is located perfectly allowing you to walk to anything near Petco park or the Convention Center. The hotel staff are very inviting and friendly, fast response times for requests and definitely have a sense of urgency, looking to help in any way possible. It should be noted if you haven't been around the homeless population much or aren't comfortable, the element is there. The San Diego police patrol is ever present and we had no issues. Anything you want is within walking distance or an easy hop on the metro.

Unfortunately we arrived in the late afternoon on a day the Padres were playing. It made finding a place to unload and park more difficult. It cost me an extra $80 to park my car for less than 2 days. No restaurant was not a problem, but breakfast Saturday & Sunday set us back another $100. So budget extra money above your room cost for the pleasure of staying there. Everything else was fine.

Such a CUTE boutique hotel! Everything about it was just PERFECT!!! The beds are fabulous!!! The location is so conveniently located to tons of restaurants and activities! The staff was extremely friendly. The pineapple infused water and cookies, or such a nice treat in the lobby. Will defiantly be back!

Cute hotel in Gaslamp Quarter. Staff were efficient, friendly and service with a smile. Area was convenient and central with countless restaurants and bars options. Only negative was shower drain was slow to drain. Otherwise, will stay again. Pineapple cookies and coffee service in the afternoon was a treat after a long day of sightseeing.

Such a great hotel! Moderate rates, very simple, not a lot of fancy amenities but you don’t have to pay for them either that way. The area is awesome. There are 100 restaurants within a few minutes walk. Everywhere we ate was amazing. We felt very safe in the area And we really enjoyed it. We will for sure come back.
