Aqualina Inn Montauk

Great location and amenities available with your stay (e.g., beach chairs, umbrellas, parking, access to beach). The rooms are small but sufficient. The outdoor spaces are nice because you can lounge around both in the sun and shade if the beach isn’t your thing. The hotel is walking distance from the main strip so my boyfriend and I bought breakfast and brought it back to the hotel to have on their picnic tables in their courtyard which was quite nice!

We loved the Aqualina Inn!! Quiet, comfortable bed, nice balcony and great salt water, heated pool. We will definitely return in the future!!

Great close to town and very walkable especially if you are without a car. Pool is nice and warm has some floats to enjoy.

I’m so glad my friend and I stayed here for a girls weekend! From the moment we arrived, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was exactly how we expected it to be: clean, basic resources, and updated. The location was perfect. A very short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. I had a car and didn’t even need to use it. The inn also provided beach chairs and towels for your convenience, what a nice surprise! There’s also a beautiful pool and lounge chair area in the back. Highly recommend, especially for the great price! Hope to stay again soon.

Parking was tight but adequate. Would have liked to have a chair in the room. No where to sit except the bed or a hard outdoor bench. Great location and helpful staff. Would definitely return especially with its proximity to the beach!

Room was nice and quiet , cold AC loved being right near the town you can walk back and forth to the room in 10 min . Beach was right there only 3 min walking distance and using the pool was great too nice and warm. Parking right out front was convenient overall great place to stay !

Such a nice motel. So clean. So up to date. So easily accessible. So easy to park. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. It blew away any expectations. SO close to the beach. so close to restaurants, shopping, anything you may need. The pool and the loungers were wonderful. You can take beach chairs and umbrellas from the motel to the beach. 5 stars. I have never stayed in a motel before but I would consider this place wonderful. It is truly a gem. So clean and comfy.

This is a great option for a well priced hotel only a three minute walk to the beach. The pool is lovely and well-kept, the room and bath are well appointed, and it is great that they have towels, chairs, and umbrellas for the beach. It is also an easy walk to the jitney bus stop and lots of great dining options. This is my third year of coming to the Aqualina in September for a girls getaway. It is especially nice to come soon after Labor Day, when the prices are lower, the weather is still great, and the crowds are gone. The second floor rooms with balconies are an especially good value, because they are much quieter than the ground floor rooms.

This hotel is lovely. A block away from the beach and very clean. The staff is very accommodating and the hotel provides beach towels and umbrellas for the beach. The pool is clean and warm and private. Would definitely return!

The room was simple but lovely. The bathroom looked brand new and was pretty and spotless. And the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Pour and noisy air conditioning

The people who operate this hotel and its sister, Ocean Resort, are lovely. We needed a last-minute reservation and they were able to accommodate us a first night at Ocean Resort, and the second at Aquilina. Both hotels are old-school "mom and pop" looking. We can't say anything negative about Ocean Resort. But Aquilina has issues: the through the window AC/heater unit is incredibly noisy. Worse, the plumbing noises coming from the unit above us were so loud that we were afraid water was about to come through the ceiling. It interfered with our night's sleep. I would stay again at Ocean Resort but I don't think I'd go back to Aquilina.

Overall, the hotel was nice, quiet and very clean. I reserved a room with a balcony and was hoping the sunset would be visible. However, the balcony faced the street.

The room was no-frills but for a beach motel it was easy, quiet and exceeded expectations. Great location: walkable to beach and town. Room was quiet, clean and minimal. AC worked but too loud. All on all, enjoyed stay, and would book again.

Facility was clean and well maintained, and staff is also friendly. We loved the room with the balcony, and the pool was heated so we could swim a bit even though the weather was in the 60s. However the walls are thin so there was a lot of noise throughout the night and early morning, usually banging noises I assume from people walking in their rooms and outside, and also opening/closing the dressers in the rooms. Overall a pleasant experience!

Amazing place, clean, safe, 2 minutes walk from fantastic beach and the city. Sebastian, the manager was very kind and helpful and Carolina in the reception was very welcoming….my favorite place…visiting again very soon.

The Aqualina Inn was such an amazing stay for a little getaway from the city! Sebastian at the front desk was very friendly and even recommended us some places to grab lunch in the area. This location is right across the street from the beach and they provide umbrellas and chairs for guests to use! Will be coming back!

Great service

I was upgraded to a room with king bed. Very clean and pleasant accommodations. The staff was amazing and friendly. Location is perfect - a few steps away from the beach and Main Street. I had a great stay.

Overall the hotel was nice, clean and conveniently located. The hotel offered a $50 early check-in option. I requested this early check-in for 12:00 as we had a wedding to attend and it was a great option for us to get dressed in the hotel room rather than travel in our wedding outfits. I received an email on Tuesday stating that my request for check-in at 12:00 was approved. Unfortunately when we arrived on Sunday, we were told that early check-in wasn’t possible, and that the option was to get changed in the pool bathroom. If I had known that it was not possible in advance, we would have arrived ready in our wedding outfits. I was very disappointed that the hotel misrepresented the approved early check-in by emailing me, and not communicating with me otherwise.

Worst hotel experience ever. Check-in time was 3 and we arrived a few hours early and he told us we couldn't check-in, which is fine. But then when we went around 2:30 (because he said check back) he was giving all sorts of arrivals their keys, but not us. He waited until exactly 3:00 to give us the key, and it was like the worst room in the hotel, right near street and stairs, so someone could hope off the stairs into our balcony and into room, no privacy. And then there was a nightclub across the street with loud pounding music, so loud we didn't sleep at all. And it went on til 4:00 a.m. We tried calling the front desk multiple times but no one answered. There was people outside our door partying all night, big scary looking guys we didn't want to confront. We had booked 2 nights and wanted to check out early the next day, but he already charged us and wouldn't give us a refund. When we said we tried to call him, he said we should have called the police to complain about the noise.

Expedia and the property customer service was awful

The location of the Aqualina is very good and conveniently close to the beach, town and restaurants. Initial interaction with front desk (Sebastian) was pleasant and welcoming. The room size is accommodating to two people as stated on website and the bathroom is a nice size. Upon checking in to our room, the dampness and humidity were apparent. The AC was not cooling adequately and the bathroom shower floor was not draining water correctly leaving it with standing water. The toilet was leaking from the cistern. We brought this to the attention of Joe at the front desk after the first night and he said that it would be looked at. Needless to say, nothing was done. In addition, we asked for our room to be restocked with fresh towels, etc. and this was not done "until 3pm" as he stated. $720 for two nights is considered reasonable for Montauk however, if a guest states that there are issues in the room, take the time to look at it and pretend to care about the services offered. We left by 9am morning of check out leaving a note with a staff member to ask Joe to give me a call because there was a credit card charge for a date that we did not stay at this inn...I am still awaiting the call.

Can’t say enough about how great this place was! The location is amazing. Steps away from the beach one way and a block away from the heart of the town and shops. I will definitely be staying here every year I come back to Montauk.

Nice, clean, and walkable to everything

We have stayed here 3 or 4 times. We keep coming back year after year to Aqualina. We love the king balcony room, the quiet, closeness to the beach and town. We can park the car and walk throughout town. We will continue to stay here when visiting Montauk.
