Hyatt Place Flagstaff

I booked last minute and it worked out great! Clean room and friendly staff. The Starbucks in the lobby was a great feature!

The room and hotel were clean and the receptionist at check was great! The room was nice, roomy for 5 of us. The charge a surcharge for breakfast, which in our opinion wasn’t worth it. To call it a “Buffett” is a stretch. Quantity was limited, and food was cold. The choices were scarce. The heated pool was okay. Could have been warmer for sure. No hot tub which was a bummer.

Booked this room for a quick stay on a cross country trip. We knew we would be checking in late and tired so thought we could have diner and cocktails in the hotel restaurant. We were very disappointed to find the restaurant was virtual and a part of the Check-in area. The wonderful lady at the counter went above and beyond to make up a charcuterie plate from ingredients she found in the kitchen to take to our room. The room was clean and spacious. Good value for the price. Centrally located but a little too far to walk to the charming old downtown area.

Staff was very friendly. Loved the peloton in the fitness center, was able to get a quick ride in before getting back on the road.

Rooms were nice and clean. Pool was clean. Just if there could be curtains in the room, not just the blinds.

required a tub with two queens- went to the bar and ran out of tequila at 8 PM- however, went down to breakfast @7 AM, and they were offering Tequila Sunrises. I found this very odd. There are no towels in the pool area, but an overflowing, dirty towel hamper. (Not what I expected from a Hyatt at all

Elevator is not working and they told us after we checked in.

Room was good but breakfast was cold at 7am. Didn’t like having to pay to park in the motel parking area

Newer hotel in a convenient part of town. Room was great, kids enjoyed the indoor pool and walking distance to solid coffee options.

The place just ok! You can hear your next door slamming the door and pounding on top of the floor. They could have better clean the bath room.

After seeing the breakfast options also it was Not free, decided to go elsewhere for food. Room was ok, bathroom’s ceiling fan was full of dust, dusty room my eyes were super red from it, once outside felt better

It was very clean, the beds were comfy and the location was perfect to get to everything. Definitely would stay there again!

Shower was dirty

When I checked into my room, I discovered that there were no pillow cases on the bed pillows, which were piled in the middle of the bed, and no bathtowels in the bathroom. After driving for multiple hours to get there, I had to track down housekeeping to get the basics. I should have done a deeper investigation - because the next morning, at 5 am when I got in the shower I unfortunately ONLY THEN discovered that the soap and shampoo bottles bolted to the wall of the shower were all empty, and there was no shower mat for the bathroom floor. So I washed with the tiny bar of hand soap from the sink, because I was already soaking wet when I discovered all this. When I checked out, I explained all this to the front desk person, who appeared irritated and basically said "was that all?" No apology, no offer of a discount, not even an offer of a free breakfast. I dont expect to have to do a housekeeping check on my hotel room, especially when paying $100+ /night PLUS a parking fee in the off season.

DO NOT STAY HERE First and foremost, $100 pet fee that was not disclosed when I booked the room. And she even asked me if it was OK and my stay was nonrefundable. What was I supposed to do? Leave my dog in the car and pay for the hotel and go find another place to stay it was ridiculous. That’s one of the worst Hotel experiences I’ve ever had Long black hair strands in the sink when I first got to the room THIN CEilings/floor so I could hear everything going on in the room above me even at four in the morning them walking around When the furnace turns on it sounds like a jet airplane taking off, and it happened all night long The parking lot was icy very dangerous to walk on Kitchen equipment, broken down for months if they still have on their menu food that required that kitchen equipment Luckily, the front desk person who was also the restaurant person who is also that everything person told me that their hamburgers are really bad so don’t eat there so I had to walk out into the icy roads to go get dinner Needs to say, I will never stay at a Hyatt again

Very nice and clean hotel

The staff was fantastic! This is a new property. Our room was nice, but still had construction dust all over it. Whenever anyone went to the bathroom or showered in the whole building, the water sounds from the pipes went down our walls sounding like a waterfall gushing out of the walls. The air-conditioning rattles the room as well. We got little to no sleep. Railroad tracks were right behind the hotel. The trains shook the whole building several times during the night. Breakfast bar was very unsanitary, tables, floors were dirty. Buffet had food thrown all over it and a lot of the choices were empty or close to empty. They've definitely got some.kinks to work out.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming immediately after entering the building to check in , the hotel room itself was super clean the smell of the entire building was really nice and clean smelling which I appreciated. Was in a good location to restaurants and walkable areas

Very nice modern hotel. The rooms are super huge with plenty of space and storage. Beds are wonderful and the place is very clean and cosy. Also I noticed the ceilings are very high which I like as a taller person

Great hotel except for the noise. Slamming doors all night long. Some other hotels have slow closing doors; not here. Also doesn’t matter how low the AC is set, ours only came on at random times during the night.

Could hear everything inside and outside hotel. AC sounded like a jet engine. Beds were uncomfortable.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Only complaint is that the beds aren't very comfortable. My back was hurting because the beds were so stiff.

The hotel is clean and seems new. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and helpful unfortunately, the walls are paper-thin! We had a hard time sleeping due to the television in the room next door. The volume wasn’t up exceedingly high; the walls are just so thin that it sounded like they were in our room. I’m wondering, was the company trying to save money by not making the walls a bit more sound-proof? I won’t stay here again because of this issue. Everything else is great. We need to be able to sleep.

Hotel was nice. You can hear the train hourly so it’s pretty hard to get any sleep. When I booked the room the price said all fees and taxes. When I show up they want $8 dollars to park. I won’t come back just because of this. Getting tired of these BS fees.

If you look at the prices of hotel stays in Flagstaff, you'll be blown away with the number of relatively low-priced offerings. I picked Hyatt Place mid-pack - hoping for a new experience. Let's get the good things out of the way first. The beds are very, very comfortable. The rooms are clean and spacious. Now, about the other stuff. (1) In Flag, it is inevitable that you're within an eyesight from a railroad. Do your homework and insist on the room with windows facing away from it (keep in mind that windows facing 4 lanes of I-40 may not be much better). (2) This particular hotel elected to have upright wall HVAC units. I have not yet witnessed a louder appliance in the room - including old-school, clapped-out, window A/C units. When this thing wakes up, it is like watching a Rolls Royce Trent aircraft engine spinning up. (3) Nickel-and-diming. The hotel prices you see are at the very least misleading. The parking isn't free ($8), the breakfast isn't, either ($16 for two of us), and there's a plethora of fees you pay. So, starting the with advertised price around $73, I ended up paying $128. If your party has multiple vehicles holding half a kindergarten, beware.

I arrived on 10/7/25 to find that my reservation had been given to someone else and was told the hotel was completely booked. The thing that made this so frustrating, is that I called on 10/5/25, two days prior to my arrival to say that I would be arriving late (one day after my scheduled arrival) and emphasized to the woman who answered the phone that I was fine paying the first night of the reservation, and would gladly do so in order for them to hold the reservation for me. She told me it was no problem, she would note it as a late arrival in the reservation system. I did not think to ask her name because it seemed like everything was all set. Fast forward to my arrival on Tuesday, when the front-desk staff Noah informs me that my reservation was treated as a “no-show” and my room was re-issued to someone else. I showed him the email with my reservation number, and explained how I called the hotel on Sunday. I also did not receive any notification they were cancelling the reservation. I asked to speak to a manager, but conveniently, she just left for dinner and won’t be back for an hour. Sensing my frustration, he says he’ll just reinstate my reservation and give me a room. The other front desk staff, Loralei tells him not to do it. She said the manager Michelle Manning would follow up with me, I'm still waiting. Luckily I found another hotel, and will not stay in this or another Hyatt. Avoid this one at all costs.

Wonderful room, awesome staff.

The beautiful and very convenient location. Modern, without being boastful, elegant without being “fakely flashy”. The Staff is the most valuable asset of this hotel, and they really make the difference. Thank you Kiley and Jorge for you wonderful hospitality, and your outstanding service.

This was my first stay at a Hyatt Place, and the service didn’t meet expectations. We arrived at 1:30 p.m., fully aware that check-in wasn’t until 3 p.m., and simply hoped to pre-register so we could get lunch and return later to avoid a potential long check-in line. The front desk agent was inattentive and dismissive, more focused on her phone than assisting and told us we were not able to pre-register. When we returned at 5:20 p.m., a different front desk agent informed us that the top-floor room we had reserved was no longer available. Instead, they offered a lower-level room that still needed inspection, so we were asked to wait. Noise was also an issue, with thin walls and little sound insulation. Safety concerns included doors that didn’t fully latch and a large gap under the hotel room door, letting in hallway light and noise. The property has potential, but staff training and communication need improvement.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel and rooms were very clean and nice. All of the staff were so nice and helpful. Brooklyn at the front desk was amazing — she was friendly and helpful and kept a smile on her face even when she was busy.

Well, hotels.com completely sucks, I had the worst experience with this second hand company....but the Hyatt hotel help me out so much....I'm so grateful of Paige and lauran and I can't remember the other gentleman...they were awesome and I am forever grateful for them!

The staff were awesome! Great quiet location. Room was clean, front desk called after we got into the room to make sure everything was just as we wanted it. The ONLY draw back was the fan wouldn’t run continuously to keep the air moving. Front desk asked a lot of details about the problem when we left to make sure they could get it fixed. I was very impressed and would definitely stay again.

Awful. Couldn’t get a refund for cancellation ahead of time bc we accidentally double booked. Front desk staff practically laughed at us when we checked in and told us it wasn’t their problem and we should take it up with Expedia. When we got into the room my 7 year old son went to the washroom and he even said it was dirty. The next day for breakfast, we asked how much breakfast was and it was $8 a head for muddy coffee and cold/lukewarm eggs. We obviously passed. Our friends we travelled with went down for breakfast ahead of us and didn’t know they had to pay for breakfast, so luckily they didn’t have to pay for a crappy meal.

Great hotel in convenient area. Just be aware it's next to train tracks, so you will hear trains quite often. The rooms are stylish and well-maintained, offering a comfortable stay. However, the noise from the trains might be a disturbance for light sleepers.

I was disappointed in paying for breakfast. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. For not being free it was not tasty. When paying for breakfast it’s expected that it is at least tasty but the pancakes were gummy, hard to cut and difficult to chew.

Charged $25 to check in 40 minutes early. Breakfast no longer included. Save the extra money and stay up the street at the La Quinta

$11 continental breakfast ? When to Starbucks and got better coffee and a breakfast sandwich for half the price.

Beautiful hotel! My only complaint is they could serve breakfast for free and not charge $8.00, no need to have to pay for breakfast, increase price by $5.00 and there you have your money. It was very inconvenient and not paying $8.00 for basic hotel breakfast.

The only downside to our experience was a bad experience at breakfast. They charge about $8 for breakfast, yet when we went, there were no plates available and a number of the food items were also not available. We let the hostess know and she soon stomped through with a stack of plates that she slammed on the counter and then slammed down forks, etc. we left.
