The hotel is very comfortable and the history is impressive. The breakfast was very good and the hotel is steps away from Rue St Jean so food and sightseeing options were very good! The onsite museum is very informative and well curated - do that! The dinner at Savior is buffet and very vegetable focused so perhaps spend your dining dollars elsewhere for the value unless you are interested in holistic dining. Housekeeping missed us after 3 days and I had to ask for towels 2 xs. I think hotels use conservation as reason for scaling back housekeeping but i think its more labor than water use savings personnally and it detracts from the experience. Other than that - beautiful and special property with a staff less customer focused than many properties. I would still recommend a stay here for healing and/or to enjoy the beauty and food of old Quebec. Merci!

This stay was such a pleasant experience - perfect for solo travellers! The Authentic room was immaculate - clean, cozy, with just the right amount of storage and amenities (in room sink & mirror, with lovely citrus hand soap also available for purchase in the boutique). The bed was comfortable and the duvet + quilt made for great bedding. The windows are antique, but the wood shutters keep out any natural light for a great night's sleep. The door is also original to the circa 1600 building and comes with a curtain to keep out any light and noise from the hallway (of which there is virtually none). The Shared lavatories were spotless. The building feels very secure at night, due to its double access checkpoints. Elevators were in excellent working order, but you can also use the original monastery wooden stairs, which are a delight to use. The location is quite close to many tourist destinations and eateries; not far from the Gare du Palais train station, (but steep an uphill walk upon arrival, thankfully there are handrails). The ambiance is incredibly peaceful, and the included breakfast was healthy, plentiful and tasted very good. Building hosts many original artefacts and includes access to their museum and chapel. I would return and highly recommend!!!
