The hotel has prepared everything my family needed. Free welcome drink from 2pm to mid night; well equipped bath house; laundry room; vending machines; parking; good location. All the staff I have met are very helpful and polite. Just be prepared, it is a very busy hotel. You would see lots of guests in the lobby or waiting for elevators all the time.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights, it was amazing. There is a public bath that opens til 1am, going to the public bath was the highlight of our day, it was so relaxing. Staffs were all very friendly and helpful. A convenient store is literally next to the hotel, we love convenient stores. Walkable to Nishiki Market and Kamo River. We walked to Kiyomizu-dera, around 30 mintues. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to Kyoto. Vessel Hotel Campana Kyoto Gojo made our Koyto trip so memorable!

駐車場について　ホテルの駐車場は高さ制限がありミニバンは止められなくコインパーキングに回されました。しかも～早く停めないと近くが空いてナイので遠くへ、、、。歩く事になります。 (ﾎﾃﾙからの割引券などナイので全て自己負担です) ご飯についてホテルの横にはセブンがあって軽食買うには便利だと思います。しっかりとしたご飯を食べたい時はホテルの反対側に蕎麦屋、やよい軒、24時間営業の定食屋がありました。ホテルの方はとてもキレイで快適に過ごせました。ただ！朝ご飯のバイキングが 6:30スタートでチョット過ぎたくらいに行ったケド場所が狭いせいなのか席に案内されるまで並びます。朝イチからココで並ぶのはチョット勘弁してよ～って感じました。食事提供場所がギューツと密集していて追加で取りたい物が取りづらいです。でも、ホテル&スタッフの方々は素敵でした。お世話になりました。

It was a horrible hotel. Dirty and had a weird smell. Small elevator. Did not provide any water even though it was close to 100 degrees out. We stayed 2 nights and they didn't clean our room not even once. I will never stay here again. Also, I paid for our breakfast to be included and when I got there I had to pay an additional fee with a reason given.

Pros: The staff was lovely!!! The hotel is close to a train station and it is easy to walk anywhere. Cons: The floor in the room was outright dirty and there was filth behind the toilet lid (mostly yucky hair). It looked like the edges of the carpet (by the walls) were never vacuumed and there were many stains (milk or coffee) on the floor. I could also see some caked in grains of rice scattered around.

Everything was good although they didn't clean rooms unless requested at the front desk. The hotel is one subway station away from Kyoto Station and 15 minutes away from Gion which made transport decently convenient.

The Hotel was good , the breakfast had a lot of variety. The public bath is big. The room has a good size, but he air conditioning was not working. We asked for a new room but the hotel was full. we asked for another portable air conditioning but they didn't provide it. The room was really hot and airless ,we tried to open the windows but the noise was really loud because there was a construction happening.

The evening staff wasn't the friendliest and was a bit abrupt when we were checking in. We stayed for 4 nights on the 2nd day had to tell the front staff that the air conditioner was not working right and hot air was coming out. The male employee said perhaps they could move us to another one later when we came back from our day excursion so this was what we were expecting to happen. Once upon our arrival, another staff perhaps higher up informed me that the air conditioner has been looked at and it should work however it felt the same like warm and stagnant air was coming out. I didn't bother bringing it to the staff again since it didn't do any good the first time but we will not be staying here again. Our next hotel was the same company Vessel Hotel in Nagoya and their air conditioner was very cold and worked well. The breakfast was good with good selection and complimentary drinks and amenities made up for it. All the dryers in Japan are weak and for a load to dry, you will be spending about 300 - 700 yen just fyi. Our stay was hot and humid in our room. It felt like a sauna and not pleasant

Expérience mitigée dans cet hôtel pourtant très fonctionnel. Pour ce qui va bien, le personnel est très bien, les espaces communs et les petits déjeuners aussi. Par contre la chambre était la plus petite de notre séjour au Japon et surtout l'unique fenêtre donnait sur un mur à 30cm... même au huitième étage. C'était pas le cas de toutes les chambres on voyait que beaucoup donnaient sur la ville, mais d'autres donnaient sur une mini cour intérieur pas guère enviable non plus. l'hôtel est très propre, bravo aux équipes, mais le ménage dans les chambres n'est pas fait pendant le séjour, on vous dépose simplement des serviettes propres.

Lovely hotel with everything we needed. Comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and provided a great service. The only downside was the constant noise in the room from something like a generator or maybe the aircon. It was the only hotel we stayed in where we needed earplugs. Shame because the actual room and facilities were very good.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It’s right outside of a subway stop, less than 2 minutes walk from its front doors. There’s a 7/11 and a 24 hour grocer nearby if you’re a visitor with jet lag. You’re only a few blocks from cool restaurants and busier commercial shopping, while other blocks are very quiet and residential, speckled with little cafes and shopping The hotel itself is visibly older but not worn down. They maintain its character nicely and it feels clean and orderly inside despite its aged appearance. Staff are very professional and give precise service. Being a more traditional, old school vibe, this hotel might be best for older adults or families wanting no-frills service. We were a little misled about the public bath policies. When I called, I was told if someone’s tattoos could be covered with stickers, we could enter the bath. Upon arrival I was notified by an older staff member that a max of 2 stickers could be used, otherwise we were unable to use it. This is very unfortunate since we paid for the experience, but we will be more thorough with our policy checking next time. This is the only reason we will not return to this location, but otherwise the beds and laundry were nice. The rooms had convenient and stylish dimmable lights for both beds, the pillows were great, but the pajamas were a little scratchy.

チェックインの時にフロントスタッフの方と顔を合わせただけなのに、外に食事に出て帰ってきたら私のことを名前で呼んで声をかけてくださって知らぬ間に落としていたETCカードを渡してくださいました。落としたことにも気づいてなくて拾ってくださった方、届けてくださったホテルの方、本当にありがとうございました。なにより、大勢の宿泊客がいる中を数分の会話しかしていないのに顔と名前を一致させているホテルの方には頭が上がりません。お部屋もとてもキレイで、朝食もとても美味しかったです。本当にありがとうございました。

We enjoyed our stay, excellent customer service, clean facilities, free amenities, free Onson, plenty of washing machines and dryer, free water to fill bottle and ice cubes. So convenient to public transport, just walking distance from Gojo Station, can also walk to Kyoto Station. Nearby buses to go to tourist attractions. No complaints. I would recommend to our friends and family who will look for a stay in Kyoto.

Service and staff were good. The only problem I have is I booked through Expedia and it clearly said there are two beds and can sleep 4 people. When we got there, the staff says only small children can fit on the bed where in Expedia i we put the ease of the children also so we had to upgrade the room with three belts.

Notre famille de 2 adultes, 2 enfants a séjourné 3-4 nuits dans cet hôtel de Kyoto (Fin oct 2023). A l'arrivée, on me demande de payer les petits déjeuners des enfants alors que je pense, de bonne foi, avoir payé pour tout le monde, ma confirmation faisant foi. L'explication est que les enfants ne payent pas la chambre, donc le petit déjeuner n'est pas calculé et est dû à l'arrivée. Cela leur semble logique, pas pour moi, d'autres hôtels japonais calculent les petits dejs en fonction du nombre d'invités. C'est plus Au final, le petit dej a été offert pour l'une de nos filles. Après une bonne heure de palabres dans un anglais compliqué. Au fond, leur politique commerciale vise à ne pas pouvoir comparer les autres hôtels avec tous les frais. C'est une attitude mensongère et très désagréable. A changer d'urgence. Dans la chambre, des coussins et des serviettes pour 2 personnes (au lieu de 4), idem pour les autres jours si cela n'est pas précisé à l'avance. Bref, ce n'est pas un hôtel pour les familles. Un petit dej moyen pour un hôtel de cette catégorie et avec certains ingrédients douteux (poulet et saumon de qualité svp). Enfin, l'Onsen est un vrai plus pour l'hôtel, si je n'avais pas remarqué un cafard se promenant sur un mur extérieur à coté de l'ascenseur. J'ai pris une photo que j'ai montré à la réception. J'espère qu'ils en tiendront compte. Dommage, car cet hôtel avait sur le papier tout pour plaire, malgré un prix relativement élevé. Nous n'y séjournerons plus.

We had a great stay at the Vessel Hotel Campana Kyoto Gojo. The hotel is conveniently located close to Gojo train station and there were plenty of restaurants and a convenience store nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was between the 2 more popular tourist areas of Kyoto and Shijo station but walkable to either areas and also right on the train line (few mins walk up exit 3). There were plenty of food places around, a pharmacy and supermarket across the road and 7-11 next door. The hotel provided an area for eating downstairs from 2pm-11pm with free drinks from the machine, and staff went out of their way to assist with luggage transport and sorting anything wrong in the room. Definitely somewhere I would stay again.

Very nice and clean hotel within walking distance to Kyoto hotel. Breakfast buffet has a good selection of Japanese food and a more modest selection of Western food. It was nice to have options for both public and private baths. Plenty of signage in English for food and guidance to use the hotel. It was a disappointment that upon check-in we were told to pay an extra charge for our 17 year old and had to ask for amenities for him. We were unsuccessful in disputing the charge as our invoice did not separate room and breakfast charges. The hotel description has now been updated with this information.

The breakfast is extraordinary. It made us excited to go eat every morning! The care that is put into the food preparation and service is evident by the women who run food services. The room was small-ish but fine for a stay of a few days. The location was convenient to the subway and about a 20 - 25 min walk to Gion and some other popular sites. The room was clean and spacious - comfortable for 4 travelers (with 4 beds). The bath was also a great way to relax following a long day of sightseeing. I’d take the opportunity to explore alternative options for breakfast as the buffet left much to be desired, but the overall stay was pleasant.
