It was an horrible experience. My check-in time was at 3pm. When I got there the room wasn't ready and they didn't have any cleaning staff in sight. They ask me to wait until the cleaning lady gets back to work. They finally gave me my room at 9h15pm. This is unacceptable. That's 6 hours of waiting time. The AC in the rooms wasn't working. They didn't provide any towels at first and when we ask the front desk for towels, we got dirty towels. There was lots stains on them, as well as a few pellows. I basically want a refund for this horrible experience.

Air conditioning in building was not working. Had to stay in basement where there was an AC unit. It was very noisy all night long. As man who had blood on him and was being arrested in the lobby when we arrived, returned and was banging on the door next door to us. Staff was very nice and attentive despite the crowd of officers not allowing us to check in amidst all the commotion. Room was decent, rest of hotel outdated.

Unfortunately, The Brooklyn is very dirty inside and out. It has much potential to be beautiful with old building touches. I did not want to take my shoes off. None of the pictures of lobby were even remotely like the real thing. Neighborhood sketchy at best. Staff not friendly without hellos or goodbyes or even a thank you.

Have never felt the need to write a review but… when I walked into the room, someone else’s clothes were still in the closet, and there was trash still in the trash can. Room only comes with a small body towel and one wash cloth. They brought more when I asked. There was so much accumulated dust nothing had been wiped down. Also the AC in my room was out, which they told me before I checked in, but only because I called to confirm.
