Great location – on a quiet residential street just off the Ring Road – with parking in the front. The guesthouse is a “traditional looking” 3-story building with a large, beautiful glass addition in the rear that serves as a breakfast room in the morning and a lounge/common area during the rest of the day. I stayed in a single room. As advertised on the web site, it was rather small with limited storage for clothes and it had a shared bathroom, but everything in the room was bright and clean, the furniture was in good shape, the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of electrical outlets. The window had blackout curtains which would be especially important in mid-summer. The bathrooms on my floor (of which there were several) were also clean and readily available. There was a communal kitchen adjacent to my room and guests respected the 10 pm quiet time so there was no noise coming from the kitchen by the time I was ready for bed. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection but waffles were the only hot item available. Also, if you want to have breakfast, be sure to let the staff know the night before, especially during the off-season. The host was friendly and recommended several restaurants in the area for dinner.

This property was BEAUTIFUL! We were surprised to find we had a balcony with a beach view. The decor was beautiful, they had board games you could use. I would highly recommend this place. Clean, amenities, location is walking distance to restaurants, walking trails and the beach

Lovely little guesthouse! Highly recommend! The room and linens were impeccably clean, check-in was easy, and the kitchens and bathrooms were clean and well-equipped. The beds were very comfortable! Conveniently located close to everything we wanted to do in Vik.

The room was neat but not very clean. It was somewhat dusty and there were insects behind the window shade. The bathrooms did not have great ventilation and were damp throughout the stay. Overall, the property was okay, but I didn’t think it was worth the price.

The property was in a great location, the only issue we had was we had a room that was next to the public restroom and shower. I’m guessing because the room was next to the shower the wall that was against where the shower was located has black mold on the lower part of the wall and around the baseboard area. My wife has bad reactions to mold so this did tend to make her sick in the morning after sleeping in the room. It was affordable for the area and you can walk to the black sand beach from here so you take the good with the bad.

In der Küche gibt es nur einen Kühlschrank und eine Mikrowelle. Man kann dort nicht kochen (Info wurde durch die Unterkunft vorher mitgeteilt). Sehr anonym, aber von der Lage praktisch.

There was not enough water pressure to rinse my hair and the walls are thin. I could hear everything happening in the bathroom all night. I barely slept because people were slamming doors, talking loudly, and using the bathroom all night. Staff was nice and facilities were clean.

The location is great, easy to find, walking distance to the black sand beach and restaurants in the area. The property was very clean and quiet, the shared bathrooms were not an issue at all, my only complaint is the black out window roll-up shade had wide gaps on both side and with our room facing east, the sunlight was very bright and made it very hard to sleep.

Very clean place for a great price and the location is really close to town which is great. My only complaint is the lack of plug in options. Our room only had two outlets, and when you're traveling and needing to charge cameras and phones, etc, that made it really tough

Guesthouse Carina is a very modern yet homely guesthouse with all the facilities new and very clean. Really welcoming and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms (we booked for a family of 3 and were lucky enough to get a balcony room with ocean views). The dining / shared area was a highlight with it being in a huge glass cube that gave you amazing waterfront views. Would have been nice to have warm food options at breakfast such as eggs, sausages etc given how cold it is in winter. Other than that highly recommend!

Simple guesthouse. You can meet other travelers here. There is a strange smell in the place. Also the check-in said I could check in between 12pm to 4pm. But when I got there, she said the room would be ready after 4pm. Small thing. They do try to sell you on buying the breakfast.

This is a lovely place to stay - really comfortable, cozy and warm and very clean. It is close to Vik centre so its possible to walk down to town although it is slightly uphill coming back. We only stayed one night but we enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
This is a lovely place to stay - really comfortable, cozy and warm and very clean. It is close to Vik centre so its possible to walk down to town although it is slightly uphill coming back. We only stayed one night but we enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Great location – on a quiet residential street just off the Ring Road – with parking in the front. The guesthouse is a “traditional looking” 3-story building with a large, beautiful glass addition in the rear that serves as a breakfast room in the morning and a lounge/common area during the rest of the day. I stayed in a single room. As advertised on the web site, it was rather small with limited storage for clothes and it had a shared bathroom, but everything in the room was bright and clean, the furniture was in good shape, the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of electrical outlets. The window had blackout curtains which would be especially important in mid-summer. The bathrooms on my floor (of which there were several) were also clean and readily available. There was a communal kitchen adjacent to my room and guests respected the 10 pm quiet time so there was no noise coming from the kitchen by the time I was ready for bed. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection but waffles were the only hot item available. Also, if you want to have breakfast, be sure to let the staff know the night before, especially during the off-season. The host was friendly and recommended several restaurants in the area for dinner.

The location is great, easy to find, walking distance to the black sand beach and restaurants in the area. The property was very clean and quiet, the shared bathrooms were not an issue at all, my only complaint is the black out window roll-up shade had wide gaps on both side and with our room facing east, the sunlight was very bright and made it very hard to sleep.
