Pool was a disappointment. You need a reservation for a 3 hour time slot and get kicked out after the 3 hours. The hotel guests free area of the pool gets shade after 12pm and is not by the pool. Pool caters more to day guests than hotel guests.

The pool was nice but you can only sit in the lounge chairs for 2 hours and then they make you get up. I was told, prior to me booking, that there was a DJ playing the night we stayed that played to 2 am. There was no DJ, so that was disappointing.

We had been trying to find a good solution for when we drive into Brooklyn to see concerts. We tried a few different places and since parking is such a premium and nearly zero hotels have onsite parking it was so easy to use the valet and then not worry at all about our vehicle for the duration of our stay. Yes, The William Vale is more expensive and this might not be an option if you are trying to save some money but for convenience, and amenities this hotel wins in my book. I don't think we will stay anyplace else from now on.

Love the hip trendy area. Love the view. Love the bed. The staff was ok. The elevators was scary. The limited access to the pool and roof top traveling with my teenage was an inconvenient. They get a 7 out 10.

I went on a staycation (LI to Brooklyn) and decided to stay here, mainly because they offered balconies with each room at no additional cost. While it’s on the pricier end, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is beautiful, I felt like I was away on a resort, despite the construction going on outside (regular NY). The food at Westlight was better than expected. I love that guests get to reserve a chair at the pool for free, although a discounted cabana or chaise would be nice as well. I booked parking through an outside app because $50/day is a little steep. Anyway, I would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel. My only complaint is that they need to fix the elevators. Of the 4, only 2 were available and we had to wait 10 min each time. But I wouldn’t hesitto stay here again. Beautiful and comfortable!

Beautiful hotel, one of the cleanest hotels ive ever stayed in.. not one particle of dust or hair or stain of any kind. Specially for a dog friendly hotel. I would stay there again. Only downsight was our view. Staff and service were outstanding

Some of the staff members are great. The guys who work at valet parking and carry your bags to your room are friendly and efficient . However, rest of the staff lacks proper training. Check- in was a mess and took longer than necessary . Room was not well cleaned, hairs in closet drawers. Only two elevators which are extremely busy ,so long wait for elevator. Noisy with continuous music in weekends .

I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room upon our arrival. The floor had crumbs, and there were clothing tags left on the couch. The most concerning part was opening the toilet to find dirty tissue left behind, which was unacceptable. I had been looking forward to staying at the hotel, but this experience completely changed my impression. While the staff were very kind and did their best to assist, the situation left us feeling uncomfortable, especially since there were no other available rooms. Unfortunately, we decided to leave the hotel altogether.

We actually loved the property great location. Unfortunately, when we arrived, our shower was filthy and not cleaned. Had tons of black hair in it. Also, the temperature of the room was incredibly hot so we had trouble sleeping at night and we couldn't fix the temperature.

I've stayed at the William Vale more than 30 nights over the past few years - I've noticed that recent stays have gotten worse and worse in terms of cleanliness (the room I initially checked into had visibly dirty sheets and bedding from the previous guest) and overall condition of the rooms. There are visible layers of dirt and dust on surfaces and and every surface is dented, scratched, or dinged. The staff really could not be better but housekeeping leaves too much to be desired for me to continue to stay.

This hotel is amazing. I’ve stayed at a lot, a lot, of hotels, and this is by far one of the best. The room was clean and set up well. Had an amazing balcony with a beautiful view. The bathroom was clean and very nice. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The property is large and has restaurants, a pool, and very good location to things. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location if you are focused on Brooklyn and surrounding area. Convenient to restaurants and subway stations and local shops. The hotel has a vibe to it. Our disappointment was with the room. The TV went blank every ten to 15 minutes and took several minutes to turn back on. While we asked for service, it was never fixed so we had 3 days with the inconvenience. We set our room to be cleaned but when we returned after being out all day the room hadn’t be cleaned and no fresh towels left. it took another trip to the desk to ask for service. The front desk seemed short of staff as they only had one person who was tied up with another guest causing us to have to wait over 15 minutes to get our bill. We have stilled there often and this trip was the most disappointing especially given the $700 cost for the room.

Outstanding from the minute I booked to checkout. I'm a local and only stay at the William Vale on special occasions, and for this year's birthday, they went above and beyond. I felt so well looked after and enjoyed the room, the high floor balcony, the views, the pool, Westlight, the drinks, the decor, the ambience, the bottle of wine upon my arrival, everything was just wonderful.

5 stars from the moment you enter this place. The director of front office was amazing her name starts with an O. Stephen the bellman was great! Barry at Westlight was so attentive! Michael at the pool was so sweet! Room service was amazing. I sunk into the bed. The view. The pool. Just everything!

Will NEVER stay here again. Cares more about outsiders being able to access the pool and rooftop than taking care of guests- do not expect a pool chair for less than $100. Took 3 asks over 2 days to make the pull out bed when we had confirmed 4 people were staying in the suite. Don’t even bother with room service or trying to reach the front desk/concierge over the phone. 45 minutes for room service to delivery only coffee. Many requests (such as a steamer) were never brought to room, despite being asked 3 times over 4 days. All of our asks that we’re confirmed prior to arrival and then requested multiple times were never fulfilled over our 5 day stay. Williamsburg is great but this hotel is not. I’ve stayed in NYC before and thought the price point would mean good service. It does not- The hospitality was HORRIBLE for the price point. 0/10 do not recommend.

Staff are friendly and well meaning but ineffective. Everything that I asked for needed to be requested multiple times, even when it was just information. The staff here seemed to be either not empowered, or incompetent when it came to various tasks, and I got the impression that when they were not sure what to do they just avoided me, which in retrospect is funny but at the time was mind of degrading. I'm speaking of front desk staff, concierges, etc. The shining exception to all this were the valets, room service waitstaff, and cleaning staff, who were all unfailingly friendly, and who seemed to be the only people doing any work.

Hotel is cool, and restaurants, rooftop all great. Rooms are a bit small but have views and balcony is a big plus. Housekeeping was great and rooms were very clean. Only complain is that Front Desk & Concierge need to answer phones from room guests. Otherwise excellent

Stayed at this hotel because my teenagers had a concert at the Mirage Avant Garde. Easy to get to the venue by subway from Bedford Ave which is one block away from the hotel. Nice quiet area with some nice restaurants.

The William Vale is just a fabulous place to stay in Williamsburg. Great location, wonderful pool, fantastic views and balconies, great coffee on the first floor cafe and super friendly people. Oh, and the room was just lovely too! I will be back!

The room and staff were great (although as most NYC hotels, room was king/balcony room was smaller than hoped for). Balcony /views were great. Could be really difficult to reach front desk prior to stay, but once there they were very responsive. Area around the hotel was very noisy; while quiet in the morning you could hear loud heavy bass music thumping until midnight (with balcony doors shut tight). Room service was prompt and delicious! (Although $38 hamburger was mini in size, but yummy)

The service and hospitality at The William Vale hotel was exceptional. The on-site Italian restaurant, Leuca, had delicious food, a variety of menu options and stellar service. The outdoor pool was beautiful and the perfect length but it could’ve been a foot or so deeper because my husband and I are avid swimmers. The Queen room with a balcony had sensational views of NYC and a nice layout. However, the flooring was troublesome with a very noticeable bump in front of the doorway that sank when stepped on. Overall, the service, pool, balcony views, and restaurant made this stay a memorable experience.

The elevator rattles. You should have printed paper where things are like : gym floor, hours, equipment, where second like for bathroom. That there was a $45 a day fee for water bottles, coffee. We came in very late Wednesday, had to call up to have sheets etc for pull out sofa. Sofa bed of sub par quality, door to balcony very hard to open, Facets right side difficult to turn. We left a tip for house keeping didn’t realize a $ 95 a day for coming twice a day and facilities. Next time I will be more careful of what paying for. We had a wedding Thursday morning and left Friday about 9 am. No one upon our late entry offered us a cart to bring things up, just turn left and take the elevator. We were truly looking for a place to stay for future dates, close to our family. We know neighborhood better now. Was a lot of money to just sleep, shower, now we know. Beautiful sun rise in the morning, can be noisy with all the construction. No one mentioned parking to us, but this trip was so short we took the train in.

I had to wait too long for room getting ready. Found the lobby area very poorly mantained and visibly dirty around ceiling lights. Lastly the bathroom faucet are showing visible ware are tear..

The hotel itself and our room in particular were phenomenal. We happened to be there during a conference which seemed to take over the lobby and public spaces and a central restaurant, so that was a bit inconvenient and unpleasant. That said, the staff could not have been livelier, I believe we were upgraded to a corner room with a massive terrace and the location for walking., dining, recreating, could not be beat. Can’t wait to come back!!
