The rooms were nice and clean. Nice showers. The pool area was great! Huge pool and sitting area with fire pit. The only things that could have made it any better would have been free breakfast and a poolside bar! Great stay!

Property had one (of two) elevators down, which left a long walk to the other and another long walk to our room. Staff was only mildly interested in helping to solve a problem in our room. A notch down the rank for a Marriot.

Excellent location, parking is plenty. The walk to the beach was quick, and an ice cream shop across the street was nice for late night hangouts with the kids (9 & 11). There are restaurants that are three blocks over in each direction and everything is walkable. The hotel is in a quieter section of beach ave, but that’s what I prefer. If you’re looking to be near the public beach parking and people, you’d be better off being further north, near embassy suites. We have a Tesla and there are two shareable plugs (total 4) but they are ChargePoint and it’s not free. For the price, the hotel is excellent for its location, access to food/ entertainment/ beach. The staff is pleasant and always available.

Overall the building was very nice. Recent upgrades were very professional. Quality work. The furniture at the pool was very disappointing. Almost all the chairs were broken but still useable. I felt some hanging / loose parts could propose the risk of cuts / injury to guests. Was very surprised as the remainder of the property was well kept.

Property was close to beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff when checking in was abrupt and rude. We wish the rooms were updated. The room had peeling paint and wallpaper and no seal around the shower so floor got saturated.

These days hotels are so expensive and then this hotel has the audacity to not even offer housekeeping every day. The room wasn’t that clean. The sheets had pen and marker stains and one of the beds had a hair on the pillow and another stain on the pillow. The housekeepers didn’t even change the sheets because after they came, the sheets still had the same marker stain on it. If you’re gonna have housekeeping only every other day at least make the rooms clean. I don’t blame the housekeepers though because it’s obvious that they’re short staffed. It’s the hotel’s fault for not paying for more housekeepers so they can do their job properly and that’s why I am giving this hotel an average review because it if the hotel management. If it wasn’t for the lack of cleanliness of the rooms this would be a nice hotel because it’s in a good location to the beach and good restaurants and it’s only 10 minutes from downtown.

Dirty carpet, there was a sticky area on the carpet near the desk, and there was a blood stain on the bed sheet. I don't recommend Marriott Bonvoy hotels.

The hotel charged $300 per night and does not provide room service. Our room was never attended and according to the staff the service is provided every other day. We were there for four days and none of these dates we were provided with clean towels, empathy garbage bins or our bed fixed. I had to call daily to guest services and asked them numerous times for clean towels. Yet, they had the auditory to charge full price of over $900 for a stay where no service was provided. You are better off staying at a Motel 6.

The property was not very clean. There was mold in our bathroom. We were told our room would be cleaned every other day, but it was not. We had to empty our own trash just to get it out of the room. We did get an ocean view which was nice.

AC worked but couldn't get the fan to stay running. WI-FI is absolutely horrible. The shower head was messed up and when you turned the water on it sprayed on the ceiling. No towel bar in bathroom to hang shower towel so had to put it on the floor. Shower curtain was all messed up. Hot water would get really hot and your constantly adjusting the temp. There was a rubber bath mat to put in the tub which was strange. You had to be very careful when you opened the fridge or it would fall out of the cabinet. Honestly the biggest issue was the WIFI. I couldn't use my phone at the hotel at all and it is a newer phone, very frustrating. I had this hotel booked for December but I canceled it because of WIFI issue.

I’ve stayed at this property on several different occasions. It has always been my go to place when visiting St Augustine. The Marriott is nice but it’s past time for an upgrade. The rooms need a brighter and happier look, carpet and all. I left out a night earlier 06/28/2025, because of storms rolling in and I didn’t want to be stuck in a gloomy feeling room. Rooms are past due for an upgrade.

Definitely not what I expect from a Marriott. Loose tile in the bathroom, floor didn’t seem to be level and the fixtures were mounted un evenly. The furniture in the room was definitely showing its age and could definitely use a freshening.

Entry door squeaked, closet door squeaked terrible. A/c sounded like a car engine. Trim work off near tub wallpaper peeling, facet lifted out of the wall when pulling up for shower. When making reservations all was said was 1 2 3 floor. Not right side of hallway not over looking pool. We would have chosen different if offered. Was not a pleasant stay for the price.

New to this town, inquired about maps or brochures. Request was ignored, moved right into check-in. Pleasant and professional enough. Sign states ice on 2nd and fourth floors. This was wrong. Sign in elevator advertises the bar, no hours posted. No information in room. My travel companion asked about information missing from our room. Was told all information was provided at check-in. Wrong! The morning barista was just plain rude. No smiles, no small talk. Abrupt with her questions. Just plain rude. We looked up what we needed on the internet. Will not be staying here again.

Front desk was overwhelmed at check in. Room wasn't ready until 9:30 pm when we arrived at 4PM. No consideration for our inconvenience, was not even given a courtesy perk for the wait for the room nor offered a bottle of water that we saw she was giving out to other customers. Would never stay here on our next trip and advise others to stay away.

Overall the staff was very good. We had a water problem but they helped to fix it. The room was what we expected. The only negative issue we had was with the breakfast. It wasn't very good. Asked for eggs over easy but they came broken and firm. The breakfast was way over priced.

Hotel was great but food service area disappointing. For breakfast we were asked what we would like to order and when we did were then told what I wanted couldn’t be prepared because of a broken piece of equipment. Why not point out what items are not available before ordering? Then we ordered oatmeal which took a long time to arrive and then came out very watery.

The property was very clean and well kept and the staff was vety friendly and helpful. The food at their restaurant was very good. The only problem is that they must have bought their toilets from a grade school supply warehouse because they were extremely short. They really need to replace them.

The hotel was quiet and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the shower was huge! Only complaint I have is that they do not have a breakfast. They have a Starbucks that you can buy coffee and pastries, but for the price I paid for the room, they should include it.
