Had soms issues with parking, very small lot

This is a no-frill hotel that is clean. You get an email ahead of time so you know what to expect and what to bring (ex hair dryer). Knowing that, our expectations were set. There were no surprises. It's only about a block from a bus stop so we took that into New Orleans. I heard walking from someone above us but it ended quickly and not too late. The pillows could have been a little more comfortable but you get four. This was a good stop for us and for the money. If you're just wanting a place to sleep and shower, it's good. If you want a pool and breakfast, it's not that hotel. They do have a full size refrigerator though.

For a motel as one self there was an elevator in service for ones needs

Perfectly fine for the price. Obviously not luxury at this price point. Beds were comfortable. Much better than a Red Roof Inn. Bathtub/Shower faucet dripped. Didn’t notice/hear it until the morning. Plenty of outlets near the bed 😂😂 (see picture). Checkout was at 11. Weird that I had to wait while someone “cleared the room”, but it wasn’t too long and they had free suckers and Hershey kisses to pass the time. Free parking. Decent internet. All I needed for my stay.

Good value for price. Clean enough at surface level, comfy bed. Super friendly staff!! We were comfortable enough that we stayed almost a week. Very tight parking, be advised in case you have large vehicle. We would stay here again for sure.

Kind of hassle to get to and find. Once we were there we had to wait about 45 minutes to get a room because the one we reserved was given to someone else. They did give us an upgrade to a king size for the delay though so they are nice people who do work with you. The worst and I mean worst part is the parking 😮‍💨.

Parking is a little bit of an issue. Couldn't believe when I checked in, they handed me a key and wanted a $50 deposit (not a problem just odd these days). This is definitely an older hotel and it certainly looks like they're trying to keep it up. The staff member was overly kind, but I'd been on flights for 9 hours that day, I was cranky I guess and found all his questions annoying. TV was an issue - I didn't care - just needed to sleep after a long day of travel and move on the next morning.

The Inn had everything I wanted except for a pool which would have been a plus. Staff was friendly and courteous

Front desk clerk very pleasant. Bed was clean and fresh. Given location on highway room was very quiet. However, the bathroom was gross. There was filth on the walls, dirt and grime piled in corners of walls and floor. Only needed a place to sleep and shower after a late flight arrival so wasn’t asking for much. Had to go without a shower since it was so filthy.

The elevator smelled of urine. The stairs are dirty and need to be swept of trash and I saw a roach on the wall!! The room was economical, and I felt safe so you get what you pay for.

It wasn’t clean throughout. Hair in the bathroom shower floor walls sink and bed :( The shower water barely drained out also.

Check in was quick, easy, and pleasant. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Even the towels were soft!

DO NOT STAY HERE. Seriously. The room was disgusting. Upon checking in you get a bent key and a tv remote. Weird. The guy at the counter was nice. When I checked in he asked what our plans were. I had explained that we were just dropping off our things and heading for one last meal in the French Quarter. I say this because he knew we were going to drop off our things and go. When we came back and upon further inspection, the room was filthy. Urine on the toilet seat, dirt marks everything, the fan was covered in dust. When I went up to the desk to tell him that we were checking out, he said I “should have told him sooner” for what exactly sir, to watch someone come in and clean the urine off the toilet? That should have been done prior to check in. Contacted Expedia for a refund and nope. They “can’t get an hold of anyone” so now I’m screwed. We had to get another hotel. Do yourself and favor and skip this place. Spend the extra 100$ and stay across the street at the Hilton. I have attached pictures.

It was cheap so the value was fine. The bathroom was not clean with different hairs everywhere. People slamming doors and noisy above us all night. Staff was very friendly.

Roaches, maggots, rough area. This is NOT a 7.0 motel. It is a 2.0.

There was a roach whenever we got into the room. We left the place in 3 minutes. Refund was issued.

Plenty not to like ….rooms were dirty ..no new linens …no new towels ….fridge leaked …bed sheets had stains…property very dirty

It was dirty and moldy smelly. The pictures on Expedia was deceiving. We will never stay here again.

Upgraded room, I love the multiple switch control board, the microwave even had USB port and power plug. We had a pleasant stay.

Great location near the interstate and airport. Very convenient. They had excellent cable TV, with many premium channels available. It was easy to find something enjoyable to watch on TV.

The room would look like it was something out of the 70s. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, and the pillows felt like rocks under your head.

The stay was alright. Nothing to phone home about. The room was really outdated but had a bed and TV. It was cheap for a one night place to sleep by the airport. Would definitely not stay here if the stay was any longer

Honestly the only two bad things I can imagine about this place was parking was tight in the room got pretty humid if you turned the AC above 68. The staff especially the guy at the front counter was really amazing and respectful. The room clearly showed signs of needing to be updated in the sense that we noticed the faucets leaked a little bit and the tub held water only for about 5 to 10 minutes as it simply drains the water even though the stopper was in place. First night discovered that the floor sweats hence the humidity part if the room is above 68 especially if you use the shower with hot water and don't close the bathroom door. The only other thing we saw that was unsettling was in looking at the door you can clearly tell it doesn't sit completely sealed. Once the lights were out in the room you can clearly see the lights from outside through the cracks in the door where it was offset. Was no big issue to us but this definitely led to the humidity in the room. With that being said about the room there was Zero problems. No bugs of any kind no electrical issues no issues with the water temperature. The bed was firm but still comfortable. We were both thankful for the pleasant experience. Also one more shout out to the guy at the front desk who knows his way around New Orleans and some really good spots to just enjoy relaxing.

I have stayed several timed at this property and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff have always been accommodating and courteous, Emanuel in particular. The room, though basic, is a value for the price point and has always been comfortable with a lot of space to 'spread out'. A unique feature, other than the full-sized refrigerator, is the amount of channels available to view on the flat screen TVs, local, cable and premium. Free parking is a plus, and I have never felt unsafe in the area. There are numerous dining options as well as a Super Walmart and Walmart Neighborhood Market in close proximity. All in all, this is an exceptional value for the money spent.

The room I got was basic. Nothing to call my mother about. I was impressed with the full refrigerator, multiple electrical outlets, and microwave. The room could use better hand soap, nose tissue dispenser, and updated furniture (Including a larger bed)

We only stayed for the night to get to the airport on time. The room was dated, but visibly clean. There was A LOT of moisture on the floor and walls, but the air conditioning was on and cool. Went to the front desk and a maintenance man came to see what was going on. At first he was as perplexed as we were, then he changed a dial on the air conditioner to DRY (did not know that was a different option), this took care of the issue. Floors were pretty dirty we found out because we moped up the moisture with a hand towel and rags the maintenance guy brought. The bed seemed clean and the bathroom was clean and they were quick to fix the issue we had.

Ultra excellent and friendly staff from the front desk to housekeeping. Super clean room. You won’t accidentally think you’re at the Ritz but this is a wonderful spot for a short stay.

The main doors are locked for a security reasons so you know what kind of area you are in! The bathroom lights were not working and when I called, I never heard back so I had to go to the front desk and ask them to do something immediately and got it fixed. Rooms were clean. The front desk lady is kind of rude.

The hotel served its purpose. The agent who checked me in was efficient but didn't have the most pleasant attitude. I didn't feel welcomed. However, the agent who checked me out was pleasant, upbeat and friendly...especially at 3:30AM. Mimi should be commended for her bubbly personality and outgoing, welcoming spirit.

Didn't like; hassle checking in. $50 deposit. Checked my room before returning my deposit was an insult--I am not a theif. Staff was rude. Room was very dirty and at 3am homeless in the parking lot next to my car.

If you're looking for a clean, inexpensive and secure place to sleep while you're on the road for business, staffed by friendly, attentive professionals, you've found it. I'm always pleased with my choice when I stay here, and I will stay again the next time I'm in town.

I just want to say how GREAT the staff and manager here are. I had something come up, and they worked hard to make sure that I was taken care of and a refund was given. Can't say enough good things about the folks here.

The man at the front counter, when I checked in, and the woman at the front counter, when I checked out, were both very kind, friendly and patient with me.

My major complaint is the entrance/exit access. Due to traffic in the area (which I realize the motel has no control over), there is only one major road to exit onto when traffic allows. One then needs to risk his/her life to make a U-turn to get back to the other major road (Veterans Blvd) which is where the majority of dining/shopping venues are located. A plus of the motel is the full-size refrigerator. I found the front-desk staff to be extremely polite and cordial, especially the male who checked me in (3-11 shift I'm assuming) and the male on the 11-7 shift (Ralph). Both were accommodating and receptive to my requests.

I like the property because of the convenience to the superdome is right off the freeway and near the airport due to my early morning flight, it was perfect

If you need a room close to the airport that’s inexpensive this is the place to go. It’s clean and the staff is very nice.

From check in to check out Contempra Inn had the nicest clerks! The hotel has been around awhile but overall it was very clean. The fan was rather dusty but a good concept for those who like to sleep with the noise or blowing of a fan. The toilet was too low for my liking as a tall person but understandable for the age of the property. The entrance got me a couple of times but I always remembered to turn in at the gas station finally on the 3rd try. Next to plenty of eateries and most importantly the airport.

Staff was great, room was clean, large refrigerator, hard to find/access if yo miss the turn it is a pain to get back to.

Nice large clean room. Lots of restaurants nearby. Very quick uber ride to the airport. The hotel is directly on the route from New Orleans airport to the downtown area. Good value priced hotel option. Would have been nice to get an earlier check in.

The motel is fair value but difficult to get to by car and close to a flight path.

Its a nice motel. Its near to all of the shopping areas in Kenner, LA and close to the freeway- easy access to Metairie or downtown New Orleans. The neighbors were a little noisy. Othwr than that, I really enjoyed our stay and will visit soon.

Booked last minute because our flights got cancelled. I felt the value was excellent. Clean room. Friendliest motel staff ever. There's a great Mexican restaurant right down the street, open late. Also a magical cat on the premises. (Bring treats?) The room lighting was a bit stark, but there are dimmers.

I read a lot of reviews that weren't flattering about this property. Decided to stay anyway and was pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff was super nice. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable, no issues whatsoever with noise and close to a lot of restaurants and things that you could either walk to or drive to if you want it

For the price is good. Has a bed, full fridge, microwave, small table for 2 and bathroom. Don Jose Mexican restaurant is the best around that area. Highly recommend.

I had a single queen size bed, pretty comfortable to me. Room had fridge and microwave. Cable tv available. Clean room, plenty of towels and bath items. Temperature was easy to control with in room air conditioning. Only 1 incedent of noise and was addressed next day by management. Parking was a little tricky but easy to navigate. Parking space was just outside my room as I had a first floor unit. No onsite restaurant, pool or other amenities but snacks and minor toiletries avalable at front desk. Friendly staff. Nearby places to dine include mc donalds and a few restaurants. I tried one across the street with an Italian theme and had some very good meals. I may not stay at this particular place at a future visit, but was not disappointed with this one.

This hotel was perfect for my business trip. Staff was friendly and the hotel met all my needs. The hotel had a comfy bed, cold AC, warm blankets, a full size fridge and microwave. As I said, for a place to rest your head for the night it was great. The lack of pool, restaurant, and bar might turn away a family of 4 on a summer vacation, but for a weekend business trip I could not ask for more. I will stay here again without hesitation. There is also a friendly white cat that polices the property. He was awesome.

The front desk person was very attentive. The room was super clean, cold a/c and great selection of channels on tv, also large refrigerator with freezer.Very convenient to access to the interstate. Close to a variety of restaurants. Will definitely recommend to others.
