Parking is bad and costly

I chose this hotel because on thier website it side limited onsite parking....there is no parking. You have to find street parking or valet park. Which is $55 with $9.90 tax. The hotel was nice and the rooms very spacious. I never made it down to breakfast. The hotel sits on the corner so its kinda easy to miss.

The Hotel itself was good with clean rooms, lobby and dining areas. The biggest issue was the Valet parking was full when we arrived. We were not given great options on parking in the middle of DC on a Saturday night, but we were pointed towards a parking garage under Safeway that worked out. Breakfast also closes at 9am, which was not great with kids that wanted to sleep in after a long day of sightseeing .

Location was great hotel OK we dealt with squealing from the water pipes our entire trip no parking unless you pay to park which is not included in your hotel room stay!

Only thing wrong with the property was there was only one elevator. Took a very long time to get to and from your room. Staff was great. Very friendly. Good breakfast. Nice clean rooms.

I never have access to the Parking, the valet parking was rude and the whole week they never give me access to get an space for my car

The parking is horrible

Actually a very beautiful room. The one issue is only one elevator works. The other is I didn't realize that I was going to cost me $65 a night to park my car. But I should have done some more research I guess. DC taxes are ridiculous. Other than that very friendly and a very nice hotel

When I first checked in there was used toilet paper in the restroom. Less than half of a role and I asked for more toilet paper for my stay and never received any. The hotel floors, walls, lights were dusty. Bed frame was peeling as well as the wall paper. Bed sheets weren’t fresh. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Staff is amazing. The room is spacious and clean. Great location.

Needs updating. Dirty everywhere I look. Different things in the room looked like they were broken or falling off. Walked in to dirty socks on the window sill. Won’t be staying here again.

From when we arrived the toilet was broken in one room, our other room tv didn’t work. It took too long for them to address the broken toilet and then the engineer actually told us to keep the kids from putting toys in the toilet. Mind you we just walked in the door and our “kids” were 12 and 9. We then had to wait for housekeeping to clean the bathroom that had the broken toilet. What a headache. We couldn’t just leave like planned. Kids hungry, then it caused us to argue. The moment our voices raised , less than 2 mins, came a worker at the hotel , when we waited so long for service. Bathroom had mildew on the tile, I left my bath shoes on in the shower. No bath gel in the bath gel container, top sheet dirty/ stained. The only reason I gave this hotel 2 stars is because it was right by the supermarket, it fit our large family needs, the breakfast was nice. Breakfast staff was kind, accommodating and friendly. Especially the lady with the wrap on her hair. Nice both mornings. A suggestion is they should have a checklist to make sure things are in working order before people arrive. And address concerns faster when brought to their attention . Overall because of the problems our first night was not a nice one.

The staff was amazing from check in to check out. We originally booked one room with a double bed but they were sold out so they gave us two queen bed rooms. The rooms were clean and accommodating. When we come back to DC we will be sure to stay here!

Headboard worn, didnt feel clean. No body soap or conditioner, had to ask for 2 days, carpet dirty, bedspread worn, handle on closet broken, poor wifi signal, no apps on tv, didnt replace makeup remover, had to ask. Toilet very low. Staff friendly.

Id loved how clean the room is and also the great view. The beds were very comfortable and was able to sleep great. It was great walking distance from the convention center!

We saw mold in the shower when we first checked in. Bedsheets were not clean, red stains on the duvet. The staff was able to move us to another room but the carpet in the new room was not vacuumed as there’s crumbs and a lego piece next to the couch. The frame of the vanity mirror was also broken. Did not bother to call the staff again because we were tired. The staff was nice though.

To be honest, I was disappointed by my stay at Hilton this time around. When I first checked in, there was a half eaten cake in the freezer left behind by whoever previously stayed in the room. I let the front desk know that same evening and asked if housekeeping can pass by the next day to clean up what was left behind, but they did not. The room was cleaned, but the cake was still in the fridge. We were barely able to sleep that first night because the AC would not cool down below 75 degrees, maintenance came the next day and claimed to "fix it". We were not in our room the whole day and when we returned it was still 75 degrees. The front desk was able to change our room late at night. On our last night there we returned to our room around 10 PM and weren't able to get into the room because the lock to the door was dead. This is unacceptable.

Very nice hotel near a lot of restaurants and bars. Pretty much everything is within walkable distance. They had actual employees who were friendly and helpful. My room was a little worn down, minor things like old stains on furniture or cigarette burn on the carpet. Overall, I would recommend this place if you don't mind these little annoyances.

Pretty nice hotel, but it seemed that there were several maintenance issues, from the AC being unable to keep up (it was brutally hot weather, to be fair)

TThe overall experience was subpar. The WiFi was poor, and the water was merely lukewarm, not hot whatsoever. This will be my first and last time reserving at Homewood Suites.

The room was very comfortable and quiet, and the location is convenient to my needs.

Property and staff are fine. Hotel wifi is basically unusable if you use a VPN on your devices. This is the heighth of foolisheness as the hotel wifi is unsecured. You have to be a fool to use your devices in such a place.

10th floor but very loud trafic noise, non insulated windows. We left one night before the planned booking and no question about the reason nor refund.

Great stay clean and spacious suite with kitchen was able to cook a meal for dinner which saved alot of money! Close to all attractions! Will definitely stay again when in DC

Very spacious 1 bedroom suite with great city view. Good breakfast.

I would not recommend this hotel due to constant noise disruptions from sirens, making it difficult to relax. Our initial room had malfunctioning light fixtures, and after switching, we encountered an AC failure, leaving us in an uncomfortably warm room. The AC was eventually fixed but was still very inconvenient.The lackluster breakfast didn't help either, and for the same price, there are better options available in downtown DC.

They entire staff was amazing! I will definitely be booking my stay at the homewood every year for memorial weekend!

What I like about the property is that it is close to a few restaurants and I felt safe walking outside late at night. What I didn’t like is that the parking was not included and not enough space to accommodate all the guests. Also, the front desk lady on Friday night was extremely unhelpful, unwelcoming and unfriendly. I didn’t get to see her name because her hair was covering her name tag. And total opposite to the lady that was working Saturday evening was friendly, helpful and greeting each customer that walks in. Unfortunately, I did not get her name. Adding to the things I didn’t like was we didn’t get enough towels for 4 people, no conditioner in the shower (empty) and the bedsheets in the king size bed doesn’t fit so it kept coming off. In a good note, the lady named Cat from the breakfast buffet was the sweetest person, very friendly and always smiling.

We stayed here last weekend and had the absolute Best Hotel experience we’ve ever had!! The staff is top notch, they went out of their way to accommodate us. We Will definitely stay here again whenever we go back to DC. Can’t say enough about the front desk staff!! You won’t be disappointed.

Whenever I stay in the DC area, this is the hotel I choose and I have never had a bad experience. The location is safe and very convenient for every place I need to go. The rooms at extremely clean and the food is hot and fresh. The best part of my experience is always the staff!!! They are extremely pleasant and professional and always accommodate my needs. They go out of their way to make my experience better than the last, which is quite refreshing!!! I always choose the his hotel for my stay and I highly recommend it!

The front desk staff was amazing each time we talked to them. Valet was not very friendly or helpful. The garage was hard to find and very awkward. It’s listed as free parking and valet but once you get there it only has $55+tax per night valet. The breakfast was always full and fresh and the girls working it were so nice and helpful. The front door is an automatic door but there is something wrong with it so when it opens it sounds like someon screaming throughout the whole first floor/breakfast area. The room was clean and stocked but the bathroom was lacking. There was black mold all around the bottom of the shower and I had to mop the bathroom myself it was so sticky and dirty. The staff is amazing but the hotel is lacking.

Service was great. Wonderful location and price. House keeping and front desk responded asap to any request. I liked the text message service.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Diamond at the front desk was outstanding, and gave us the best service. She was able to accommodate our room early upon for early check-in, and gave us amazing food and drink recommendations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a great hotel team, in an awesome location, with good amenities. Thank you to the team!

The location is perfect. Safeway across the street, and many food locations close by. It's about a 20 minute walk to the White House or the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. We walked everywhere and never felt unsafe. The rooms do show some wear and tear. Beds are comfortable but the pillows are flat as can be. Sofa bed is very thin as well. Breakfast is standard hotel food. I know this is more of a budget option so it met my expectations. Some staff were very rude, but the woman that works at night (didn't get her name) was so nice and helpful. She was wonderful. Overall worth the stay for the price and location.

I stayed here as it was convenient to the hotel where I was attending a conference; location was super convenient, easy to access both via Metro and taxi/Lyft, lots of dining options and Safeway across the street (and wide street with multiple cross walks but that is DC!). I appreciated the full refrigerator and kitchen set up as well as full breakfast in AM. They also have a relationship with GrubHub and food delivery. Had a great stay!

Easy to get around. A bit farther from monuments but walkable.

Hotel location is excellent.10 minute walk to Chinatown and 25 minutes walk to the White House. Breakfast is very good. Hotel is very clean. Very friendly staff.

I loved how most things was walkable. I like to walk so that 25 minute walk from the hotel to the white house was exciting. I got to see different things as I walk by

Located in downtown D.C., everywhere is within walking distance. Convenient for business, shopping, tourism, dining, all purposes.

Good area. Walking distance to Metro and restaurants.

Convenient location across from grocery store. Very close walk to Capital Burger, best burgers in DC. Kind of noisy traffic throughout the night with emergency vehicles driving by.

We stayed in the one bedroom suite- with kitchen. Walking distance to metro, great area surrounding the hotel. Friendly staff, great breakfast, clean room. We would def stay here again!

It was so convenient and within walking distance to museums

Great location! Additionally, there were security features for accessing the elevators and entering the building after 7 p.m. Unfortunately, one of two stove tops wasn’t working and there was no hand soap or dishwashing liquid. After several calls, I was given additional face soap and detergent for the dishwasher. Also, there was a hair in the shower that made me wonder if it had been cleaned properly prior to my arrival. Lastly, the breakfast area was very small for the number of guests, and the sausage (one of two meat options) was not good quality. These small details make a lasting impression.

Great breakfast

The hotel seemed to be full during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was understandable to be crowded during the breakfast and the management should be aware of this in advance. However, there were running out of dishes, bowels, and even food. Many of the residents just kept asking and waiting for clean dishes even the disposal ones. It lasted almost the holidays (at least I stayed four days). It should be manageable to avoid the disaster from happening.

We used this property purely for sleeping & a quick breakfast as we were visiting family in town. The bed was comfortable (important for us) the room was clean, the room temperature was balanced, the breakfast was good and the staff were pleasant.

Perfect location for me ! Welcoming, variety of breakfast selection was plus. I will stay over there next time again.

Everything was fine, maybe don’t put breakfast away at 9:30 when you say it is open until 10am, some of us are on a different time zone, everything else was just fine

The breakfast was disappointing. The room needs an upgrade. The staff was excellent.

Hotel was average regarding cleanliness but only 1 elevator serviced the entire hotel with several events happening on the same day. No one should wait for an elevator as long as you'd wait for a bus. The breakfast was in my opinion awful and the exact same food every day (5 days). My suite had 3 hangers-had to request additonal twice. Then I had to request bedding for the pullout sofa and enough towels for 4. The kitchen had a cooktop but there was only a skillet available and 1 spoon, three forks and 5 knives. There were enough plates and bowls for 3. I got tired of contacting the front desk for items that should have already been in the room prior to check in.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Property was clean and modern. Location was good with many options near for eating, shopping and tourist venues. Bed was comfortable. Kitchenette clean and useful. One thing that could be improved was keeping the “hot” breakfast food items warm. The eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes, etc were cold all 3 days we were there. Food selection/options were good and the staff attentive.
