An excellent hotel, very tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean which is our number one priority! Staff were helpful and friendly although the service in Jacks bar was a little slow despite it not being busy. The only downside was the parking which is a good ten minute walk away which is far from ideal on a late, rainswept night!

Beautiful Room (signuture room) and fantastic staff. Also had a meal in the grill and cocktail all of which were delicious and full of attentive staff. Great stay. Had breakfast which while decent quantity, seemed expensive for what was received.

Very nice room. Staff was nice. This is close to the shopping district of Glasgow. You will have to pay 8 pounds for parking and walk about 15 minutes to get to your car,as there are no parking accommodations.

We had a really comfortable stay at Dakota Glasgow. We were travelling with our nine month old baby, and the cot provided was excellent – they even included extra blankets for her and a teddy bear. The bed was also very comfortable. The hotel feels modern and well maintained, so everything works smoothly. The shower was great, the place smells fresh, and it is well located – about a 15 minute walk from Glasgow Central, making it very convenient if you are arriving by train. If you are driving, there is also a small parking area. The reception staff were kind and helpful whenever we needed anything. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend staying here.

Great modern hotel in walking distance to everywhere. The staff were fantastic and very helpful when it came to dining options and things to do during our stay. Huge building works on the street outside our room. As a result the windows were filthy. A skip was delivered at 5.55am which awoke us and then building works starting just after 7am. I know you can't help having building works going on outside, but maybe don't have those rooms in use. Constantly visible dust flying about in the air in the room. Somebody's long hairs left all over the bathroom floor. Positives: lovely shower and fluffy towels. Bed in itself was comfy but duvet was far too thick and didn't sleep much as a result of being too hot. It's a shame as my two adult kids rave about staying here. Given the hype I've heard about this hotel I was disappointed. Reception weren't particularly interested in the noise stating there are laws to be followed. Yes, but YOU should also state that a person may get a room facing the building works and be disturbed by it. It certainly wasn't refected in the price I paid.

The hotel is stunning. The interior is beautiful. The only issue we had was the room wasn’t cleaned everyday so the towels and toilet rolls were not replenished or the coffee and waters.

Hotel looks pretty new, room was spacious, with a (super dusty) nespresso machine, a plus. It’s black on the outside, black or painted very dark on the inside including the room, so it feels pretty cavernous and dim. Location is not great, next to student dorms and a couple of cheaper hotels. Easy to get Ubers or taxis, but walk to nicer parts of town is 20mn or more. Lots of construction in the area currently, which affects traffic.

My wife and i checked in great as usuall . Room was tidy apart from streaks on one of the mirrors mould patches in shower room . Called reception to book dinner amazing service from reception on booking us in for 7.30 pm . Resturaunt seemed quiet for a friday night ordered drinks but my wifes cosmo cocktail was bitter so we sent it back . Dinner was almost a 40 min wait when resturaunt looked quiet . Iam a chef of 25 yrs plus and i dont think a chateaubriand can take that long to cook myself. We where out for pre valantines as we both work in hospitality and its hard to find time to get a night out together . Thinking that as we have been to dakota glasgow before for our aniversary we would sample the food from this hotel but my wife and i where very dissapointed . We setteled for a quick trip to a local KFC for our romantic dinning as u can imagine dinning in glasgow afer 9pm is hard to find or book a table

Rooms had excellent beds, great showers and everything you might need from including water, coffee and snacks. We had a lovely stay at this hotel! Nothing was too much effort for the staff and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our only slight (extremely minor) criticism is that the rooms and the bathroom were really dark! I think there was muted lighting to add to the relaxing luxurious mood and decor, though having the option of some better lighting would be nice (for doing makeup, for example). This was so minor though and we would definitely stay again! The bed is probably one of the comfiest hotel beds ever!

The stay was fine. The bed was comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. We always seek a hotel with some character. This hotel did NOT possess that. The rooms were spacious but very dark and no windows could be opened. The location is boring. Very corporate feel. If I was on business ... this hotel would be fine. For personal use I probably should have selected somewhere else.

An excellent modern hotel, in a central location. The black interior decor, with pools of light was trendy if gloomy and not very practical. Breakfast was acceptable but with a limited buffet. The staff were were very friendly and helpful. Car Parking arrangements at the Charing Cross multi-storey (10 min walk) were fine for an inner city hotel. The building work opposite should not deter anyone from booking. It was quiet at night and no problem even though we overlooked it.

One of our favorite rooms during a long holiday! It was a gray rainy day when we were in Glasgow, so we loved the opportunity to retreat in our large, luxurious room for a most comfortable evening. The bedding and pillows were very high-end. The dark furnishings make for a very cozy room which includes a seating area and a desk. There were many nice touches including robes, warm slippers, and a tea service. The bathroom was gorgeous with a great shower and products. Check in and out was effortless in their large impressive lobby.

Really loved our stay here! It’s very walkable but far enough away from central that it’s not so loud. Rooms were quiet and big and the bed was very comfy. Shower was lovely as well. Really enjoyed our stay!

I literally can't fault this hotel at all! The staff were so friendly and genuine from the moment I arrived. I was checking in and had a pleasant surprise of being upgraded to a suite for my stay, check in was easy and quick. Finding the room was easy. The room was absolutely immaculate and beautiful, the bed was so so comfortable. I ordered room service at one point which was delivered super quickly with no fuss. The staff also had a birthday card and treat sent up to my room while I was out with no knowledge from me!! Such a lovely touch and made my day!! On checking out it was super simple and quick again. The staff were so friendly and nothing was any trouble. I had such a great stay, can't recommend enough, thank you Dakota!!

Customer service here was absolutely abysmal. From checking I realised there was no Wi-Fi connection in my room. I called and I was informed that there was an issue and it was being resolved. About two hours later it still was not resolved so I went down to reception and they informed me that they thought it was sorted. I informed them that it wasn’t and my room was still without any Wi-Fi. About another hour later, I had to go back down to reception to inquire again as I needed to work and was unable to without Wi-Fi. I was informed that they were continuing to look into it. A further hour later I had to go back down and enquire again as to where we were with the status of the Wi-Fi. I was again informed that someone was still looking into it. There was no proactive communication even though I had informed the reception people that I urgently needed to work and required Wi-Fi connection. The room was at the back of the hotel overlooking a car park and I had no mobile signal either. I was appalled by the lack of proactive communication or effort to resolve my issue. The following morning I still had no Wi-Fi connection when I went to reception and informed them they had no clue that I was unable to access Wi-Fi and had an issue the night before. Therefore, there was clearly no communication between Staff changeovers to inform them of an issue.

There was no proactive communication even though I had informed the reception people that I urgently needed to work and required Wi-Fi connection. The room was at the back of the hotel overlooking a car park and I had no mobile signal either. I was appalled by the lack of proactive communication or effort to resolve my issue. The following morning I still had no Wi-Fi connection when I went to reception and informed them they had no clue that I was unable to access Wi-Fi and had an issue the night before. Therefore, there was clearly no communication between Staff changeovers to inform them of an issue.

The hotel had messed up our booking and instead of apologising and offering an empty room told us they were full and made us wait nearly an hour without any apology or even the offer of a drink. After different false stories they told us there was a room available. The compensation offered was a bottle of wine in the room or a free breakfast. After complaining we were given a less than 20%reduction on the bill. To add insult to injury we were sent an incoherent email in the middle of our stay demanding payment. Mistakes can be made but the way they are handled is what defines the service - Dakota Glasgow made us feel utterly unwelcome after they mistakenly altered our booking and preferred the phrase ‘I understand’ to ‘I apologise’. Dreadful service.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Everything about it just felt like a bit of extra luxury, even down to the quality hairdryer and iron in the room! Attention to detail was perfect, what a great job all the staff did. I would have expected to pay more for the service we got. Room was spotless and when we arrived I asked for more hangers, the housekeeping lady was back at my door within 5 minutes with everything I asked for. Turndown service attended our room and went the extra mile, it was noticeably cleaned, not just tidied. All bins were emptied, fresh towels given, and just was delightful to walk back into after being out all day! Charing Cross car park was only an 5 minute walk and the front desk validated our parking ticket so for parking in the city centre fri-sun we only paid £16. Staff also held our bags for 2 hours after checkout, everyone was so accommodating. I would venture to say I wouldn’t bother booking anywhere else in Glasgow without checking here first.

We walked here after arriving via Glasgow Central. Since it was before check-in, we were able to store our luggage, which was very appreciated. The front desk staff are lovely! She provided a map of Glasgow and a solid recommendation to Singl-end nearby. After a museum excursion, we returned to a well considered room. We had ample space for each of us, seating at the foot of the bed, blackout curtains and a clean, modern bathroom. The hallways boast motion activated light and the interior of the hotel is dimly lit. I would recommend and stay here again. And I must again mention how wonderful the staff are. Well done!

While the hotel staff were extremely helpful polite and lovely, the area wasn't as convenient to get to areas to see points of interest. We walked for quite a while searching for the hop on and off bus that we bought tickets for snd we were looking for the number 9 stop and never found or used the tickets. We found the west end area and stayed there. We stayed only 2 nites there so never got to the shopping area.So try to map out your day trips.

There is a great deal of construction in the entire area. Didn’t interfere however not pretty to look at. Great location. Excellent restaurant and bar. Staff was superb. First hotel where I heard absolutely no noise especially when I was in my room. Heard no noise from the hallway, the elevator nor the street. The on and off bus was terrific and convenient. The taxi was great too. Definitely stay at another Dakota hotel if the others are as good as Glasgow.

Great modern hotel in walking distance to everywhere. The staff were fantastic and very helpful when it came to dining options and things to do during our stay. It’s black on the outside, black or painted very dark on the inside including the room, so it feels pretty cavernous and dim. Location is not great, next to student dorms and a couple of cheaper hotels. Easy to get Ubers or taxis, but walk to nicer parts of town is 20mn or more. We had an excellent 4 night stay over the Christmas period whilst visiting family in Glasgow. The service was friendly and professional. I also paid for parking which was super convenient given the crazy parking restrictions Glasgow now has. A great location for walking around the city with plenty of restaurants nearby. Christmas dinner was excellent - the perfect balance of excellent food and atmosphere. I will certainly be staying again.

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely amenities! The heated towel rack in the bathroom was amazing along with the rain shower! The bed however had too soft pillows and a very hard bed. Loved that there were blankets on end of bed to snuggle with. It was chilly outside! It is in a good walking location from the bus too and restaurants! Service in the bar was terrible but the front desk staff was efficient and thorough. Overall we enjoyed our stay! Love Glasgow!

Beautiful Room (signuture room) and fantastic staff. Also had a meal in the grill and cocktail all of which were delicious and full of attentive staff. Great stay. Had breakfast which while decent quantity, seemed expensive for what was received.

We were only here one night to stay before a flight, and wow what a gorgeous hotel. Room was modern, but comfy & cozy. The shower was incredible and we were happy to have a fridge and AC. Was probably the most visually striking hotel room we had in Scotland. We had dinner at the grill and it was pricey, but delicious and the service was incredible.

Excellent hotel. Lovely atmosphere throughout especially the bar area in the evening time which has a relaxed ambiance. Staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout my one night stay. Breakfast was underwhelming due to lack of variety at the buffet and the breakfast staff were a little slow and disorganised. Still, enjoyed my short stay and would definitely come back.
