It was the perfect hotel for our first time in Glasgow. It was close to everything and we could walk everywhere. The staff were super helpful with getting to the airport and holding our bags after we checked out. Couldn’t have had a better experience!

It was great, lovely friendly staff, clean and convenient rooms. Had a flight delay but not a problem as the staff let us sit in the lounge/dining area way past our check out time. And have a luggage room to keep your luggage for you while you wait.

I know many properties moving to the same model.. self service check in..programme keycard.."theres a pencil there if you want write your room number".. felt impersonal HOWEVER staff very friendly and helpful.. i stayed a few times and love it!

Good location for our purposes. Stayed in 3 hotels for our visit to Scotland and this was the only one that didn’t have tea/coffee facilities in the room. The shower room was designed for wheelchair use and the mirror user friendly for my height of 1.90m.

When booking it was not clear there was no windows in the room, this was only apparent after booking. We arrived at the hotel to two male staff, both slouched over the desk all very casual. When we asked about our room windows we were bluntly told sorry we’re fully booked. No information was given about facilities etc. the hotel is generally run down the front reception looks fine and they have mod con room swipes etc. but the carpets in the corridors are dirty and sticky. There is an odd smell not awful but old I guess and our room was dirty. We ran in and out initially but on arriving home later there was blood splatter on the side of the bed and there was exposed wiring from the complicated light system. The bed was hard, seemed smaller than an average single and the pillow was like sleeping on cotton wool balls. Soft yet lumpy. For the price the quality did not match. Bathroom was about the best part as it was actually clean but the room itself the walls. The mirrors all dirty and dusty. I would not recommend this hotel. Location was great but not worth it.

Stayed here for a night out in Glasgow. Great location - near resturants, retail shops, pubs/clubs and it’s about a ten minute walk to Queen Street station. Room was small, we got a double bed. TV had limited channels and some of them didn’t work. Pretty basic room but it is a budget hotel so not expecting much. Had a safe in the room and hairdryer. Bathroom is nice and the shower is good, only thing is, there’s no lock on the bathroom door. The room was pretty dusty - noticed there were built up dust on the floor and even under the bed there were a few rubbish (I looked under the bed as I dropped something and it fell under the bed). Safe hotel too as you can’t enter the hotel after a certain time (midnight I think it was) unless you’ve got your room key and you tap it at the side of the entrance. Overall it is a good hotel with basic facilities, located in a great area and budget friendly. It was about £58pp. Only thing is that the room wasn’t the cleanest so if you’ve got dust allergies then might be a problem. Would definitely stay here again though.

Great location, great staff, clean rooms. We got one of the windowless rooms, which wasn't as terrible as it sounds. The room is decorated with lots of mirrors and a way to change the lighting easily, so it is well lit enough that it felt bigger than it was. That said, they are very small rooms. We had two bags and had to close them, because otherwise we couldn't get to the bed. But, it was just two of us and the location and other amenities were good enough that it didn't matter. Worth the inconvenience of that for the location and kind staff.

The first time I had stayed at a Point A hotel. It’s centrally located at a budget price and my room had many space or money saving features. Two pillows on the bed; fold up chair attached to the wall and tables that fold out from the wall. The bathroom would be tight for a person of above average size but the shower was good. There are ambient light settings which is an unusual feature. A separate ironing room is available. Also, no tea/coffee - available at reception for a charge. I liked the continental breakfast. The serving area is well designed and there was a good selection of cold food on offer.

Close to the center and both train stations. Very good bed, TV and wifi. The only problem was the shower: this is what uncontrolled "eco-stuff" leads to: the water had a very small pressure and jets (somewhat like the Scottish rain) barely wetted the body, so it was hard to feel really clean afterwards. But overall, good value for money.

Very bare bones room. Looks like former hospital rooms. Only seating in room was collapsible stool hanging on wall. No barrier around shower to prevent the rest of the bathroom floor from getting wet. Most of shower space taken up by non-removable shower chair. Location was convenient for walking around Glasgow.

Air conditioning effective but tricky to get the right temperature ?Clean room & lovely toilet fittings. Great shower. (Need a hand towel in there as well) Breakfast very very good choices even though no hot cooked breakfast buffet. Room clean but would not choose a room with no window again (personal choice)also had very limited space for a double room. Innovative use of space for such a small room though. Overall good ...be pleased to stay again in another choice of room.

This is the perfect central Glasgow hotel. The room was clean, well thought through, to bed was extremely comfortable and it’s in the perfect location to enjoy everything downtown Glasgow has to offer. The staff were second to none, the best I’ve experienced in ages. I will definitely be staying here each time I return to Glasgow.

Close to the many shops and dining options, Point A was a wonderful place to stay for our short trip to Glasgow. We were warmly welcomed by Gary, who went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We were treated to free breakfast, and he gave us many options for dining, even calling ahead for us to book a reservation. Our room was very clean and there were clean instructions on how to "power" the room. Breakfast options were easy and delicious. We will definitely choose Point A Glasgow again for our next visit!

Was back in Glasgow for an unexpected visit, have stayed in the hotel before. The location is perfect to move around. Caitlin at reception is a superstar, the management should do everything they can to keep her. The service and support she gave was out of this world and would justify a 5 star hotel. Not only did she help with all the requests but she was so pleasant and supportive. If Point A don’t look after her she will move on to better things. The hotel is clean only negative points is windows are so thin that you can hear everything during night from outside lanes and beds could be better as not very comfy at all.

I was very happy with this hotel choice for several reasons. First off, it is very walkable to/from both train stations and the main city center activities -- this includes nearby restaurants and pubs. The front desk workers were all very polite and helpful. The room itself is no frills, but gets the job done. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. And the breakfast was a standard European one (which is a good thing). Quite a few options and it is served in a nice seating area. Would not hesitate to stay here again if I'm in Glasgow!

This is a great place to stay but beginning to show signs of aging in places, and area outside is grim. Once inside it’s all pretty good, comfy bed, nice shower, all very compact and cosy. Good value for money.

The hotel was located in a great area. Walkable to shops and dining area. The room was small but had everything you would need. The room we had was unfortunately located by alley behind some restaurants I presume. The view was terrible. Also because this was the back way into these places, we were woken late at night and very early 5 a.m. By workers talking and laughing.

Nice continental breakfast, affordable hotel, clean bathroom. Centrally located, 2-3 minutes walking distance to city shopping and 12 minutes walking distance to Technology and Innovation Centre, Strathclyde University. However, someone had smoked in the room, which was not nice, and the floor was not clean.

We had such a lovely stay at the hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help, which made our experience even better. The location is super convenient—it's just a short 7-9 minute walk to both the subway and the central train station. Plus, there are plenty of nearby dining options, and we really appreciated the variety of vegan choices available. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, with several vegan options to choose from too! One little suggestion for improvement would be to add more electrical outlets in the room, as there was only one on one side of the bed. But overall, it was a delightful stay!
