Arban Hotel

The check in was fine, the hotel is tired looking and the carpets need to be replaced on the floors. The bed was comfy but the windows were not soundproofed to keep the street noise away at night. Bearing in mind this was quite a loud area with restaurants and other 24 hour places (including a strip club) nearby Location wise - good for Seomyeon station

We were staying on the 6th floor and were woken up at 7AM by loud drilling. The drilling continued for 20 minutes. Tried calling the lobby several times, but a Korean automated voice answered each time. (Occupied line?) Eventually, I got dressed to go to the lobby and complain but the drilling noise stopped just before I left my room. From around 7-9 AM there was no drilling, but there was still a lot of other construction noise. At 9AM the drilling started again. When I complained at the lobby, we were told that the hotel was aware of the construction and that the construction was supposed to start at 9:00, not 7:00. First, we were not informed at the time of booking that there would be construction involving drilling. Second, why are we expected to pay the full room rate when our sleep is being seriously disrupted by construction noise? Third, we got offered a room change to a different floor without construction. If the hotel had other available rooms, why the hell did we get a room close to a construction? We decided eventually not to change rooms because we were checking out at 04 AM the day after anyway and didnt wanted to bother the staff. Hotels.com is now looking into whether they can obtain compensation from the hotel on our behalf, which I hope the hotel will agree to provide. Aside from this issue, the hotel has a good location and the staff were friendly and kind.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a memorable stay. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable, the breakfast was great (they have a mix of western and traditional Korean breakfast items) and there were a lot of options for restaurants within walking distance in the surrounding area. We didn’t take the metro and instead took Ubers and Taxis (to save on time, given the city is quite large and spread out) to see several amazing places. This hotel is highly recommended if you’re visiting Busan and are looking for a nice, quiet, comfortable, and enjoyable stay.

I found the street entrance to the hotel a little dingy. Anyone can access the guest floors from the street if they happen to tailgate a guest with a keycard. Besides that, the room was Ok. Our room was quite large but an odd shape. Breakfast just OK as well. Staff were pleasant.
