I had to swap rooms because they could not get TV to work. Exhaust fan in bathroom of other room did not work. Other than that room was real nice. Good view from balcony. Good area around hotel. Indoor swimming pool not heated, was too cold to enjoy even kids would not get in. Staff was very courteous & nice.

We book this hotel because it has a hot tub listed as an amenity and because the reviews said it was clean. The hot tub was broken and there was a sign that said that “the hot tub is not a listed amenity.” Uh yes it was. If you want to fell like you’re staying in Tijuana Mexico then this is your place. Oh and the “breakfast” buffet is a joke. Do yourself a favor. Sleep on the sidewalk or your car before you drop 200 dollars a night on this dump

I liked that it was right in the center of Gatlinburg. The parking was always full and sometimes not convenient. The pool area was freezing. The elevator was scary. But otherwise I enjoyed the stay there.

The Wander Hotel was cute. However, the indoor pool was cold, and the hot tub was empty. It was good in other ways. Mr. Patel, our housekeeper was very very nice! The hotel is located right in the heart of downtown right across from the Convention center.

Everything about this hotel is great except for the breakfast area which is a little small. Our room is spacious, tried the outdoor pool. Indoor pool has cold water. Location is great, near everything!!!

Within 10 minutes of getting in our room I saw 2 large roaches. 1 went down the shower drain, the other I caught & took to the office. They gave us another room ( 1/2 the size we paid for. Sink vanity very small and trim coming off. The water was dripping and couldn’t be turned off. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Chain was off. We fixed that. Carper was dirty. No fest, only 1 chair in room with broken back. Nothing fixed. No money discount offered. We went through Expedia & not the hotel so we were stuck for the whole 3 nights. Worse experience ever. No more bookings through a third party.

At the desk they seemed like they were doing me a favor/ they didnt want to be there. The rooms were dirty. The carpets were stained like crazy. Their were bugs on the beds nothing to serious. The room smelled outdated. There was trash in the ice bucket. The fridge had a cheesecake that was old old... Beyond that the hotel is in a great spot. The outside looks decent. Breakfast was alright.

There were ants all over the sink inside the bathroom. We did notify the hotel staff and they sprayed twice, but it did not help at all. There was a dead roach as well. I have videos and pictures as evidence. The staff weren't friedly at all. In addition, there was no hot water. We reserved two rooms and hot water was not avaliable in both rooms. The overall cleanliness of this place was terrible. I would not recommend this place at all to anybody.

Love that this motel is downtown and can walk to shops and attractions. It’s older and even though it looks like it’s being improved, there’s still some things that could be done. Room was clean, for the most part. The bathroom definitely could’ve been more clean. The shower had mold around the tub and on the ceiling. However, we loved the vintage feels that it still gave us. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the people. The front desk staff was super nice. We would stay here again.

Paid for room with a jetted tub and after cleaning and filling it up we realized it had been disabled and couldnt use it. Went to use the phone in the room to call the front desk about the jetted tub and the phone didnt work. Also saw roaches coming from under the tub and from the sink areas.

Nice room. Great location. Convenient for walking downtown. Wonderful breakfast. Front desk staff friendly. Balcony a plus. Indoor pool was nice but not heated; no restroom nearby. Had to ask for enough towels every day (3 guests registered; only 2 sets in room). TV kept coming on by itself; had to unplug it every night. Small bathroom. Couldn’t get water for shower regulated; either too hot or too cold. Otherwise, a great place to stay!

The bathroom ceiling leaked, there was a stain on the lamp shade that looked similar to poop (but not poop), and another lamp shade had tears on it. The bed and bathroom looked clean and no bed bugs. The leak was because the people above us had their shower head pointed towards the open window (per maintenance). It leaked multiple times but not with the next guest when they took a shower. There weren't bags in the trashcans and the cans were stacked together, under a table, and once again stacked together after housekeeping.

I really liked the location. The bed was comfortable. And the rooms were spacious and I really liked that if we brought food back we had somewhere to store it. The bed was comfortable. It was bug free. Close to everything you would want to do in Gatlinburg. The phone in the room did not work. When I called the front desk twice from my phone no one ever answered. Tv was very staticky. The Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect to mine or my husband’s phone for the first night. Second night it would connect for like 1 minute and then disconnect itself. It seemed that the floors hadn’t been mopped in a while. My feet were dirty just from walking on the floor. The breakfast they offered was pretty bad. lol there was no one tending it so it was very messy. The food wasn’t hot, not even room temperature. Kinda like it was just taken out of a fridge and sat out. Also- if you take your dogs with you, there is only a SMALL 5x10 area for you to walk them and only half of it has grass.

Visited Gatlinburg this past weekend staying at the Wander Hotel. Staff at the hotel were great and very helpful. Our room was clean, spacious and had a great view. The complimentary breakfast was greatand more than we expected. Parking was more than ample and hotel had a great location on the strip. Had a small problem with our door and TV but staff responded quickly and fixed the problem. We requested more bath towels and staff brought them to us promptly along with other linens. We were on tge 5th floor in building C with a corner room and balcony which was perfect. Only issues were the hot tub was not working and the elevator had a mildew odor but other than that the Wander Hotel was great. We are already planning to return next year.

The first night our AC unit didn’t stay on throughout the night despite setting it even to fan only on high causing the room to be warm. We aren’t warm sleepers. The next morning housekeeping cleaned the room but didn’t leave new towels so we had to get them from the front desk. I called at 1400 asking for towels but didn’t get them until I went downstairs to the office at 1730 and stood there until I had them. Also during this transaction they weren’t offered to be brought up to the room but instead handed to us to bring up to the third floor.

The only thing I can say against the hotel is the room key the whole time that we were there they had computer problems and then something to do with the Box on our door so every time we wanted in we had to go and get somebody for the 2-day stay that we were there, that's my only problem was the door key, it did get a little aggravating not be able to come and go without bothering somebody to let you back in or me or my husband one had to stay there so we can let one or the other one in but all in all it was a great Hotel

We checked in on a Saturday and checked out on a Wednesday. We never had any housekeeping service for our room the entire time. We had no phone in our room to even call the front desk. When I asked about it, the front desk lady could have cared less. She told me to call from my cell phone. I had tried calling for towels and couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. I had to go to front desk to ask. We had to call on our cell phone every day for towels. I had to empty my own trash. Our TV was stuck on the loudest volume and the tech came up to fix it. He very nice and friendly, but we ended up having only one channel. We only tried the continental breakfast the first morning but it was unstocked an hour before closing. Didn’t even have coffee cups out. The lady at the front desk didn’t act like she cared at all. The lack of housekeeping is a MAJOR issue, because on check in I was told we would have daily housekeeping service. I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past with the old owners when it was Leconte View. It may not have been as updated but I never had a complaint. The front desk staff then was excellent and would immediately fix any issue I would say this will be my last stay at The Wander.

When we arrived the girl at the front desk check in was friendly, and she upgraded us to a private balcony when my friend asked how much it would be to upgrade to a private balcony. That was sweet. However the list of services was provided which included Free breakfast 7am - 10am. When we arrived around 9:45am there were no hot food available so we knocked on the kitchen door, and the young girl that came out just looked at us when we asked, then she walked back in kitchen to check with someone else. Then a older African American lady came and peeked out of door and we said the same thing. She just stared at us and said nothing. She could speak English because I had heard her talking so it wasn't like she didn't understand. We finally just left because we never got an answer or acknowledgement about it. The ice machine is located in a different building which is near front office and we stayed in back building, so that's really an inconvenience.

This hotel is right on Parkway st. across form the convention center 2-minute walk from the space needle. Just park in the hotel lot for free :) and walk everywhere. The hotel has been remodeled. Our room was 236 and it was clean, and it had pretty modern decor. Loved the Smokey mountains mural and details. The bed and pillows were comfortable and clean. Couple of things to notice, the room has a mini fridge and microwave which is perfect, it had a coffee maker, but NO coffee is offered. So, bring your own coffee pods. The continental breakfast was ok- it had different frozen sandwiches, cereals, breads, muffins, apples, coffee, juices. At least it will get your morning started. The front desk lady was really nice and welcoming, so it was the gentleman- I believe he is the manager. I arrived at 2 pm and our room was ready, and they checked us in early- so thank you so much. The only con- the sink backed up and you could hear the next-door shower and toilet when running so it was a little annoying at times.

Room was very nice. Looks like it was renovated recently. Location is great. Right on the Parkway, so you can walk everywhere. Free parking also. There’s a free continental breakfast, but we chose to walk to a restaurant a couple of blocks away. I would stay there again.

We loved staying at The Wander! They welcomed our pet with only a $25 per night fee & the room was extremely well kept for it being pet friendly. The convenience of being right on the main road in Gatlinburg was perfect! Our son enjoyed the outdoor pool & parking was no problem downtown (we parked right in front of our room & didn't have to move till we left). Breakfast was perfect too! Would definitely stay again!

We always love staying here because the location is hard to beat. We were hoping for a higher up room as requested but not a deal breaker. This hotel almost always has conditioner/shampoo in their hand soap spot which again is no big deal, but odd. The rooms are always clean. We booked a private balcony and we newer out right next to another balcony without privacy at all. Luckily no one came out to sit when we did, or I would’ve been very upset to pay for a private balcony and that’s what we got. They didnt seemed booked up so I was disappointed to be put in the room we were. Their breakfast seems to be upgraded and actually pretty good. If you want a hotel with good prices, and convenient to town this should definitely be at the top of your list. We will be back.

Quick easy check in, great staff. Tbey were remodeling the check in/breakfast area so they didn't have breakfast but Shoneys is directly across the street. Best location in Gatlinburg, dead center, parked and didn't have to drive the whole weekend!

The hot water was minimal at best. The TV control was a generic TV control and didn’t work on the TV. We had to manually turn on the TV and set the control up every time we wanted to use it. I wouldn’t rely on the continental breakfast. The juice machines didn’t work two of the three nights and they run out of milk. Poorly stocked.

This hotel is under refurbishment and the updates are terrific. The hot tub was broken and empty. There was no breakfast this weekend because the lobby flooring was being replaced. For a reasonable price, this is a great place to stay. It is right on the strip right across from the convention center. We will stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay, however your breakfast was not the best. We had to ask for food, the pancakes sat out there until they were like hockey pucks. When we read reviews it said you had the best breakfast. I will not agree with that. The propwrty was clean and the beds were comfortable. The tv is very small and not movable so you can only watch it from bed. It would be nice to have a movable tv so you can watch it from the lounger as well.

Initially there was an issue with the TV in the room we got. 10 minutes of the maintenance man deciding he couldn't fix it and it needed a new TV we were moved to an ever nicer room. The staff was so responsive and understanding. The breakfast was delicious and hot. Were plenty of options. The staff at this hotel Works very hard to make sure everybody is comfortable. There are 2 pools 1 indoor and one outdoor. Both were nice but I really enjoyed using the outdoor pool. The parking was perfect because you were the center of downtown. Everything we needed was within walking distance.

The hotel room was clean, quiet, comfortable and a nice size. The hotel is right downtown and on the strip for easy walking. They had a complimentary breakfast which was fine. The lobby needs some updating and a restroom. I would recommend staying there
