The hotel is excellently located and has excellent parking, albeit at extra cost unless you book directly with the hotel. One of the reception staff was a little curt, one pleasant but the former was not unpleasant or rude. The room I had was very dowdy and in need of decorating. It was however very clean with an excellent TV and a fairly generous supply of tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable and the linen was fresh. Best of all the shower, although a mixer type running from the taps, was so good and it was easy to get the balance right. I have had much worse showers in more much more expensive establishments. A rubber anti slip mat was supplied and, again, the towels were clean and the toilet and sink were old but clean. Please don’t let my comments about the old style and worn appearance of the room put you off. It has a pool, bar and would cater for your needs very well. I have stayed here before and will not hesitate to book again if I need an inexpensive room in the area.

The hotel room was reasonably clean and spacious, although I was only one person in a double. I was really disappointed to find that the pool only opened at 9am. I wanted to be able to swim before breakfast, like you can in every other hotel I've ever stayed in with a pool. In the end this meant I didn't get to use the pool so feel that it was a waste of money booking this hotel. Although, the location was excellent for the conference I was at. The shower was difficult to use due to the angle and proximity to the tap end, but the water nicely hot. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the lift was out of order on the Friday and the Sunday of a weekend stay, which were my check in and check out days.

Fantastic location, 5 mins away from the beach and restaurants. The staff were nice and helpful. On the other hand, the hotel was very dated, carpet and doors very dirty, the main lift was out of order. No air conditioning in the entire hotel. Our room was compact, the bathroom clean and spacious, the carpet dirty, newish furniture, two fans to cool the room down. The view out of the window was a dirty wall, only 2 feet away, limiting the natural light. Breakfast options were very limited, only cereals, fruits and yogurts available, no decaf tea/coffee. The full English breakfast was good, but small. No gluten free options at all. The chairs were dirty and the room looked untidy. We will not be staying there again.

Room was a nice size as had booked an executive room. Unfortunately in process of refurb so on arrival the builders were sanding on the next floor which was very loud. Air conditioning in bathroom and refrigerator were both very loud, switched fridge off but unfortunately couldn’t do that with air conditioning. Central heating turned on in the afternoon and about 5 in the morning with a whooshing noise. Informed staff and was told they knew about it. No dining room in the evenings which we did know when we booked, which was a shame. Used swimming pool which needs a bit of tlc. Staff were nice. We have stayed here before and hope that once all the refurb has been done this hotel will be up to scratch.

On arrival one of the lifts was broken, so lots of people trying to use one lift. Car park was very full. Normal charge is £12 a day for cars. We were on motorbikes and got to park for free😉👍 We had to ask housekeeping to change our bedding as the duvet and sheet were dirty. We didn’t eat there, so can’t comment on the food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place definitely needs a facelift, or at least a damn good clean. It was a short walk to the Sea front, so well placed, and reasonable value. I would stay here again. Mainly because I’m tight😂

Needs total refurbishment and clean. Paid for 2 breakfasts at £12.95 each and basically got 1 egg on toast and 1jam and toast. Manager hasn’t acknowledged by complaint. Very disappointing. Pool wasn’t clean and no treadmill in the gym

Absolutely Disgusting – This Hotel Should Be Shut Down I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was so revolting I feel a duty to warn others. This hotel is an absolute disgrace and should be shut down for the sake of public health and safety. The condition of the room was appalling. The carpet wasn’t just stained — it was filthy. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The bathroom was worse: the toilet seat was dirty with visible smears, and I had to wipe down the toilet roll before using it. There were long black hairs all over the bath and bathroom tiles, and a large dead moth had been splattered on the wall and left there in plain sight. Breakfast was of the lowest possible quality: cheap few options, No vegetables, and only a few poor-quality apples and oranges on offer. Even worse, the waitress was refilling the bread using her bare hands — no gloves — which is absolutely disgraceful, especially in a post-COVID world. Basic hygiene standards were clearly ignored. But by far the worst part: I brought bed bugs home with me. My own home is spotless, and it still cost me £600 in pest control fees to get rid of them. Completely unacceptable. This hotel should not be operating. It is unhygienic, unsafe, and utterly disgusting. Do not stay here — you are genuinely risking your health and your home. And don’t be fooled by the claim that this hotel has parking — it only has a limited number of spaces and they charge £12 per day. This is misleading.

Bed sheets hadnt been changed on arrival so found hair, food and other things in the sheets. To reception's credit they did move me to one that was clean, but changing the sheets between guests seems like the bare minimum for a hotel... Room was only accessible down steep slope - floors, corridors and room doors very noisy so you could hear everything and generally the place is extremely dated. The wing of the hotel where room 102 is has a very unpleasant smell. Plug sockets in bedroom and light in bathroom buzzed worryingly like an electrical short when turned on. That being said, I disagree with other reviews about the car park, which was fine out of season (although clearly too small if every room occupant wanted to park). The room cost was also particularly cheap. On reflection, would not recommend and wont be staying again.

Nowhere in your advertising did you mention that it was on a steep hill? The room hadn’t been cleaned. The furnishings were outdated. There were burn marks on the carpet and the curtains. I was unable to use the wardrobes as they smelt awful. It would’ve been nice to have had a choice of milk for the tea coffee facilities as opposed to the UHT milk that’s provided. So I had to go and buy my own semi skimmed milk for my drinks. I was very disappointed

This property was hideously noisy. People coming and going at 3 in the morning made the whole room shake. One lift was out of order making it difficult to navigate the building. The room was tired and tatty with a crack in the sink, a dirty toilet and a stained carpet.

We had to move room 3 times, the first room was next to work in progress, difficult to get down stairs, the second room had a tree outside the window giving us no view, the TV was also not working properly, the third room was ok but the floorboards creaked everytime you walked over them.

We had quite a pleasant stay here. Initially we were a bit worried because it looks VERY run down. Definitely needs modernising. The room we were given had not been decorated in years and the mattress was quite uncomfortable. However, the staff were extremely helpful. They showed us a couple of alternative rooms so we can see which we prefer. We needed something suitable for us to have our little boy with us. The room we finally were given had a more comfortable mattress. The swimming pool was nice enough, something to do on a rainy day. The sauna is not great but we enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool. The hotel needs some refurbishment, but I can imagine it will be an extremely costly job. Location was great and parking was a bonus. We had to pay for parking but we would have to pay if we parked near the beach if we tayed somewhere further away. Overall pleasant experience.

The staff were pleasant on arrival. The room we were first given was not good. Unable to get hot water, TV didn't work, curtains were ill fitting and you could have tbe curtains open as it was level with the road outside do absolutely no privacy unless you kept the curtains closed constantly. We requested to move rooms which the young lad on reception granted with no questions asked and was very apologetic saying they were going through refurbishment which wasnt mentioned when booking. The second room was better but there were issues. The room was extremely hot, the road noise was extremely noisy and the wash basin in the bathroom was so small and very low. Sadly we won't be back unless perhaps the refurb improves things.

Overall ok but the windows were thin as ice, you can hear absolutely everything going on outside. Constant banging and voices from the street. The wind noise felt like the windows were actually open.

Pleasent enough staff and we added breakfast for i day which was good value. The location is also good and the car park is a must in Bournmouth. As for the room itself,,,i would rate as very average. Half the lights in the room did not work and only 1 electrical socket to run the all the appliances in room TV / Fan / Kettle. We were in a twin room so charging phones ETC became a relay ! The room furnature is very old and basic old brown wood , the type you see in charity shops. The carpet was also stained and worn, The beds were quite comfortable and the bed linin was clean. We were in the area for a wedding so did not spend a huge amount of time in the hotel. The location and the price point made it possable for our needs. Not the best....but certainly not the worst. Could be a lot better with some overdue TLC.

Got there lift to 3rd floor not working. Had to get lift to 2nd floor then walk to third. Got to room key didn’t work in door. Cleaner let us in and reported to maintenance. We went out to come back to reception to pick up new key. With lift still not working. On next day wife had just got out of shower when she heard someone putting a key in the door. She grabbed a towel and opened the door to find a male housekeeper saying this room should be empty. Who are you. So told him we were booked for two nights. So he went then came back asking our name. So I had to go down to sort it out with reception. Who told us we were booked into room 314 not 312. But they gave us 312 when we arrived it’s also on my receipt. Then Saturday morning we went down for breakfast and was told our room was not on the list…. Also when we got to breakfast there were no sausages or bacon and I would have to wait 10 minutes. Then the wife’s breakfast was cold and had to ask to put it in the microwave. The weekend was not relaxing because of the hotel.

Bed sheets hadnt been changed on arrival so found hair, food and other things in the sheets. To reception's credit they did move me to one that was clean, but changing the sheets between guests seems like the bare minimum for a hotel... Room was only accessible down steep slope - floors, corridors and room doors very noisy so you could hear everything and generally the place is extremely dated. The wing of the hotel where room 102 is has a very unpleasant smell. Plug sockets in bedroom and light in bathroom buzzed worryingly like an electrical short when turned on. That being said, I disagree with other reviews about the car park, which was fine out of season (although clearly too small if every room occupant wanted to park). The room cost was also particularly cheap. On reflection, would not recommend and wont be staying again.

The hotel room was reasonably clean and spacious, although I was only one person in a double. I was really disappointed to find that the pool only opened at 9am. I wanted to be able to swim before breakfast, like you can in every other hotel I've ever stayed in with a pool. In the end this meant I didn't get to use the pool so feel that it was a waste of money booking this hotel. Although, the location was excellent for the conference I was at. The shower was difficult to use due to the angle and proximity to the tap end, but the water nicely hot. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the lift was out of order on the Friday and the Sunday of a weekend stay, which were my check in and check out days.

We had quite a pleasant stay here. Initially we were a bit worried because it looks VERY run down. Definitely needs modernising. The room we were given had not been decorated in years and the mattress was quite uncomfortable. However, the staff were extremely helpful. They showed us a couple of alternative rooms so we can see which we prefer. We needed something suitable for us to have our little boy with us. The room we finally were given had a more comfortable mattress. The swimming pool was nice enough, something to do on a rainy day. The sauna is not great but we enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool. The hotel needs some refurbishment, but I can imagine it will be an extremely costly job. Location was great and parking was a bonus. We had to pay for parking but we would have to pay if we parked near the beach if we tayed somewhere further away. Overall pleasant experience.

Attended a wedding as I was to give the bride away so stayed here. The reception was also at this hotel and no complaints can be made, they were very accommodating and attentive. The food was very good, both for the wedding and breakfast. Be aware if you don’t book directly with the hotel you will be charged £12 for overnight parking. I was told as I was attending the wedding that it would be refunded to me, that never happened. All in all, as long as you are aware that the rooms are being updated and you may get one that has not been, regardless of what you pay then it is a pleasant comfortable stay.

The overall condition of the hotel looks abit tired and could do with some modernization. The service provided from staff is not great. I have stated that I needed lactose-free diet and would like alternative to dairy milk for coffee prior to my stay. However, this was not tended to. I spoke to the staff and they said they would look into this for the next few days but nothing was done. It also seemed that the staff was not aware that I had already booked and paid for daily breakfast. The water pressure from shower spray is appalling, worse than the basin tap. Also, no hot water for showering was available. Great location but will not stay here again.

The hotel is excellently located and has excellent parking, albeit at extra cost unless you book directly with the hotel. One of the reception staff was a little curt, one pleasant but the former was not unpleasant or rude. The room I had was very dowdy and in need of decorating. It was however very clean with an excellent TV and a fairly generous supply of tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable and the linen was fresh. Best of all the shower, although a mixer type running from the taps, was so good and it was easy to get the balance right. I have had much worse showers in more much more expensive establishments. A rubber anti slip mat was supplied and, again, the towels were clean and the toilet and sink were old but clean. Please don’t let my comments about the old style and worn appearance of the room put you off. It has a pool, bar and would cater for your needs very well. I have stayed here before and will not hesitate to book again if I need an inexpensive room in the area.

Although the rooms need updating, we very much enjoyed our stay at the trouville. Breakfast was of good quality, the staff , fast and efficient. Helpful reception staff. The pool and sauna a pleasant suprise.

We went for a family trip to Bournemouth we booked this hotel, and it was absolutely amazing. They gave us refurbished family room which was just perfect. My only comment is for breakfast timing is very short as I’m there to enjoy my time, also the food order for breakfast needs to be organised may be give Breakfast order form to your guests to choose what they want to eat, a lot of mistakes and confusion I have seen during my stay.

we stay at the Trouville twice a year and accept it for what it is, cheap and cheerful, a place to lay your head after a day at the Christmas market. this time however the breakfast was such a debacle we will not eat there again. we were told it was buffet, but there were only rather old bacon and eggs in the hot plate. We asked for extra items and were told it would be 10 minutes. About half an hour later, we asked for it to go, to be told it was nearly ready and they didn't have a box. We got 3 times the food we asked for, inedible mushrooms beans came another 5 minutes later and were cold. I was dumping the key and not saying anything when the guy on reception, who was involved in the restaurant, asked how our stay was. he explained they had had a large group in and had only offered them a continental! there were dirty tables all over the restaurant.

On the other hand, the hotel was very dated, carpet and doors very dirty, the main lift was out of order. No air conditioning in the entire hotel. Our room was compact, the bathroom clean and spacious, the carpet dirty, newish furniture, two fans to cool the room down. The view out of the window was a dirty wall, only 2 feet away, limiting the natural light. Breakfast options were very limited, only cereals, fruits and yogurts available, no decaf tea/coffee. The full English breakfast was good, but small. No gluten free options at all. The chairs were dirty and the room looked untidy. We will not be staying there again.

The hotel is pretty shabby. The room was functional, but a bit grubby. The toilet seat was broken. The wall paper was coming off the wall and the shower was an angry teacher with a lisp. Breakfast was chaos as they constantly ran out of food. Not enough staff to maintain the demand at breakfast. Tables were left uncleared.

Needs total refurbishment and clean. Paid for 2 breakfasts at £12.95 each and basically got 1 egg on toast and 1jam and toast. Manager hasn’t acknowledged by complaint. Very disappointing. Pool wasn’t clean and no treadmill in the gym

Filthy rooms, damp windows riddled in mould. Emailed the manager was offered money of a return stay, have asked for a refund but he won’t reply now. No warning if a party which was extremely loud and coming through the floors, the receptionist was rude, yawning and disinterested. Tv controller had only one battery in it. Dirty walls.
