Lauriston & Lawton Court Hotel

First time staying at this hotel, loved it had private parking which was really convenient, the hotel was great breakfast was really good, liked it had a bar too

Staff were so helpful and friendly.Breakfast was brilliant and the service, nothing was to much trouble for staff who served breakfast. One fault was the car park very difficult to get out of car bays not very big, hotel did not take your registration number when checking in, this would be useful if people needed to be contacted for car parking issues

Lovely clean room with sea view.Great shower.Mirror not positioned well for my wifes hair dryer area. Very friendly staff.On site carpark was £10 per day. Breakfast was goid quality and perfectly cooked.

Good B&B. Great location. Great breakfast. Parking is a challenge. I'd stay there again.

Only one or two small problems ie no lifts for us older generation but manageable. The outside of the windows were dirty. Excellent staff food great.

Our room was small but comfortable and staff were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The car park behind the hotel is accessed from a narrow lane (car width only and 2 way) and parking can be challenging.

Excellent stay, lovely room, great staff, beautiful position on the Front. Only 2 negative comments- 1. Bathroom mastic & grout needs replacing as it is mouldy. 2. The stairs- I had a (.relatively fit) 84 year old with me & they were extremely hard work for her, I doubt she’d be able to take them on again in future years

Only criticism is no lift as we were on 3rd floor lots of steps to climb. Have been informed however that a lift is going to be installed in 2025.

The staff were very welcoming. He showed us the car park and carried our bags to the room Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was very nice and cooked fresh. The room was very clean towels changed regularly. We would have liked our tea mugs washed properly or changed daily.

We had a lovely stay. The room was very clean and comfortable with a fab view of the sea and promenade. The breakfast was great and staff were lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel room and toilet on arrival were not clean (mainly the room needs a good deep clean), dust was found behind bedside tables/on skirtings and evidence of drinks being split on the wall paper. Previous occupant rubbish found in bedside table drawers including prescripiton drugs. Hotel decor was a bit tired. On positives food was good and staff friendly.

Shower was small and wash basin could not be used unless door to bedroom was left open. Shower cubical vey small too i.e. very confined space and costrphobic. Pipework smelled too. Bedroom carpet exremeley dirty and smelly. Cobwebs in cubborads and general condition very poor. Door to bedroom could not be opened/closed as carpet flooring stopped it. Steep steps and no accessability in the event of fire. Smell of cooking oil in the hotel during breakfast time. Breakfast was resonable.

Very clean hotel. Comfy bed. Good breakfast. Close distance to all Llandudno attractions. Situated less than a minute from the beach and main street pubs and restaurants. 5 minutes walk to Great Orme Tramway or cable car. Was very pleased to stay there for a night on the trip with my parents.

The positives are that the hotel was very conveniently located on the North Promenade of Llandudno. The reception staff were very helpful and the staff at breakfast weren't bad either. Not so positive about the housekeeping staff I'm afraid. They really did do a bare minimum. The cooked Welsh Breakfast was very good, but at times the self serve aspect of the tea/coffee/toast and cereal part of breakfast got chaotic unfortunately. The parking (albeit at an additional £10.00 per night) was useful, but it was cramped and tested driving and parking skills at times. My only real gripes are we were on the third floor of a steep 50 step climb to our room with no lift. I don't remember seeing that we were at the top of the building when we booked. The other real complaint was our room (Red Keyfob 11) didn't have a window! Where you would expect a window there was a secure fire exit door! Despite management putting an electric fan in the room it would be very uncomfortable during a very warm spell I'm afraid. My overall impression was that the place was trying hard, but perhaps not hard enough. Our Room 11 really shouldn't be a guest room and my advice would avoid this room if offered it.

Very nice ans clean room, excellent breakfast

Our room was dirty, I spoke to the front desk manager on duty who said he would pass to ‘the manager’. We went out for dinner and came back - no response from ‘the manager’ and no offer of a solution by the person I spoke to so we went back to our dirty room. I spoke to ‘the manager’ this morning when we checked out and was told he’d speak to the owner and ask him to contact me, I’ve waited all day and not heard a thing - I’ve now been emailed from Expedia to write a review. Here’s what was wrong with the room: Coffee stains on the phone next to the bed Sweets under the bunk bed No liquor soap in the bathroom - just the empty bottle which looked like it had been empty for a long time - it was also filthy as it was attached to the wall right by the sink. Used soap in the shower Used towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door - which I thought was strange when I got out the shower when we first arrived - to then see the fresh towels folded on our beds so it seems that the towels hanging on the back of the door were left from the previous guests and I had used it after my shower! Dried blood on the back of the bathroom door which looked like it had been there for a while, Holes in bathroom walls which hadn’t even been attempted to be fixed. I wasn’t expecting The Ritz, but we’d booked this family room after a days walking at Aber Falls and for my husbands birthday. The state of the room was totally unacceptable and staff did nothing to help. I took pictures to document.

Location was perfect, right by the pier. However the condition of the hotel was a massive let down- room was very outdated with signs of heavy wear and tear everywhere. It was relatively clean although we noticed dirty finger marks in a few places. In room fridge initially seemed like a great bonus but it’s loud and placed right by the bed- it woke us up a few times. Cooked breakfast was good but let down by poor continental selection (pastries seemed stale, couldn’t finish them) and by poor condition of the dining room, its furniture and cleanliness. Staff were great and very attentive. Overall the hotel was just about passable for one night, personally wouldn’t stay there any longer.

One night stay in Llandudno a favourite place of ours. Normally do as day trip but as good weather forecast decided to stay over. Room was at the top so lots of stairs to climb but great sea view so worth it. Comfy bed and spacious room. Fairly recently renovated but headboard already been damaged which was a shame. Shower tray quite slippery so shower mat would have been better. Loved the chocolate and good old flump with our hot chocolate in the evening. Slept well and was greeted by a seagull on the windowsill in the morning!! Breakfast was amazing so much choice and quickly served up. Really enjoyed the fried bread. Paid for parking and whilst tight it was nice to have car somewhere safe. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Definite recommend and would stay again.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, made us feel really welcome. The room was a good size (superior double) with great sea views and it was very clean. Having a cozy bar with reasonable prices and the use of a free pool table was an added bonus. The hotel is great for relaxing and people watching.

Breakfast choice was ok although no cornflakes on day one Bed comfort was ok although room was very warm

Our stay was almost perfect & i say almost because the shower was scorching hot or very hot. There was no other options so even though the first day we arrived it was sunny and warm we couldn't have a shower. This definitely needs sorting as under these circumstances we would not book again.

We liked where the property was situated ans we had a sea view. The room itself was nice but small and very warm, the curtains was very heavy to draw so a blind would have been better. The staff were all very nice and nothing was to much trouble, theguys who served breakfast did a excellent job and the breakfast was very enjoyable.

The room was spotless and well furnished and comfortable, with great shower, but limited s[ace for toiletries which had to be placed on the floor. With five flights of stairs to negotiate it would prevent a return visit, but staff were helpful with the luggage and the advert warned about this.

very cramped accommodation in need of improvement. Window in bedroom very small and needs repair. Top of very steep stairs. Shower very small and cramped. Water pressure extremely irregular and unable to control temperature. Television remote does not work properly.

Fabulous, welcoming, helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms. Great location. Quiet but central and with lovely sea views. The breakfast was excellent.

I would like to thank the hotel for all the help they gave to me and my husband who is registered blind they could not have been more helpful and I would definitely stay again. The breakfasts were fabulous thank you all.

Great hotel! I was in a family room with my 2 children and we all said we'd stay here again. Even though we had a sea-view room, right opposite the beach, we were not disturbed by outside noise because of the good double glazing. Breakfast, beds & shower were all fab. All the staff were very nice, especially the amazing Leo on reception. He really went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect. Room was clean and cosy and bed was lovely I had a great sleep. View from the room of the mountains was lovely. Breakfast was amazing and fresh and I will definitely be returning in the summer.

I reported the Kettle in the room wasnt working nobody came to fix it

We had a great stay last weekend . Leo and Justin were great and available at the hotel when ever needed. Breakfast was excellent and the whole hotel had a relaxed and friendly feel. Our room was perfectly situated and there was lots of space. Will definatly be returning.

We've just returned from a lovely, 2 night stay here. The location is fantastic, right on the beach, opposite the pier and just a 5-10 minute walk into town. Approximately 15 minutes from the train station. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were hearty. Full English then some! Cereal, fruit, pastries, yogurts, ham, cheeses etc. Rooms were cosy and comfortable yet spacious. The bed was comfy and the shower was great. It's an old property but modernised although there is no lift nor ramp. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely time here. Lovely breakfast and really nice staff . We had stunning views from our room . Perfect location for us to see the sites of Llandudno with two children . Loved the ferris wheel view from their bunk bed and the fabulous pier. Short walk to tram to the mines and happy valley garden . It was too windy to go on cable car which is a short walk from the hotel . The Alice in wonderland theme went down well with our kids . Lovely restaurants around the corner and convenience stores for bits and pieces also. We were able to park across the road which made life easy for us. Gorgeous start to our Welsh holiday.

Hotel is in an excellent position. Friendly welcome on arrival. Room 6 is quite cosy and overlooks the Prince Edward Sq/ Beach/Sea. Breakfast was rather chaotic due to number of guests but service was brilliant and the food excellent. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

It was a good experience. Location fantastic...overlooking the pier and beach...walking distance from shops and high street.

The property was excellent and well maintained. The local area had everything we needed.

Great location. Very welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Downside was too many steps to get to our room which was on the top floor. This would not stop us from booking this hotel again. We would request a room on a lower floor.

Plentiful and healthy breakfast, comfortable bed and a very warm welcome by friendly staff.

The room is good enough for a group of five. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very excellent and well served. The location is good. The hotel had reserved a parking space for us. But we are allocated on the fourth floor, so we had to carry the heavy luggage. Luckily, the night staff helped us to carry it, but when we left, we had to carry the luggages ourselves. The beds are too soft for us.
