Imperial Hotel

Hotel on seafront Llandudno. Nice attentive staff, food excellent. Has bar area and terrace plus Gym & Pool. Nice to have a Dinner Menu that is not all Pizza & Burger.

The room was large, nice bathroom but cold on arrival. We later found out there was a switch in the bedroom to turn the towel rail on. Draughty windows. Dated decor in the bedrooms but the bed was comfy. We wanted a lesuire break but were disappointed by the pool and facilities. If you are a guest, you cant use the changing rooms by the pool. You are expected to go down in a small lift, through the gym area and back passage to the pool. In a robe very small barely covered you. The jaccuzi was full of sand and over it electric wiring a rotted 8 x 4 wooden beam. H&S issue! Breakfast reasonable, We didnt eat dinner in the hotel, as not to our taste. Dessert £10. Over priced hotel, definately not a 4 star.

Staff were really kind, understanding and friendly! Overall amazing customer service! Vegetarian breakfast was top-notch! Loved the pool and hot tub!

The staff were very polite and was very helpful nothing was too much trouble. Room was cleaned daily. Food was very good and varied.The only criticism was that the main lift was out of order whilst we were there so had to use the smaller lift which often made it a longer wait to get to our room. Beautiful hotel. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and spacious. Only had breakfast but it was excellent. Location brilliant short walk from train station and right overlooking promenade. I was drawn to this hotel because of the pool and was not disappointed the pool was clean and there was even a jacuzzi would definitely come back .

Very well maintained hotel. Some of furnishings are a little tired but spotlessly clean, pleasant and helpful staff, great pool and gym area. Excellent situation on the promenade. Parking is a little tight but the hotel did email before our trip so we were well prepared for this. Overall highly recommended.

I booked this hotel as they said they offered car parking and EV charging. I have an EV so I thought perfect. On arrival they have 25 spaces for 95 rooms so every parking spot was taken. Also, they do have EV charge points but they are not dedicated to EV so non EV use these slots. I had to park away from the hotel in the train station and walk back and forth. I was mis-led into booking this hotel. If I had known the truth about parking and EV charging I would have stayed elsewhere.

Large well equipped room- warm- very pleasant public rooms- good breakfast- quiet- good location- one of the best hotels we have stayed at in terms of comfort Wifi not strong in room Parking an issue Guests can't use changing rooms for pool and leisure facilities. Thus they are set up for public humiliation by having to walk through the hotel to the pool in tiny, revealing robes which the hotel admits have shrunk because of too hot washing. The hotel must either buy new robes or let guests use the changing rooms

Lovely clean, spacious room. Breakfast good with plenty of choice. Used pool and steam room/sauna, nice clean areas. Hotel reception staff welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Rest of hotel kept clean and well presented, bar and restaurant areas are nice too. Lovely lights in corridor from reception to lifts. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

Only gave a 3star for cleanliness as there was a mark on my duvet, that was there when we arrived.

We stayed for one night and from start to finish our stay was exceptional. All of the staff from the reception to the dining room to the bar were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. All customer facing institutions should send their staff here for lessons on how customer service should be. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and the quietest we have ever stayed in. We had a delicious meal in the hotel restaurant in the evening and breakfast the following morning was equally as good. We ate in the terrace which was a fabulous setting overlooking the sea. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We felt pampered and well looked after and would definitely stay there again.

Very friendly staff and a lovely clean bright room but as it was on 5th floor it was excessively hot even with fan and window open - possibly above kitchen extractors? I would go again if possible with seaview or request 1st to 3rd floor room. Also be careful of scaldingly hot water from taps and shower.Small points but better to know. Wonderful buffet breakfast! Our highlight was morning coffee each day from the bar - makers of the perfect latte and shortbread!

Grand old dame of a hotel. I opted for a single room as the photo looked like there was a small double bed. Sadly the bed was single & of no weight at all, meaning I woke up often in the night with the bed moved about a foot from the wall; so not a comfortable night of sleep sadly. Everything else was ok.

We liked everything's about the hotel, except for there being no air-conditioning in the bedrooms, otherwise it was great.

Nice staff and clean rooms. Would be better if there is a small fridge in the room.

I requested a sea view room and we had a lovely room at the top of the hotel with a balcony and views over Llandudno

Good access to the bay facilities and easy walking. The room was very special having twin aspect windows one north out across the Irish Sea and one east along the promenade and bay

The hotel is fantastic. The staff are so very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are cooked to perfection. We were lucky enough to stay in room 515 which has its own terrace. The room was one of the best we have ever stayed in. We loved it so much we have booked to go back again nex year in the same room. Can not fault this hotel at all.

The room is outdated and the rug should be replaced. There was NO air conditioning in the room, which made it uncomfortable for us to sleep.

Hotel staff were really nice, nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts and had a lovely 70th Birthday meal in Chantreys. Food was excellent. Plenty of Gluten Free options for my friend. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and warm. Looking forward to a return visit.

Some hotels look good online but when you arrive often they disappoint. The Imperial ticked all the boxes - location, staff, room, breakfast, evening meal, service, friendliness. We are certainly planning to visit again.

The bar staff were ridiculous slow told us to take a seat whilst they then served customers who came after us but stood at the bar and waited for their drinks took over 25mins to be served had to go the bar and ask for them

Everyone at check out was asked how their stay was, EXCEPT us. Breakfast staff was rude

We had an amazing stay at the Imperial, which was a belated celebration for my 50th Birthday. We found a parking space on the hotel car park, received a lovely warm & friendly welcome upon our arrival by Receptionists Charlotte & Olivia & upon check-in they advised our room was ready early & we'd been given a surprise upgrade to a seaview suite. When we entered the suite we were taken aback by how stunning it was & on the table was a birthday card & voucher for us to each have a complimentary glass of prosecco during our stay, which we enjoyed with our lunch in the Terrace. Our table looked out to sea & we were well looked after during our meal by a lovely friendly & attentive waitress whose name I didn't get. Food was delicious & we felt very relaxed. Our bathroom was huge & it was good to have a bubble bath with nice toiletries after an afternoon out in the sun. We enjoyed the pianist & atmosphere in the bar whilst having a glass of wine before going out for the evening, we enjoyed a nightcap when we got back & saw toothpaste had even been kindly left in our room for us after I mentioned we forgot ours. We had a good night sleep, a nice sauna/swim in the Mint Condition Spa in the morning followed by a hearty breakfast where we were again given a nice table in the Terrace by a waiter who ensured we were well looked after. The hotel's attention to detail is amazing & the attentiveness, efficiency & friendliness of all the staff was wonderful & they made our stay very special.

The service and staff are unparalleled - personable, efficient and professional. Well kept property that only lacks some sort of air moving/handling, ceiling fans, etc.

Friendly and efficient staff; character Victorian hotel on sea front. Would definitely return, and Llandudno is an attractive town worth coming back to too.

A lovely place to stay; deserving of its 4 stars without being stuffy. Excellent gluten free breakfast options. 10 mins walk from the railway station and from shops and restaurants, right on the prom.

Not far from train 🚆 station, friendly staff helpful, I will stay again , nice hotel just to sit and let the world go by , food and drink available all day , plenty to do around the area the town is lovely , like a time gone by .

Perfect location. Room clean. Staff in reception and in dining area very helpful. Breakfast excellent, coffee not great. Linen especially pillowcases and pillows are worn out, very disappointed low quality.

The breakfast was brilliant absolutely lovely. But sadly the evening dinner was poor, we had the chicken dinners they had far too much salt in them, surely it has to be the customer who has the choice of adding their own to taste. And the hassle back potato were just awful, along with the over cooked and very dry chicken. We couldn’t complain at the time as we would have been late for a theatre show. No body likes to complain i know but at £70 it was disappointing.

High standrs of cleanliness in room and ensuite bathroom, both spacious with ample storage for a week long stay if desired. Perfectly cooked to order steak, sides and fresh crisp salad with decent wine list. Dinner and breakfast taken on light covered terrace with great views of the bay, prom, pier and Great Orme. Excellent attentive service.

Everything was perfect, except on the last day Sunday 27th july. Service at breakfast was very poor. 5 staff stood talking at reception desk at breakfast and had eaten breakfast before we ask 3 staff for coffee or tea. We waited 20 minutes before we got tea & coffee. Otherwise everything was perfect.
